    This guy, which is a lazy man, really tried to make a Lasagna... but who tells him that lasagna is a completely different thing? 😭
    He just mixed poor ingredients with no love at all, and I'm so tired of these Pasta Casseroles that are becoming more and more Popular!

      No offense to anyone, but an American with one Italian great-great-grandmother does not count as Italian. (Same goes to every other nationalities, but let's stick with Italian right now.) They are an American. My personal favourites when they even start debating about how they know better Italian (and the other for other nationalities) culture, because they are Italian (and again, other). Like, wtf, their gene pool is Italian maybe for a one digit percent, they never been in Italy, they did not socialize as an Italian... they do not count as an Italian, just because their family name ends with a vowel. -.-'

      @@vincenzosplate it really is. For example, there is a concept of "lazy dish" in Ukrainian, Polish, maybe some other Slavic cuisines. Like lazy dumplings and lazy pierogis, lazy spring rolls. You know, to make dumplings, you need to shape them, and rolls, well, gotta roll them. "Lazy" technique just removes the manual labor part from the dish, while keeping the same ingredients in it. And these "lazy" dishes are still delicious in their own way. Following this logic, lazy lasagna would be just a Bolognese pasta with some cheeses on top, lol, but what's the point then in calling a pasta lazy lasagna? I think, there maybe is no such concept as lazy dish in Italian cuisine, right? Or correct me if I am wrong. In Ukrainian cuisine, there is a main dish, and a derivative lazy dish variant may be developed from it in some cases. But in Italian, I don't see the any hierarchy between lasagna and Bolognese pasta.

    The assumption he's making with this recipe is that if you just combine all of the same ingredients together in a big pile it will taste the same as cooking the dish correctly. Sometimes this approach can work, like with sushi with most types of rolls with uncooked ingredients if you just put a scoop or slice of each ingredient in a bowl and mix it up and eat it with a spoon it will taste basically the same. The problem in this case is the way that lasagna is layered and browned differently throughout the lasagna plays a huge role in what makes it lasagna. You're not going to get that using different kinds of pasta and cheeses all mixed up.

    • @vincenzosplate
      @vincenzosplate  Рік тому +5

(that was made from scratch each morning, the best part of the food there.) i still remember the recipe for the dough too, even after over 20 years... if i want to use 50 pounds of flour....

    Lasagna sheets don't need to be boiled because the sauce can already moisten the things as you bake them, and best of all; beginners can do that without having to rely on detailed and sophisticated recipes.

    Also, to answer your question of why people post these videos... I think it's simply because many people would rather take the fast lane to getting many views... it's harder to take time and present useful skills and tips because that audience takes time to cultivate and keep the attention of.. but, the followers of that kind of content will be smarter and better informed... so, be proud of your audience - as I'm sure you are. Bonjourno, Vincenzo first of all i want to thank you thanks to you and your channel i have managed to explore so many cooking recipes and how to properly do pastas and more ! I do have some italian blood but have grown up away from italian culture so for me this has been a really great way to learn more about myself, so grazie mille. I have one hell of a problem when ever i cook for my family of four it's easy i just use the family chef pan for the sauce and folding in the pasta but how do you do when you have more than six guests? What do our mamina's and nonna's back in italy use? i am sure they cook for big families and i doubt they use chef pans. i would love an insight !

      When cooking for a larger group, traditional Italian families often use large pots and pans or even multiple pots to accommodate the number of guests. It's all about adjusting the portion sizes and ensuring everyone gets a taste of the deliciousness! 😊🍽️

    I feel blessed. My Grandma started teaching me basic cooking when I was five years old.
    She cooked on a wood stove, and after I learned how to light it and distribute the heat, THEN I learned cooking.
    Gran only used cast iron, that's probably why I only use cast iron. Yes, it's heavy, but damn, it works so well.
    She also taught me a bit of basic baking, and how to make soap.
    She was my adopted Gran, but it didn't matter. I loved every second I had with her.
    I'm now 59 and have had my Red Seal for a few decades.
    My point is that good cooking isn't diificult if you learn the basics. Then you can freestyle.
    Jack is just an abomination. He appears to have no respect for food or its ingredients.
