I enjoyed this episode on crewel embroidery as my mother created many beautiful pieces with this stitch - which I discovered that I do not like to do! I have also discovered that I do not like to do needlepoint, so I was thrilled to contribute a drop of "summer love" in your shop's bucket the other day when I picked up the commissioned Christmas flamingo piece you not only beautifully stitched for me but also framed. It is now hanging on my wall for my constant enjoyment (after carrying the kits around in my "hope to do chest" for some 20 years....) and with much appreciation for you and your shop.
Great memories. I spent many years doing crewel embroidery. Loved the dimension and shading you could achieve with the wool threads, especially when you were doing a satin stitch. But, oh those French knots...still don't like them. Thank you for an enjoyable episode!
I remember my mom doing crewel work embroidery 😊 Brings back memories 🙋♀️🇨🇦

Life is a journey of discovery. Thanks for being part of my journey.
