    Overall I am very happy with the Printer. Its the first i can say that will give Bambu and run! I have literally, every creality printer. None are in my farm. They just havent been at the qualtiy level i need for our brand. Now, things have changed. The printer is a close to production version. The Firrmare is getting updated and new features are being added. I just got FLOW calibration and PA calibtration. I am currently testing what is the difference between each and how it impacts our prints. The pain is the fact that after the last update I have had to recalibrate all my profiles. There are surely changes in the firmware that impacted the print. Now the prints are not bad but I had gaps in my top layer. I like smooth top layers no ironing. This printer is a solid yes! I am wating to see what Bambu will have next year. but if you want a large printer this is it. I can print 4 parts per tray on the bambu, I can print 9 parts at time. Love it

    I'm really excited to see so many multicolor 3D printers hitting the market in 2024! It's awesome to have more options for multicolor printing. However, the prices are pretty steep, so I'll need to consider my actual needs and maybe wait six months to see if they’re worth the investment. If these printers are mainly targeted at farm operators, how do they stack up against the FLSUN S1 Pro? Can they handle fast, batch printing efficiently? Maybe one day they’ll become a part of my workflow.

    • @ebpman
      @ebpman  Місяць тому +3

      I have the s1 pro in test right now. The s1 pro is about 20 min faster in every print I have made. It's crazy fast. It's also much quieter than the last model. I am working with flsun on quality. The prints I am getting are not to my farm standards. But to be fair, it's a pre production unit. Firmware, software changes are taking place now. I have been working with them on top layer finish. They got dimension accuracy down.

    Thank you so much for doing reviews based on the ability to make technical products. I would love to see tests with parts that have to be bolted, pressed, work as joints... as well.
    Engineering stuff.
    The Bambulab X1C is fantastic, but like you I really need a larger build size - not so much Z height and really just the ability make long parts, so I would be very happy with a double/tripple wide version, as opposed to all the ones that work on cubic, as I really need to be able to make longer parts. What form factor would be best for someone like you?
    I would hand over the money right away if they came with a X2C

    Because with all the problems that we had with the K1 series, I don't trust it.
    It looks quite large, which is very appealing to me. I wouldn’t choose it for multi-color printing, as my A1 setup meets my needs. By the end of November, I'll be deciding between the K2plus and the FLsun S1pro.

    I have needed a large format printer for a while now, several items I have designs for need to be cut because they are about 325mm. So far that rules out single print for me. I could borrow the local school's Ender 5 Plus to do the print on, but that's a PITA and I need to schedule time with the classes that use it. I heard Bambu was rumored to have a large format printer in the works for later in 2024 (but here we are in Mid-November and radio silence), but this? I mean, the quality looks to be there. 350C nozzle temp, heated chamber, hardened steel nozzle....and it should be available at my local MicroCenter soon? Yea...I may be skipping the wait on the Bambu Labs and getting this. Creality does 100% scare me, I've got 2 of their printers and I got 2 unicorns (I've never had issues as many others have), but I do know Creality can be a nightmare to deal with, and their printers can/do have issues.
    This though makes it look like Creality may have done some serious work to get a high quality printer out to market, and that bed size? That could just seal the deal!

    Hi, there’s Creality Print v 5.1.6 out now, I’m getting much better prints now that I’ve done some calculations, my surface finish is smooth and the first layer surface is smooth, not that I had a problem in the first place. Because of the issues in C/Print 5.0 I went back to v4; I now use C/Print 5.1.6 which was released a few weeks ago now. I still have a slight cobweb stringing which I’m sure there’s a setting to adjust which should eliminate this. Also, I have a K1 using the smooth heat bed which I have the bed heat at 60c, I’ve only been 3D printing for nearly 12 months, but had been looking at 3D printers for about 5 years.
    Great video and interesting. Take care. Regards Gary

    Hey this looks like a great printer. Coming from the Voron and Bambu world i think your first layer issues are z-offset issues most likely. Its a common issue with printers like the Sovol SV08. That screen looks very locked down even though it runs klipper. I would so a Z-offset calibration if it has one. You can use the Web UI to log in to the printer and do z-offset calibrate if your screen does not let you.

      If it’s like the k1 you can do it in the slicer or on the machine itself.

    A couple of things I'd like to see is times for the following;
    1). From getting a job, what's the time until it begins to print?
    2). In the case of Multi colour, what is the time it takes to do a filament change and return to printing.
    My XL 5TH takes almost 9 minutes to start which seems an eternity compared to the others. But the filament change is 5 seconds compared to Bambu's almost 30 seconds. This is where it kills the single toollheads for print speed.
    Single colours mostly my 5M Pro will knock the job over quickest or if it's busy, the Bambu. But Muti colour the lack of waste and the speed it will always be the XL.

