Hmm, just looking at Kadence home page and it's all text and a few colours. I just ran a PSI test on one of their landing pages (more comparable to Bricks or Breakdance home pages in terms of images, icons, sliders, layouts) and got........... 73% mobile 91% desktop Looking at the code there's a lot of uneccessary div structure for each element. It would be great to see two like for like sites, on the same server resources, same elements to get a more mirrored comparison. No pressure though, I realise it would take you a long time to build that with Gutenberg 😂😂😂 (kiddinnnng!)
Yes @jason-m ! -we defo need to do a full like-for-like comparison with exactly the same design built using the diff page builders on the same server set - I think that would be an epic project! Do you want to get involved with your page builder of choice? (I'm taking Gutenberg of course! 😆)
@@wpjakson I wish I had the time, but tbh, I did already do this on my own server earlier this year, although for Gutenberg I used Cwicly, and Bricks for the other. I got very close scores. I used 5 sections on each page, a header with menu and standard footer layout, around 6 or 7 optimised webp images, icon boxes, accordion, hero slider, testimonials. All very easy to build in either platform. Both are top of their game in PB world so it was a negligible difference in results. Personally (recent shenanigans aside) I think Cwicly is years ahead of everything in the WP world right now, but I’m a Bricks user for now til I see what interface and strategic changes the Cwicly team deliver in the coming months.
Yes, I love Cwicly @jason-m ! Was the only real option for full site Block Theme builds with dynamic data a couple of years ago. Haven't used in a while but may get back to it now its had a rebirth!
