The fact the cops already know him and kick him out but say he's always been respectful really shows what kind of dude Mark is. I personally love seeing this kind of legitimate positive energy in skating. So glad I got back into it and glad to see how insane Mark is today
He mentioned Hemingway and Kerouac as an inspiration for skateboarding.. I can totally respect that.. I love Jack Kerouac and have all of his books.. it’s nice to see that reflected in skating.. that’s really inspiring
Met Mark once at Tribeca Park, we actually held a pretty long conversation about adidas and his college experience, it was cool to see this, keep it up Jenkem!
The cops are even like, "Yeah man we know you are gonna grab this trick just make it quick like usual. Thanks for not giving us a hard time since we don't even want to work. See you next time."
@Switch Dolphin yeah cause you can just turn out if it easily, if you have board control and can pop out of a bs 5-0 but frontside you can keep speed while doing a better looking trick 🙂
I knew him only through his skating. This video showed me little bit of his personality and I have to say - now I appreciate him a bit more! :) Great video!

I’m glad to see skaters are starting to take notes from the fitness industry on nutrition for skating. I’d recommend carbs beforehand too for quick energy but it’s better than nothing
It’s crazy that at 8:27 my sister was there at Fordham for a dance intensive, which is right next to the American Ballet theatre across the street in the clip. I skated down that sidewalk and my goodness the amount of space there is and lack of security around that plaza
@@STStudios98 nice didn't know that. Had a friend in high school with that last name and everyone pronounced "Nu-jin", students and faculty, he gave up on correcting everyone haha
Alex Rassi Out of every skater he’s exactly as mature as you’d expect. Not too many pros choose to go to college instead of touring and getting trashed every night.
I’ve always loved watching dudes who can just flow through a park or a plaza in one long and consistent line. Ever see footage of Nyjah just flowing through his skate park? It’s fucken amazing.
The description of the interaction with the cockroach was a clear reference to Lispector's "The passion according to G.H" (in both cases there is a metaphorical engagement with the world as in the sense that to really see the cockroach is to make room, existentially, for it to exist: thus the cockroach is not inside the house, but the onlooker is outside him/herself to make space for it to come forth)
Yeah I put new insoles in immediately. Work boot insoles are very supportive for the heel and fit straight into your shoes without cutting and are a lot cheaper than footprints. The ZX vlc is an awesome shoe though
