Honestly I feel like at this point we just need to get the whole cosy squad together for a retreat out in the woods somewhere so we can all just vibe together……
My problem with hobbies is never “finishing” one. I always pick up multiple at a time. But I guess that goes along with the affirmation you ended with about not having perfection in a hobby ❤
So many craft/art supplies…so much money/time. #ADD #ADHD #Anxiety #OCD 😅😢 #perfectionist PS writing this to get over a panic attack while watching this video and her voice is helping I’m def gonna have to rewatch
For pottery I recommend looking into your local community college for classes. Most of the time paying tuition for one pottery class at community college is cheaper than doing workshops. Plus you get a whole semester of classes, they’ll teach you, and provide the supplies!
I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video.
OMG! I feel so called out, lol! I try to turn every hobby I take up into a money-making thing. And that just removes the fun. I've also learned through my gaming journey that I don't know how to enjoy something I'm not "good" at. I really have to work on that!
Creating nail sets, like buying packs of plain fake nails and painting/decorating them to however you want! I've seen a lot of people (not just professional nail techs) do this on insta and it always seemed fun! Especially if you're just doing it for yourself, it's stress free and chill
I suffer from anxiety and OCD, and to me, your videos are really inspiring. Im now super into cozy gaming (used to be a "tryhard" gamer playing my rankeds and all that) and lifestyle. Since I found your videos I've been inspired to make small changes and I'm actually feeling really good. I didn't expect the cozy vibe to be so good for me. I was like "sure like an anxiety and stress machine like myself could get into cozy living and relaxing" and it turns out it was actually just what I needed. Im so happy, please keep inspiring us!! all my love to you
i have anxiety as well and i feel the same way! i wasn’t much of a gamer but i loved cozy hobbies, all things art, painting, reading, and school! (i’m a senior in college now). but when i got into gaming it felt like all of my friends wanted me to play all of these popular, fast paced, fps or overly complicated (in my opinion) games. then i got the switch and it seems like everything changed lmaoo. when i played the new animal crossing and found cozy k i definitely found out where i belonged !!
My hobbies are SAVING me during my PhD. I love crocheting and cross stitch (I’m trying to learn knitting… it’s not going well) and it’s so satisfying to end up with something I made with my own two hands. I love hobbies that I can do sitting/ laying down, because they help me rest with my chronic fatigue. Thanks for a great video!
I really resonated with this comment because hobbies (crocheting specifically) truly saved me during my PhD too! Sending you lots of encouragement for your PhD journey! ☺️
Thanks! As an perfectionist with anxienty etc. i struggled so hart with all my Hobbies that i stopped doing them…besides reading and a Little Gaming. So thaaaank you a lot for you Endung words ❤
Soap making is also fun, I just do the easy melt and pour soap but you can get into the extensive actually making your own soap too. Also to add to reading, going to book clubs be it virtual or in person. I'm in a virtual one right now and it's some of my favorite times to be with like minded people talking about the book we're reading and all the tangents we get on.
Thanks, girl! Great video! Also, a commonplace journal is so much fun. You can write, draw, paint, vision board, stickers......anything goes and it's all in 1 book....just make sure that you have a thicker paper that will allow you to paint on it but other than that....it's fun and allows you to just be FREE MINDED. ❤
So true! I’ve never vibed so much with a channel that shares not just ideas and inspiration but the underlying mentality of just cozy and what it can look like for you.
Crochet is also a great hobby! I usually sit down with some coffee or tea, and watch anime while working on my projects. It may seem intimidating but its really fun once you get the hang of it (just don't do what I did and assume you know how to count cuz you will get confused, grab that stitch counter!) Also i think a good solution to the sticker painting is to use parchment paper or laminated paper, that way u can peel them off n try again
Smashbooking is very much like the type of scrapbooking you've described. You take what moves you and you smash it into a book. It's fun, it's freeing, and it's easy.
