Afghan Eggspress

So First Heritage chase for 2024 and it's NSU52 haven't chased it since 2019 and so well Easter was worth a chase of the Diesel from Port Augusta to Quorn and return. Using techniques I've used at Steamranger but the different being that I'm a volunteer at Pichi Richi plus done some work behind the scenes so understand what I can and can't do around the track. But highlights are my gopro shots and few new locations I've not used before but will again when the NM is back into traffic again

What a brilliant video, well done. I am a fan of the NSU's. They are loud and the traction motors have a definite whine. Much prefer the diesel sound to simmering tea kettle. Good to see a video with no snapping camera sounds in the backgound. Also just train noise with no overbearing music like some videos recently. Very good. Thanks.

Thanks I Never put music over footage unless I have to but I’m a steam fan but sometimes love the diesels considering I drive a miniature and have a electric of my own yea each to there own though

Pichi Richi is holding a RAILFEST event on the 27th and 28th of July to celebrate the railways 50th year since operations started lots are being planned and even something special and unique is being done for one of the day keep an eye out on the Railways Socials hopefully be filming one of the days and helping the next
