He always loved to cook, so my sister wanted him to cook dinner, he told my sister what all he would need. She bought it, he cooked it and we all loved and savored every bite. We lost him 2 years later, but we all always talk about the last Easter with dad.

The one who found the most eggs won a prize. I rushed to find as many eggs as I could and won $5. Back then I thought I was rich because $5 went a long way at the cookie lady’s house. I decided to be greedy, loving all the pretty eggs and ate a lot of them. Let’s just say I haven’t eating a boiled egg in 35/45 years

My Easters were never religious. My memories are of watching all the lil’ kids dress up and take umpteen million pics, all while proudly showing off their new hairdos and outfits. Yes, they were holiday Christians😂🤣. Some kids would be unnecessarily teased or harassed for coming out on Easter Sunday looking plain and ordinary 🙄. Why be so cruel? Thank God my enlightened parents never indulged in the “Easter spectacles,” and I’m much better off emotionally and mentally for it.
