This was an amazingly short and edited video of one of my favorite cities. I spent time growing up in Seattle and Portland and my family often went to Vancouver and Victoria for vacation. As an adult I’ve been back a few times for vacation and conferences. It is an utterly stunning city with great offerings at seemingly every turn.
I'm just seeing your comment now! I love Seattle and Portland too (our first ever UA-cam videos were vlogs of our trips there actually!). I agree Vancouver is beautiful :)
I've heard about Vancouver for years - from friends who cannot praise it enough! The city looks truly wonderful and the food...!!!! GREAT video once again, Eileen! :-)
Thanks, Thomas! I'm glad you've heard good things - yeah, it's a gorgeous city. Having the mountains so close is such a treat. Such a nice relaxed-feeling vibe. Oh, and clearly good food too! :)
Glorious Eileen! It's almost 2:00 a.m. here and I'm now more hungry than tired, so thank you LOL Seriously I'm usually up this late anyway :) OMG those views!! The reflection in the water @1:00 is stunning! Let's see..what might be making my mouth water. Well for one that waffle dish @1:50. And I bet I'd like that salad @4:40. Honey lavender ice cream sounds different and tempting! BTW I'm one of the first to comment for once, yay!! LOL Outstanding video once again guys!!
Hey Scott! Yay so glad to see your comment so early! Sorry to put you to sleep on an empty stomach but hopefully you'll look forward to breakfast even more now haha. Vancouver is SO gorgeous. Seeing it by drone is amazing. I bet you'd enjoy all those things by the way - all delicious! :)
Yes, 33 acres is one of my favourite spots for lunch! They don't have an extensive menu but what they do have is really good. Huge fan of the jam they serve. Other brunch spots I'd recommend checking out include Jam Cafe (originally from Victoria), Wildebeest, Cafe Medina (or Chambar - same menu but Cafe Medina doesn't accept reservations and often has 45 minute+ line ups whereas Chambar does), Tuc Craft Kitchen, Belgard Kitchen (doubles as a brewery for Postmark), Ask for Luigi (fantastic pasta spot located around the corner from Belgard) and catch 122! Everything I've listed here is within the Downtown Vancouver area. These are my personal favourites but there are other good brunch places around other parts of the city as well. For ice cream, also be sure to check out Earnest! They have a couple of locations around the city. I personally like them a wee bit better than Rain or Shine because of their flavour offerings but both places are fantastic.
Wow! Welcome back to Canada you two! The scenery is fantastic! But the hikes….Yikes! Love the apres bit the best! LOTS of great places to eat……Does the food call your names?! Kool places and happy faces are nice to see! I luved your Bula Beanie Boogies from Ferni……. You DO get around dontcha! Gotta say it….…'hoki poki hoki poki hoki poki'……Awright….Hoke Poke then…..But dang...…It is fun!
Thank you! :) Yeah, the natural beauty in and around Vancouver is stunning. Seeing those mountains is amazing. haha glad you liked my hat and that you like the 'hoké poké' dance too ;)
Nice one Eileen! You hit some great spots. I'd recommend any visitors to also check out a sushi restaurant, Vancouver has tons of them and they are usually cheap and great quality
Great video, food all looks really tasty. Went there for a week some years ago now and absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed walking around Stanley Park and hiking in Capilano. Some great neighborhoods there, especially Gastown. Particularly enjoyed visiting the bars/restaurants that brewed their own beer. Would love to go back some day: long way from UK though.
That is a long way from the UK! I'm glad to hear you had such a great time. Did you walk on the suspension bridge? That's something I've never done and still want to... Gastown is also one of my favourite areas to walk around. Such a lovely historic area (historic by Canadian standards anyway, not the UK!). Hope you get back for another visit someday :)
Yes, walked on the bridge. A really beautiful park there. Was living in the US at the time, so not as far to go. We were at UBC for a conference, but managed to see so much of the city while we were there.
Hi! I was wondering what you use to edit! I want to make videos similar to yours (not to post but for my friends and family at home while I am on student exchange). We spoke on another video about my student exchange to Taiwan. I have finally been told the town I will stay in! I will stay in Taitung! Thank you for being such a big help
Really should for warn tourists that this video was filmed in the middle of the summer, mid July thru mid August. In November, December, January and February Vancouver seems quite different. Tourist will not be cavorting on the beach in a bathing suit. And must be prepared for damp cold grey low clouds and rain and short hours of day light. Although Vancouver is getting less rain lately with global warming.
I guess so but I'm not sure. Other people have noticed the titles being translated as well so it's not just German. We've always translated the videos so something must've changed...
Have you been to Vancouver? 🇨🇦Tell me your favourite spot or where you'd like to go! 👇
Nope never been. I watched most of the 2010 Winter Olympics and I was so impressed by the scenery there
That's cool you watched the 2010 Olympics! That was an exciting time for sure for Vancouver and for Canada. Gotta love those winter sports! 🇨🇦😀
It's my hometown. Today is my 2nd anniversary of moving to the Netherlands.
Pretty awesome hometown to have...! Congratulations on your move anniversary! Hope you celebrate with some good Dutch eats 😉
Just to clarify I watched on TV not in person LOL
Yum!!! I’m for sure visiting some of these places next time we’re there!!!-Ash
Hey guys pleas go visit sub Saharan Africa! Kenia was an amazing experience!
Hey Ash! YAY definitely!! I'm sure you'd love them. Amazing hiking around there too! You need to pay Canada another visit! 😘
Lived in Richmond, BC for 4 years around 20 years ago. Love Vancouver.

