on the plus side.. this is one of the few Cooking with Jack recipes that won't give you food poisoning. If you watch his channel enough, you'll see him eat raw chicken on a regular basis
@@vincenzosplate there are so many bad recipes on his channel and a large number of them are actually hazardous to your health.. Church Chili (in which he serves rotting meat) Lazy Man's Omelette (where he boils food in regular plastic baggies) McCormick Bag 'N Season (chicken almost bleeds when he cuts it) with the McCormick (a seasoning company in the U.S.) episode, he does note that the red means the chicken isn't completely cooked.. he then goes on to say that it isn't an issue and to either eat around it or to throw it in the microwave for a minute. one of his worst affronts to cooking is the titular recipe of Aunt Myrna's Party Cheese Salad, which is horrible on levels I can not describe. You seem like a really nice guy, you make excellent food, and you give wonderful advice.. I would not advise watching, and especially not tasting, Aunt Myrna's Party Cheese Salad.
My wife loves your spaghetti pomodoro, and your wife's tip to use the blender, makes it more creamy indeed. It's so fast and easy. I like to use bucatini pasta with it, for the texture, and because how well the sauce sticks. It's become a commonly requested dinner.

I'm not sure what is the worse thing Jack has made anymore. I think it is a tie between the raw pork in his pulled pork video and that year old freezer burned brisket he put in his Chili.
When cooking pasta never submerge everything into a large pot of water. Water dilutes the flavors and the dish becomes very bland. Always cook your pasta in a separate pot and saute your meats and vegetables in a separate pan. Cooking your ingredients into separate pans helps to enrich and intensify your pasta and sauce.
You would think if it was a “lazy” man’s pasta, he would start the water first and then add the pasta and the other ingredients while waiting for it for it to boil. There’s nothing lazy about adding extra time to your process. If anything, he should’ve started the water while getting the other ingredients together. All the flavor was left in the pot. This is why he should have cooked the pasta separate, or tried to cook it with less liquid. If I was him I would’ve used broth or stock, only put enough to cover the pasta and put the lid on the pot. When it needed more stock then add the garlic. Lastly add the basil and the oil. Did he use salt in the water? 🤔
Grazie mille for your kind words! 🙏🏻😄 It's my pleasure to bring laughter to your kitchen adventures. Stay tuned for more tasty treats and hilarious reactions! Buon appetito! 🍽️🎉
I was taught to cook some pasta dishes back in the 70s by a lovely Italian lady who had 8 kids and was a friend of the family. Then in later years I worked in a factory which made lasagna in bulk for catering. The guy who ran the factory was an amazing Italian guy who devised an automated method for the laying of the pasta and sauce and all of our ingredients were fresh, no added MSG or TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein or Fake meat), our meat was 96% fat free Beef or fresh skinned chicken, and it tasted wonderful but was very expensive to make compared to the cheaper products that were loaded with additives. We use fresh veggies including mushrooms, fresh herbs, fresh everything and you could TASTE it! Everything was made and used on the day, including the pasta itself, the bechamel and the filling sauce, no left overs kept for the next day except the topping cheese which was a mixture of Mozzarella with a dash of Pecorino and Parmesan for a little bite. We had three types we made, a beef, a chicken and mushroom and a vegetable and feta and they were honestly yummy. I grew up in Melbourne Australia and have been shown how to cook a variety of Italian, Greek, Lebanese etc dishes by the mothers of my friends and I swear they would first weep at seeing what Jack does, then go hunting him for ruining good food. I can see a bunch of ladies in aprons waving kitchen knives, wooden spoons chasing him down the street!