Okay so, i started making my fist candle because of this video, and now i haven't been able to stop making candles for the past week lol. Its so easy once you have the things you need, and so fun and cozy! Thank you
Some other ones that I adore are going out for walks (you can put on some music or a podcast if there's a lot of noise) and origami. With origami, you really just need square paper (or regular paper that you cut into a square with scissors) and a UA-cam tutorial of what you want to make. It may take a while, but now I have a few models memorized that I really enjoy. Again, you can pair this with some cozy music in the background.
5:56 We had to make felt socks and beanies as homework when we were in like 3rd or 4th grade, and it stressed me out so much 😂 I don’t remember much except being incredibly stressed lmao. I used to make and sell polymer clay jewelry with my then best friend as a teenager, though, that was really fun. We did it for years and they sold really well. That was like 14-15 years ago though
This year I began digital planning/journaling and the thing I love most about it is that I can combine LOTS of hobbies together: it’s my daily planner, journal, sketchbook, sticker book, scrapbook, photo album…(you name it) all in one place! On any page I can add/combine any of these things easily and the pages are endless! Highly recommend 😊
THANK YOU for the perfectionist disclaimer!! 😂✨ Ima still try it, but I have a feeling it’ll take me 20times longer than the average person to do sticker by number projects BUT ima try it. 😂 thank you for all the hobby recs! So cozy!!
if you want to make your own candles, but don't want to do it from scratch, the brand Siblings is really amazing! they sell candle making kits that are sustainable (soy wax, compostable packaging) and super easy to make! they sell vessels online too, but i like to thrift fancy little tea cups or reuse little jars to make mine in
Knitting, crochet, needle felting, sewing and crafts are very enjoyable for me. If you are going to try needle felting, please look into needle felting painting also. You can create beautiful pictures with this type of needling felting. Love your video.
I love your videos so much!! I love to try hobbies with my 6 year old. He’s so crafty and usually reserves his weekend mornings to craft project. Now, we are into keychain making and drawing on canvas pencil cases (he is planning to give them out as Eid gifts) We also enjoyed the DIY tie a knot quilt making! So so cozy and mindless. Try it out.
I’ve tried my hand at most of these, I collect hobbies like a dragon collects gold. My next big goal is pottery, but nowhere in my area has a studio and I’ve tried the air dry clays before. I’ve been trying to get my dad to help me build a kiln so I can have my own studio! I also really recommend whittling/woodwork, stained glass (though it is pretty tough to get the hang of) and something rooted in nature (foraging, birdwatching, gardening.) They’re always my favorites
i just started using clay because i needed candle holders for my chime size candles. i started there, and painted them, and now i am making little holders for some of my favorite crystals. i am far from crafty but it's very easy. love ur ideas!
Pinterest has great lessons on a lot of crafts and ideas. I have one for Water paints, Acrylic, felting, and cross stich. My other fave hobbies are adult coloring books ,diamond painting, reading , photo journaling(I use a mini kodak printer that pairs with my phone), and gaming. Cross Stitch is an easy one to pick up and is relaxing. You follow a pattern and you can pick it up and put it down as you need.
Also listening to audiobooks while you knit or crochet is very cozy. I'm listening to Sarah J Maas ACOTAR right now. Hand sewing cathedral window quilt squares is easy and relaxing. It self quilts so you just sew all the finished blocks together and you'll have a completed quilt. Soulcollage is a fun way to repurpose old magazines and it's easy to do.
Some more hobbies to add: Mycology aka *mushroom hunting* ! I have a book that talks about different kinds of mushrooms and I enjoy hiking and seeing what I can find. I never take/touch the mushrooms, I usually just snap a few photos and continue on my way. I also enjoy *collecting used books* . I live in Japan so I can hunt for used manga, sometimes as cheap as $1. Lastly, *flat lay photography* . I take random bits from around my house - scraps of fabric, books, candles, yarn, etc. and try to arrange them in a pleasing way!