Wow I love the brunch in Vancouver. I hope that one day I could travel to this lovely city.
I hope you can too! It's not difficult to get there from Taiwan :) I think you'd enjoy it!

Esther Gee Medina is awesome and a favorite place to meet friends.
One always gets a reservation for Cafe Medina.I stay at L"Hermitage next door and get them to do the reservation.
Love Nelson the Seagull! So happy to see it here!
It's definitely a place I can picture you loving too! ❤️

Hey Natasha! Oh wow, that's super exciting! Congratulations!! When do you leave for your exchange? We currently use Adobe Premiere for editing :)
Hi! I leave on the 19th of January because the Australian school year is different to the rest of the world :)
"Where to Eat in Vancouver if You're a Sourdough and Avocado Addict"
😂😂😂

Shush. You are letting out the secrets
I've been at 33 acres,excelente beer.
watching from Australia...popping down to the local shops in 5 to get some ice cream and its all your fault :P
haha sorry not sorry! ;) Whereabouts in Australia? I lived in Sydney and Melbourne a while back and miss it.
Macerated and Masterated sound just different enough to be a double take lol.
Go to their night markets
I love me a night market but haven't been to one in Vancouver before. Have you?
@@EileenAldis No because I live in California. But I have seen videos of night markets in Vancouver.
Nice - I'd love to visit one in Vancouver. Thanks for the suggestion! By the way, I love California 😎
@@EileenAldis Your welcome. I hope you do visit one and have fun. And California loves you too 😉
There are 2 night markets in Richmond. I don't know of anything in Vancouver.
wat a crock good looking people eating good looking food , waite till you get old geesh lol good vidio tho i miss van
Meanwhile, everyone who works here can only afford Mcdonalds....
Hey Julian, Vancouver is definitely not an inexpensive place to live! 💸
Everyone who lives here spends hours in their car or on transit. The traffic is terrible! Waste of time.
ur from raincouver lol? WEST COAST BEST COAST
haha I'm from Ontario but I love Vancouver! ;)
Lol why is the title in Deutsch?
I'm guessing Google Translate must automatically do it if you're watching in Germany? 🤷♀️
@@EileenAldis lol, do they really do that now?
I guess so but I'm not sure. Other people have noticed the titles being translated as well so it's not just German. We've always translated the videos so something must've changed...
@@EileenAldis interesting :)
What?you two left taiwan? Oh!noooooooooo.
😭
