isn't it interesting how people walk by him and they just think he's some skater guy but they have no idea they are walking by one of the best street skateboarders ever. so just imagine how many times we pass by somebody who looks like an average guy but is actually great at what they do....
Ron Thunders yes! I wholeheartedly agree, their style, their clothes, tattoo style, personality, everything is something you just love and want to emulate
I never thought otherwise of him, but I was really surprised how cool of a dude he is. He's got some crazy positive energy. You dont see that too often from seasoned pros.
Eric is one of those dudes who turns into your favorite pro after you meet him in person. Everytime we have crossed paths he has been nothing but nice and humble. Erik you are the best 👍
Really nice guy, met him when I was a lil grom back in the day in Huntington Beach seemed like he partied waaaaayyyy to much I thought he would not last beyond a few years alive. So glad he got healthy and saved his own life
Wow this made me love Ellington so much more. Seems like an insightful and humble guy. My first Pro board was Ellington skull and crossbones with a hat graphic for Baker long before deathwish started
Always loved Ellington, so stoked to see him still in the business, still riding, still such a down to earth and chill guy. Ellington is foundational to todays skateboarding culture and we're all better for it.
it's dope how a lot of pros come full circle. they start off just humble skaters, peak at being douchy don't touch me or be in my spot pros, and eventually come back down to be humble og's
Yoooo hahaha so awesome to see dudeman from South Carolina of all places mention Baker demo at Owen's Field Park... Shit I think I was like 11 or 12 myself when I was there. Shout out to the Columbia /West Columbia homies!
At the end, I bet hes talking about the dimond center 3 stair rail in anchorage ak..i live in anchorage n seen the old footy of him b4 he moved californy way.
Ellington and all the Piss Drunx were my heroes in high school. My friends and I always wanted to be them and dress like them. It was the early 2000s but we looked like we were straight out the 80s
I’ve been seeing many successful people talk about how and why they’ve quit drinking and how it’s had such a positive impact. It’s crazy to realize how alcohol is a thorn in many people’s side. You kinda just grow up drinking and it takes some time to understand that it’s keeping you from achieving the things you really would like to. Myself included. *end of diary entry lmao
When I was a kid I met Erik at a demo here in Texas, and he didn’t seem like all that nice of a guy. This video completely changed my opinion of him. Just goes to show you that you never know what someone might be going through. This video makes me happy as fuck. Gunna go watch some Baker footage now... 🤙🤙🤙
Hahah, I've recently been undoing all my bad habits of drinking too much and over spending on things I can just make at home for cheap and it's been awesome! Recently got a early morning job which allows my body to slowly recover physically and get back to my old self when I used to skate almost everyday back during 2014 before Senior year and having a gf and all that extra jazz. I know if I really keep at it I'll be able to control the drinking to where I'll all but even want to think of it bc of it potentially ruining my drive for skateboarding for good. A drink every now and then is fine ya know, you do you! But I mainly did it bc I worked a job where my boss actively hated me and wanted me fired and he did. I just needed to cope with something and unfortunately it was booze... Now things are calm for once in my life and it's really such a comfortable feeling!
Dude Erik is so nice, any person I know would’ve been like “Why don’t the police arrest these people” That’s rare man, human love and respect is still with some of us, SOME of us.
at 9:19 my boy Erick completely and utterly flexes on a young child and father by hitting em with the ol’ “hahaha. howd-ya like that?” which yes, it absolutely destroys their day and Erick continues to then skkkkrt off on em. sheesh, talk about a savage, am I right or am I right? dam. he got off the drugs, turned his life around and now enjoys reading and flexing on young children and their young parents. good job E-boi. R.I.P. to that young child and father, cause they just got R.I.P.’d fam. services will be held at 2-8pm February 27th. enjoy the rest of your days ladies and gentlemen you never know when it’ll be your turn to get hit with a skkkkkrrtttttt. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
ahaha his inner dad came out when that guy took his picture
humble, cool as fuck, and kind to fans. Major props to this dude!
lucky
John Dunbar when was that?
isn't it interesting how people walk by him and they just think he's some skater guy but they have no idea they are walking by one of the best street skateboarders ever. so just imagine how many times we pass by somebody who looks like an average guy but is actually great at what they do....
this is the most outwardly looking comment I've ever seen on a skate related video
great applied observation!
Nah he just high
its Jenkem, were all high...
Michael Hofmann What? Lol he's sober now
I like a guy that says “I’ll see ya around” or “see you later” when they know they’ll probably never meet them again.
You can tell he has kids when he kept trying to grab the photographer
That Palace spot looked way more for trendy rich scene kids than a skateshop.
it's really what it is mostly these days
That's what Palace and Supreme are now.
Uhhh Doiii😂
That's what it is, it's the new supreme
such a good dude.
Raoul Duke fr the way he stopped and asked if that lady was okay
baker guys are just ... the coolest looking characters in skateboarding.
Ron Thunders yes! I wholeheartedly agree, their style, their clothes, tattoo style, personality, everything is something you just love and want to emulate
Cringe..lol..do ya skate? Pose?
@@martinjanota5857 youre cringe