Great timing! I wanted to “challenge” myself to try something new this spring and literally half of this I have never thought about to pursue as a hobby ☺️ cannot wait for the next cozy hobby vlog! Those are soooo nice and I look forward to them so much :))
I remember I went crazy buying lots of supplies for candle making, different aromas, molds, soy wax, etc. I got sooo excited but I never made a candle 😂
This is dark but I burst out laughing at the “You’re 12 years old and nothing bad has ever happened to you” cause the jig was already up for me at that age😅
Such a fun video, thank you so much! I tend to go for crafty hobbies like crocheting, baking, and scrapbooking, and there were a lot of new hobbies in this list that I was intrigued by. I recently started collecting art prints of my favourite video games/nostalgic tv shows made by small artists and it’s brought me so much joy! Not only does it support the artist but it’s so fun to see some of my favourite franchises and series stylized in different ways!
Hi Kennedy, watching your video for the first time, and really fell in love with it, You know,I love to do painting, ink drawings, coloring but these days ,as you said,I am enjoying making clay art, it's really unique and easy to create things by my own, I have made ( clay elephant, clay pea, clay cakes, hearts, bear, bunnies, flowers) 😊and these days I am also making scrapbooks, because I love creating new things, Thanks for your ideas,💝
i collect magnets!! I love it because they are useful and can be souvenirs or they can just be pretty and cute. i have magnets from mueseums, amusement parks and tourist spots, states I have been to, and then I just have fun or pretty ones that fit my aesthetic or interests at the time. Its like a scrap book for my fridge (or anything magnetic)
I love this! I'm someone who loves trying out new things, and this is so helpful to start connecting with the inner child and just be curious of trying new things.
I’m definitely a Cozy fan!!! I watched just about all your videos, subscribed and follow on Instagram and tictok. I love the vibe they all have. You have sparked my interest to get back into gaming. I had Animal Crossing as my first Switch game but life got in the way and I stopped playing. With the other games you advertised they are definitely on my “Must Get” list. Thank you for this Chill environment to come to. Finally someone that is on the same page as me😊 Thank you
I loved this! I love cozy hobbies! I got into making pins and key chains with shrink wrap! Its so easy and cheap. I collar them with colored penciles and Posca pens.
Rcently I tried to put together some legos, it was so calming and very satisfying. A set I recommend is the floral series they came up with pretty recently, but there is so many kits to check out! (the one I put together was the orchid set)
I just find so much of me in you and it’s so empowering to see you to through this cozy journey while im doing it too. Makes me feel like i know you and we are Friends somehow. Im on journaling, acrylic painting, Building mini sets, cozy Gaming on my beloved Switch and Currently the Obsession with Reading! Also want to Look into gem paintings! As someone who Did Not really have hobbies growing up, i feel like i Cant have enough now! Love your content soooo much! I feel like i can feel how you get More into cozy stuff and yourself and your happiness with every Video! Sorry if This is all over the Place but im Sending love from germany!!!
Cozy vibes all the way with this list! I’m a bit of a stress baker when I’m making meals sometimes but I adore cooking new meals and just trying to replicate foods at home. I must have the homemaker hobby bone cause I’m all about trying to learn how to do canning and preserving. But I love so many of the other cozy hobbies you shared in this video because as a kid I was so crafty and just enjoyed the process and making and creating. So rewarding and peaceful.
Crochet, knitting, cross-stitching, puzzles, and card making are all my cozy hobbies. Also, diamond painting. FInding room for all of it is my problem. Lost my craft room when we moved 10 hours away from home from a 3 bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment. Just sent out my last handmade Christmas card today. Still have lots of other cards but there won't be any more Christmas cards. Will have to buy them now. :(
I like how many of the hobbies you've suggested in this and your other videos, are things my crafty eldest child naturally loves doing. She made the exact type of "anything goes" scrapbook you described, including making the book itself out of scrap paper. She's 7 so basically everything she makes is... Not very aesthetic usually, but she's 7! That's normal! I'm a type A perfectionist INTJ enneagram 1 you get the idea, and i need to ~relax~ so watching her just... craft whatever is a good lesson. It's funny because sometimes she'll get super bent out of shape if something doesn't match her *vision* but other times she's going with the flow and just creating for fun. That's what we all need to aim for, even 7 year olds sometimes.