I do love the gold PEI built plates best...Nice looking machine, loving what has been released in printers in recent year or two. Waiting to see Bambu latest and greatest release. Right now very happy with my Q1 pro and Plus4(they fixed heater chamber issue on units going out and for early release 115V stuff) from Qidi, at $799 the Plus4 with 305mm plate does fine job. Will be waiting til sometime in 2025 before I choose larger than my 305mm machine(hope to see greater than 350mm footprint at least say a 375-400 on Z, but will go with a multi color or multi tool setup. Time will tell. I am curious to see how the AMS unit for my QIDI works out once released. Sure seems like the whole RFID tag thing is becoming popular. Appreciate the review, but I have many concerns with this machine. Especially around multi-color... the example you showed is, we'll call it, a single layer. The benchy wouldn't count either as it just changes color completely at a certain layer. How does the machine do with true multi-color prints?
    Also, based on what I'm seeing from other videos, I'm seeing and hearing:
    1) Difficulties with jams
    2) TERRIBLE prints
    3) TERRIBLE layer lines
    4) Unable to use silk PLA in the CFS
    5) Too tightly rewinding filament in the CFS
    6) Issues with cardboard spools
    7) A lot of Z-wobble
    8) A very noisy CFS
    9) Issus with power failure recovery
    10) Issues with color shifts
    11) Not being able to print multi-color below .2 mm
    Have you experienced or can you speak to any of these?
    I have one on pre-order and I'm experiencing a certain level of anxiety that it's going to be a nightmare, poor quality prints, and a waste of money.
    I'm getting stellar prints from my A1/AMS lite combo and was really hoping that this was going to be an issue free machine with high quality prints rivaling the A1 & X1 out of the box. It doesn't sound like it so far.

      No to all except 11. I have not done. Multicolor below..2.its been very stable. I had one jam in the cfs because the spool was too wide. It was a plastic wide spool. But jam cleared easy with release button under cfs. I have 2 a1 and the rest of my farm is p1s and x1c. I can't say that this is 100% at the same level as the firmware is getting updated and features are being opened. For example PA and flow testing just became availble. That said, I can tell that the ai works. I see differences in prints where PA and flow have been calibrated. All in all it's been a great experience. This is not common for creality

    I appreciate this but I have been finding there is an inherent lack of information on these new printers and how well they work with different materials. For example, most of these high speed printers completely lack in the department of 95 A TPU/TPE. I see 0 info on any of this stuff. I am growing a little irritated with it because I feel like these machines are completely ignoring it. For instance, the Bambu printers knot the ever living heck out 95. Some other printers like the Prusa mk4 are a different beast all together making a great machine for flexibles.

      My small business prints all of our products in TPU and some are tall with a thin wall, so bed slinger designs cause the part to move as it's printing. Even on a coreXY printer where the XY gantry moves on top and the part only moves slowly in the Z axis, TPU flow characteristics don't allow high speed printing. I'm mostly interested in the newer printers for input shaping and more precise motion control hardware for better print quality, for a larger bed that allows more parts to be printed in a single print job, and more refined hardware that is more reliable. The latter is not yet proven for the K2 Plus, and Creality's history makes me wonder, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. They seem to have upped their game with the K2 Plus. I think I'd be able to pull the glass top off the K2 Plus and feed TPU directly into the extruder from an overhead bearing hub reel, eliminating the long reverse Bowden tube.
      For a future product, I'd love to be able to print ABS and TPU together in a single part. This would require a heated chamber and probably a directly fed extruder for the TPU. Bambu now has a TPU that works in their AMS. Presumably it's a higher durometer, and presumably it'd also work in the Creality K2 Plus with a CFS. Possibly my best hope is a Sovol SV08 with an enclosure, either passively heat the chamber or add my own thermostatically controlled chamber heater, and implement a swappable print head that the Sovol/Voron community has developed. If that could be made to be reliable, the added advantages would be much less filament waste when changing filaments and faster filament swaps. My product is ABS on the bottom and TPU on the top, so it would only need the filament swap for a few mm in the middle.

      @@Liberty4Ever Normal 85 TPU works fine in the printer. I dont really know what you were trying to get at here, but being concerned about the other features you said... all of those are written on the box before sale. The concern with things like 95 A is that these machines simply dont have a decent, small clearance between the extruder and the hotend. I can run TPE/TPU 95A an minimum speeds and it will still just stretch it. Then I can go over to my sprite hotend on an ender 3 and it works every time. Bambu just stretches the filament instantly. 85A isnt really a problem as its stiff enough not to stretch.

    • @Liberty4Ever
      @Liberty4Ever 2 місяці тому

      @@WhatsTheWordBozo - Shore 95A is a higher durometer than 85A. 95A stretches less than 85A, not more. The lower the durometer, the more difficult it is to feed and print.

    So the software on the K2 lacks. You lost my respect when you claimed the Bambu must be disassembled if it has a filament jam. I expected more from a farm owner. You replace entire print head assembly on Bambu rather than change a nozzle? wow. Dude that seems noobish.. Get an aftermarket nozzle. It is big and quiet.. but it is Chinese Creality.. they jam and break.
    It isnt perfect... but is Crealitys best. Nope. I will wait for Bambu. Very disappointed with Creality .