@@vincenzosplate Jack non accetta mai critiche da nessuno, è pieno delle sue delusioni. Lui prepara orribili ricette come questo da *quindici anni* e non è cambiato affatto.
I used to make a lot of one-pot-pasta variations a few years back, but not with a recipe, I just threw stuff together, but to be honest, I used Penne or Fussili for it, I glazed my onions as a base, maybe browned some ground beef, tomato paste, seasoning, then put in vegetable broth with more water, let it bubble up, put in the noodles, put the lit on for a few minutes, turned the heat down during that process and then took the lid off and stirred openly over the heat until sauce had an acceptable thickness (I don't like runny sauce). It tasted fine. But I probably wouldn't do that anymore, because what I realized was that I could just put the water on the stove, do whatever until the water would start boiling, had time to prepare vegetables to cut or cheese to grind, turn on the heat under my saucepan and once the water starts boiling, I make my sauce in the pan while the noodles are cooked. It's literally the same time the noodles need to cook anyway that the sauce takes to be ready (for regular lazy sauce, not an actual recipe). It's just not going to get any faster, no matter how it's done. One Pot simply meant I had less dishes to wash, but it's not even that much less in the long run.
You've got a point there! One-pot pasta can be convenient, but it's not always the fastest or tastiest option. Your method of multitasking with a separate saucepan for sauce sounds like a great way to ensure everything is cooked to perfection. And fewer dishes to wash is always a plus! 🍝🍅🧀🍽️

I think I'm gonna use these ingredients (but I want to try using fresh mozzarella instead of parmesan), but I'm gonna go ahead and boil the noodles separate and sauté the onion with the garlic. I'll also use less basil at the end and add in some fresh bay leaves and rosemary with it. The tomatoes I will cut and add in without cooking them at all. I totally agree, I wish he did some few readings before actually doing this.

Fun fact the Frigo brand is owned by a Canadian company founded by an Italian immigrant Giuseppe Saputo
This is great! Thank you for this fact.
My late mother had a lazy pasta dinner. She would cook a bunch of elbow macaroni. And then dump a jar of her previously canned garden tomatoes on it. That was it
Atleast she cooked the macaroni separately. OR not?
@@vincenzosplate She cooked them separately
My kids love plain pasta with tomato sauce
Love your reactions (in Italian). Must say ever since you made the "hack" sofritto tomato sauce, I've never wanted to do it any other way. Loved that recipes you have shown again in this video. Too bad my partner doesn't like mint and lemon and I do 🙁
Thank you! Have you tried any other of my recipes?
@@vincenzosplate yes. Love the broccoli garlic. I usually make it with some grilled salmon. We re not italian so "just" pasta gets some weird reactions. And ofc cacio e pepe sometimes. Want to try the gnocchi but havent found the courage to try.

Vincenzo wants to put a hit out on Jack. The anger on his face is hilarious. He's probably thinking about the best hitters to call during the video.
I'm praying he'll do good next time.
Lazy pasta is like buy finished sauce and cook pasta seperatly then mix them together 😂 and this just came out of my brain and am not a shef
You're right, lazy pasta is exactly what you described. It's a quick and easy way to make pasta without having to make your own sauce. There's no shame in buying finished sauce, especially if you're short on time or energy.
The look of disbelief and despair, priceless 😆
😂😂😂
You're right it tasted delicious 😀
I'm not Italian at all, but I reckon I felt the same despair as Vincenzo.
What a sad sad dish - drowning all the raw ingredients (and their flavours) in a bath, and then eating the whole soggy bland mess.
A true crime against Italian cuisine !
One Million followers WOW CONGRATULATIONS....!!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words! Hope you enjoy the recipes and keep cooking with me 😊👨🍳

I hope this guy never does a visit in Italy. He's going from airbort directly into jail for major pasta disgrace...