I never thought otherwise of him, but I was really surprised how cool of a dude he is. He's got some crazy positive energy. You dont see that too often from seasoned pros.

I found it cool as shit that he checked on that girl you don't know whats she's going through. mad respect to Ellington for that.
such a humble cool dude, that's what I imagine legendary people are
Ellington is my favorite for understanding that woman's pain. Real.
Did Ellington just buy a Chinese sweatshop shirt for $30
Price increase of only 3000%
He looks much healthier these days
he almost went to prison for life I think thats plenty of motivation for him.
for what?
he beat someone up at a bar he has a video on youtube look it up
Giles much livelier and happy too
He's just matured. Gotten older.
Dude is an uppercase G
This is one of the best things ever. More of this style video please
Bruh Erik is so caring man, just the way he's looking out for everyone in this video is so heart warming. Probably comes from being a dad now
such a genuine, humble individual. super sick to see him, healthy and hyped on life.
Really nice guy, met him when I was a lil grom back in the day in Huntington Beach seemed like he partied waaaaayyyy to much I thought he would not last beyond a few years alive. So glad he got healthy and saved his own life
Seems really down to earth and chill, wouldn't have expected that...I don't know why.
he used to be an animal and had a temper sometimes from what I heard back in his drugged out days, he's not like that anymore obviously tho
Wonder Bread probably cause he's a father now
Met him at Vancouver slam city jam in 99, super chill down to earth, Muska too
omg i rocked the ellington 2s in middleschool about 15 years ago, the two-tone design is still sick imo.
Always loved Ellington, after watching this, I love him more! Good old boy.
someday I'm gonna be this dude! hopefully this year.
Posted one day ago... A living legend! It always makes me happy to hear of him.
Hands down still the most down to earth humble dude
Wow this made me love Ellington so much more. Seems like an insightful and humble guy. My first Pro board was Ellington skull and crossbones with a hat graphic for Baker long before deathwish started

Always loved Ellington, so stoked to see him still in the business, still riding, still such a down to earth and chill guy. Ellington is foundational to todays skateboarding culture and we're all better for it.

Congratulations on your Soberity, Erik! I knew the struggle well.
That was so cool
Thanks for the upload. Ellington for life
That leaves me $8 dollars to go buy Clorox! Haha rad
It’s good to see one of my childhood heroes still alive and healthy. Baker 3, ill never forget.

Chill caring dude and still throwing down some good moves, what a memba!
it's dope how a lot of pros come full circle. they start off just humble skaters, peak at being douchy don't touch me or be in my spot pros, and eventually come back down to be humble og's

Erik has really grown and matured into an amazing and well-spoken dude. Very neat guy.
One of my favorite skaters
This is a 2.M Chanel- I’m embarrassed to have just found it. Subbed for eternity.
So fucking rad, looked up to ellington and reynolds as a teen. This is skateboarding was a massive influence on my earlier years in skating.
Ellington is like the big lebowski of skating
Angus Rule We’ll, that’s just like, your opinion man..
lol, perfect response.
It’s funny you say that, loads of these comments refer to him as dude lol

At the end, I bet hes talking about the dimond center 3 stair rail in anchorage ak..i live in anchorage n seen the old footy of him b4 he moved californy way.
just filled with good vibes
It's so nice to see the Baker guys sober. I grew up in an alcoholic home. People who drink like they did are really hard to deal with.
EE ... What a good dude. Wish I could get a pair of his emericas the grey with the red toe. Sick shoe
Man, I remember when he was on Zero back in the day, like the late 90s! Also wasn't Erik Ellington on Deathwish as well?
Ellington and all the Piss Drunx were my heroes in high school. My friends and I always wanted to be them and dress like them. It was the early 2000s but we looked like we were straight out the 80s
