I just did up a little tree in our foyer that you did last year with the little village. We absolutely love how it turned out. Thank you for such wonderful inspiration. If I were your neighbor - I would be very blessed - and I would be over every day asking you "whacha makin' today Christopher". Love, Love, Love the planters. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts of talent with us. xo
Oh! Look at what has been done to the support posts of the porch, and the frames of the windows. I love how it seamlessly blends in with the brick of your new "old" home. And the architectural design on how the lantern form ties into those posts and the chair backs, the flooring! I see you Christopher.
Thanks for the up close and wonderful instructions. I feel like I could copy this! Exquisite as always! You are so gifted showing us such beautiful arraignments.
Beautiful, have never made outdoor Christmas decorations other than lights on my little tree, which by the way, keep the lights on year around. It looks beautiful, thank you Chris. I’m devoted to your channel..
Love this so much!. I need to think outside the box. Cutting preformed arrangements apart to use where i wish & mixing with real pine makes all the difference. The cotton is unique too. I'm doing this!
Hi Christopher, again, Beautiful! I be never been big into hanging baskets, due to my ABILITY to kill CACTUSES, 🤦 I've stayed away from Beautiful hanging baskets to spare them torture! However, you have given me a way to create using hanging baskets, and I am Stoked to give this a whirl! I feel confident I can't destroy this😂 Have a blessed one my friend!
That looks amazing Christopher :) You are so lucky to be able to access those amazing pines- not so lucky here in Qld Australia too hot but can always use picks :)
Quick tip... for years I've gone to Home Depot or any place where live Christmas trees and sold and ask for clippings (FREE) which I haul home and make various types of out door and in door decorations.
Love it Chris...Was wondering what you do to keep clippings fresh for arrangements? Someone said soak the in glycerin and water mix for 24 hours...Have lots of pines to get fresh branches from...thanks Chris
Thanks Deb! Since these arrangements are outdoors in the freezing temps, the cold preserves them and keeps them green for a long time. If I have fresh greenery indoors, I always have them in water (unless it is right before Christmas & the greenery is being used in garlands or other arrangements that can't be watered easily). Watered or not (indoors), keeping the greenery away from heat sources will help them last the longest. I'm not sure about the soaking suggestion you heard of - it sounds interesting, wonder if it works?! :) -Christopher
@@ChristopherHiedeman Thank Chris...I don't know if the glycerin/water soak works..But I read about it on a site called Rockyhedge Farm .how to preserve fresh greenery...They have a little bit of everything on their site
Love it. Looks amazing!!! Question Christopher: What brand of garden gloves are you wearing? I need to get me a pair for my holiday projects this year...
Thanks! I'm not sure the brand of the gloves - they come in a pack of 4 at Home Depot. They are very inexpensive and are great gardening/work gloves :) -Christopher
@@ChristopherHiedeman Thanks for the information. Will be picking some up before I start my decorating in a couple of weeks. Keep the videos coming. You're very talented and an inspiration to all of your fans! I'm hooked.
Hi Christopher can you give me some ideas as what to do with a 20 centimeters fish bowl and I have a larger one shape of an apple with just a side hole love your decorations thank you .
Hi Antoinette, You could make a small winter scene in the fish bowl - a few mini winter trees, some fake snow, & figurines (deer, Santa, mini house, etc.). For the apple shaped dish with a side hole, if it is see-through you could fill it with ornaments. If it is not, you could make a small floral arrangement in it - you could even include some artificial apples in the arrangement and add pine with some glitter floral :) -Christopher
Hi Cradleygirl, the real greenery (spruce, cedar, white pine, & juniper branches) last most of the winter as long as the temps outside (mostly) stay below freezing :) - Christopher
Thanks again! Week ago I sent information about your UA-cam channel everywhere I could! Including to my Russian friends in Russia. I see your subscribers are increased in couple thousand. Maybe there is a little help from me🤗. All of us who likes your videos should help you increase quantity of your subscribers- it will be OUR CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO YOU! 🥰🥂🍾
Hi Wayne, I've always used soil instead of foam for my outdoor arrangements not only because it is already in the containers, but because it has weight to it so the arrangements won't blow over as easily as if they had the lighter foam holding the stems. Especially for winter arrangements, once the soil freezes it holds the stems in place better too so the wind can't take any of the stems out of the container. After the season it is pretty easy to simply pull the stems out of the soil - if the planter is still frozen I just bring it inside and let it thaw. Then the container is ready for planting real flowers in the spring/summer :) - Christopher
@@ChristopherHiedeman sorry, I forgot about the outdoor factors like wind, rain, I have a 12 inch that I’m gonna experiment with, using your method, but with summer flowers and different types of ferns, as live foliage, can’t wait to get started !!! Thanks for your caring about me, and thanks for the great video..happy Spring!!!!

Awesome! Where did you find the beautiful artificial arrangement l? And are the Christmas greens from a florist shop? Thanks!
Hi mrob75, I purchased the artificial floral at Walmart & the real greenery at Home Depot :)

That is amazing!! How do they stay in the basket in case of wind? Do you have to glue them? Thank you.
Thanks! They are stuck in the potting soil - it is enough to hold them 🙂

How long do the natural branches last
As long as the temps are below freezing, they should last until close to spring 🙂🎄

Why not use floral foam for the fake stuff??? and then put live greenery in plant tubes, so they can be removed and refilled easily.

I'd advise not to use any smaller type of fake berries that have a foam interior because birds might ingest them.