As a fellow cook it makes me feel better that I’m not alone in feeling actual pain watching jack cook.
If I was a girl and this guy made that pasta for me with his automatic salt and pepper machines I would RUN
Run very fast!! 😂
13:36 The utter ridiculousness of that statement over a flavorless bowl of wet noodles brought out the angry Italian in Vincenzo immediately XD
Haha! 😂 Italians take their pasta seriously, and for good reason. No one wants a flavorless bowl of wet noodles! 🍝🇮🇹😠
YOU can put a little oil in salted water when you cooking pasta so it dont stick for pot (but not that much few drops of Olive oil )
I don’t know why I’m only getting this one now but, I love it. Jack is so bad, salmonella is afraid of him. I’d love to see your reaction to his poor man’s lasagna.
Also, this video is old. Jack suffered a stroke early last year or at the end of the previous year, I forget, so his recent videos have him just using his one arm and I his wife helps with the close ups.
on the plus side.. this is one of the few Cooking with Jack recipes that won't give you food poisoning. If you watch his channel enough, you'll see him eat raw chicken on a regular basis
Are there a lot more bad recipes?
@@vincenzosplate there are so many bad recipes on his channel and a large number of them are actually hazardous to your health..
Church Chili (in which he serves rotting meat)
Lazy Man's Omelette (where he boils food in regular plastic baggies)
McCormick Bag 'N Season (chicken almost bleeds when he cuts it)
with the McCormick (a seasoning company in the U.S.) episode, he does note that the red means the chicken isn't completely cooked.. he then goes on to say that it isn't an issue and to either eat around it or to throw it in the microwave for a minute.
one of his worst affronts to cooking is the titular recipe of Aunt Myrna's Party Cheese Salad, which is horrible on levels I can not describe. You seem like a really nice guy, you make excellent food, and you give wonderful advice.. I would not advise watching, and especially not tasting, Aunt Myrna's Party Cheese Salad.
What a gem to send to my Italian colleagues...for Easter
Sounds like a great plan to piss them off. Hahaha!
Dry vegetable soup!!!!😆

My wife loves your spaghetti pomodoro, and your wife's tip to use the blender, makes it more creamy indeed. It's so fast and easy. I like to use bucatini pasta with it, for the texture, and because how well the sauce sticks. It's become a commonly requested dinner.

@@vincenzosplate thank you vincenzo 🙏 pasta straight from the pot to the sauce pan and using the pasta water were some important basics.
I'm not sure what is the worse thing Jack has made anymore. I think it is a tie between the raw pork in his pulled pork video and that year old freezer burned brisket he put in his Chili.
🙈🙈🤢🤢
Are you sure it wasn't the wedding cake he made for his son?
When cooking pasta never submerge everything into a large pot of water. Water dilutes the flavors and the dish becomes very bland. Always cook your pasta in a separate pot and saute your meats and vegetables in a separate pan. Cooking your ingredients into separate pans helps to enrich and intensify your pasta and sauce.
Hey, kitchen maestro! 👨🍳🍝 Your separate pan symphony adds flavor harmony! Let's cook with style and keep those tastes dancing! 💃🕺🇮🇹
👨🍳🧐 You've got some serious pasta wisdom! Starting with boiling water first and using stock for flavor would have been great ideas. 🍝🔥
You are such a treat to watch. Thank you for the laughs, chef 😂
Wow, your culinary journey with Italian cuisine sounds incredibly rich and authentic! 🇮🇹🍝 It's clear that you've had the privilege of learning from talented cooks who value fresh, high-quality ingredients. Jack's unconventional methods might indeed leave those seasoned home cooks in disbelief! 😅🍴 Keep cherishing those delicious memories and the love for real Italian food! 🍽️👨🍳

How can it be al dente when the pasta sat in cold water before boiling?
Can’t think that it will have that many flavours, since it was slow boiled.
What would you taste? The onion?

Mamma mia 😱
@@vincenzosplate Jack non accetta mai critiche da nessuno, è pieno delle sue delusioni. Lui prepara orribili ricette come questo da *quindici anni* e non è cambiato affatto.
I can HEAR the despair in your voice and I want to just hug you :D
🥰🥰🙈
You know what's crazy. That some people are gonna watch this guy's video and gonna think: 'Oh that's interesting, maybe I'll try it'. Such a trap. Looks disgusting.
Btw, I made spicy tuna pasta from your latest recipe. It's a king on my table now, making it every week now. Such a good dish!