I feel very inspired watching this video. I decided to get come felt kits. I also have started on cross stitching which is very gratifying. Not sure how involved it is but also resin earring/crafts are of interest!
So it is definitely pricey but the best thing I've gotten to make candle making more cozy is a big wax melter with a pour spout... whenever I want to just vibe and make candles I can just plug it in and and the scents directly into the candle :)
even if i don't end up picking up on the things you mention in these kinds of videos, i genuinely feel inspired and comforted by them, like a constant reminder that i can find ways to incorporate the "cosy" feeling into my day-to-day life. have you ever tried punch-needling? i'm considering picking that up as my cosy-hobby once i move countries in a couple of months. it seems like it would be right up your alley, too - for me, i think i'll like it because it's like drawing, only fuzzy. lol!
Thank you Kennedy! I really needed this I have been wanting to paint and I would see many artists on UA-cam creating beautiful paintings with their own style. I kind of felt pressured because I wanted to find my style but everytime I try to be creative and come up with something on my own, my mind automatically gets blocked and I can’t think of anything. Because of this I felt discouraged to start painting but I will definitely try to do paint by numbers. 😊
You can find some really cute felting books at the library. It was popular at one of my schools so we ordered some little kawaii felting books. Students and parents enjoyed it.
Just wanted to pop in and say I love your videos, they are so soothing and inspiring and making me want to take up crochet now haha. Thanks for all your beautiful videos! ❤
Honestly I feel like at this point we just need to get the whole cosy squad together for a retreat out in the woods somewhere so we can all just vibe together……

YES! I would go to this. ❤
Count me in!
Yes!!
Same!

Your “friendly reminder” at the end is so incredibly wise - thank you for your inspiring words and content!

Even your voice is so cozy 😭 you're becoming one of my favourite youtubers
I make candles, my hack is that I use wax from old candles, so it makes the hobby cheaper and it's less waste.
Scrapbooking or making collages! I think that’s a good idea :]
That's what we all need to aim for, even 7 year olds sometimes.
that is so sweeet! she sounds like the coolest 7 year old ever🥹
I do cross stitch, art, reading, felting, sewing plushies and sometimes clay ☺️
Was feeling so depressed this morning, so greatful for this video!
I've always looking for this kind of videos . Im so glad that i found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your hobbies 💕
Please, make more like these for the summer. I’ve been looking for new hobbies!!
can do!!
Yayyy we love a good cozy hobby time! I already have too many but this makes me wanna add more 😅
I feel very inspired watching this video. I decided to get come felt kits. I also have started on cross stitching which is very gratifying. Not sure how involved it is but also resin earring/crafts are of interest!
So it is definitely pricey but the best thing I've gotten to make candle making more cozy is a big wax melter with a pour spout... whenever I want to just vibe and make candles I can just plug it in and and the scents directly into the candle :)
even if i don't end up picking up on the things you mention in these kinds of videos, i genuinely feel inspired and comforted by them, like a constant reminder that i can find ways to incorporate the "cosy" feeling into my day-to-day life. have you ever tried punch-needling? i'm considering picking that up as my cosy-hobby once i move countries in a couple of months. it seems like it would be right up your alley, too - for me, i think i'll like it because it's like drawing, only fuzzy. lol!
i haven’t but super interested in it!!
I love all these hobbies… another one i’ve been into lately is Legos. Specifically all the floral sets
I was just thinking that I should pick up a new hobby! This video came at the perfect time! 🥰👏🏼 thank you! 🌷
The candles made me think of soap making!
You can find some really cute felting books at the library. It was popular at one of my schools so we ordered some little kawaii felting books. Students and parents enjoyed it.
She is my idol after this vid I’ve been scrapbooking for sooooo long
I loved this vid !! I do most of these hobbies but one that I really love and don’t see here is Diamond painting it’s definitely cozy and calming 🌹

My cozy hobby is sketching my vacations I take photos and write down details and then get to revisit my vacations drawing them
Using alcohol markers is also in the same catagory as painting. And it is even easier for me.
