Macyn Taylor playing "I'll See You in My Dreams," written by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn, arranged by Macyn Taylor on her new Petros baroque parlor guitar. www.petrosguita... www.macyntaylor...
She has so much heart and soul in her playing and singing. I love how she ends almost every song with such a bright smile of almost pure delight and happiness
A lovely guitar, and a talented singer and guitarist, but it's the overall sense of joy emanating from the whole video that has this south east Londoner in tears!! Thanks and well done.
Always love seeing Macyn play guitar. Didn't realize that Macyn had such a lovely voice! When I saw that gorgeous Petros guitar I immediately was reminded of the wonderful Mr Bozo Podunavac's style of acoustic guitar detail.
I heard this song performed on the documentary "Concert for George" by Joe Brown playing a Ukelele. Your performance on this song is superb! By the way thats a really cool Petros baroque parlor guitar.
Very nice! You started playing and it reminded me of Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins. They do a nice version of that on their "Neck and Neck" album. I'd love for you to have the opportunity to play with Mark someday. Thanks!
I've Become a Huge Fan of You over the past few months, ever since I stumbled upon your video of Playing "Black Mountain Rag" on the Porch ( Still My Favorite version of this Song Bye the Way)! You always Blow me away by your great playing and your performances are always understated with a personal touch that really endears me to you!
Macyn, I have only known of you about 3 days but I keep coming back because of your innate musicality.I love your playing and singing, before, during and after braces, with and without babies, with and without critics, with and without guitar marketing, with and without Macyn marketing, and in every little room, couch, chair, garden, parlor, stage, bathtub, just the way you are. It is evident that you just enjoy making music and have a blast doing it. Congratulations on the masters as well. And you taught me who Joseph Spence is. Ry Cooder tried but you succeeded.
Howdy Macyn look up in the sky Jango Rheinhart is smiling down at a ya ((((: Wonderful performance amazing guitar work very nice vocals stay cool kid Rich
I am convinced that you are a reincarnated version of some I know...it's just that crazy! Then again, maybe your the first and best! It just blows my mind. Love it!
Like you, Merle Travis goes to that Bb7 chord on the word "dreams", but I think it actually goes to the F minor with the d on the B string. Also - a nice chord - the final line - See you in *my* - play this chord. Low E - 3rd fret, D string - 3rd fret, G string first fret, B and high E - open. (roll it :)
Good picking-but need to work on damping the bass strings. That may seem doctrinaire, but it's a better tribute to Merle if you get that thunk for the thumb.
If you would have watched this video better, you would have known that there are TWO babies giggling. This is early cultural education! You can't start early enough...
