Maybe consider putting a rear facing camera on your truck so while your vacuuming up the leaves, TQ can see what your doing and move the truck accordingly.
I can't belong to a HOA because I'm "That Neighbor".🤣 Just kidding but I am not going to have anyone else tell me what I can or can't do with my property. We voted at 7:30 AM and just walked in, voted, and left. No line.
I went around 1:30 in only two people in front of me voted and out the door all within 10 minutes and just so happened to be a elementary school me and my sister attended brought back some bad memories and good ones every time.
Just had another thought, how about some flashing LED's on the top outside corners of the box or one of those LED signs that can have a flashing arrow pointing to either Left or Right, depending on what side of the road you park on.
Hello 👋 Early birds today. Haha Maybe I am not normal, but to me it's so satisfying to watch the machine suck up those leaves. Only negative thing is that your arms gotta be sore at the end of the day.
How do you calculate your pricing on leaves just by looking at it all or is it still by square footage on the lot? I agree on the HOA stuff I am in one myself in a rural subdivision but it's very relaxed thank goodness I could not handle half the things you rattled off for rules.
We use calculations! For example, 6 feet wide by 50 long would be $155. This is a rough number. But that is how we do it. We have a minimum fee as well for anything super small. It covers our cost and profit.
Sean u got to much slack in ur hose mid support chain, plus I need to bend that arm up on higher angle and add a support diag support tube. Should be a slight hump in that so u can keep the weight off urself. I put trampoline springs in ours years ago. And then ran the mid point strap over the top and around the bottom to suck it up tight while i had it rachet atraped to another truck to stretch it tight
And when I replaced the bearing on the mulch wheel after 400 hrs I had my buddy put little weld beads on the impeller shredder wheel and balance it that way. Then I started servicing the impeller and bearing and shafts mid leaf season when it got windy and rainy for a few days. And has made a major difference in multi season longevity
When I worked for the city we used a vacuum and blew it into a huge box with vent, in the bed of the dump truck, worked ok but we totally plugged up the ventilation system of the dodge truck with all the leaf dust!
I once lived in an HOA. Got a violation after the roofing company put a small sign on my lawn. Then while moving out, I got a violation with a picture of my moving pod placed in my driveway. First and last time.
Local customs govern everything. In my area (no HOA) noise and traffic ordinances would apply. But minimum courtesy is to not blow at passing traffic, including bikes, pedestrians, pets, .... Corporate policy would require an orange cone ahead and behind when working around a parked vehicle. The rules aren't to oppress you, but are standards for being a good neighbor wherever you go.
Have a suggestion to save your shoulders and arms attach some wheels to the end of your tube and roll it back and forth. Maybe a metal frame of some sort to keep it in the right position. Just a thought from a 78 year old who watches you for a few years and sees how hard you two work.
Man it made it to 86 degrees here today. Not complaining at all because I sure of what’s coming. Lol. Looked like a good productive day today. Excellent work as always. Y’all be safe care stay warm and hydrated and keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv.
Seems a little odd to deliberately remove all the leaves off the site. If they were put into a compost heap there would be a lot of nutrients for the garden and lawn.

I'm now thinking that for Version #3 of your leaf clean-up truck, you need something with a longer wheelbase.....like 2 feet longer, at least. That would give you another 130 cubic feet in the box.
Why would he ask if you could move the other truck off the road when it’s obvious that you were done and would be leaving shortly. A lot of power hungry jerks out there.
If I pay a half million dollars I WILL NOT have someone tell what to do with it. They're just strutting their authority. A million dollar home owner is not going to live like a bum.

In this video, the interaction was not shown. Just mentioned they asked if the truck could be taken off the road. This when they were almost finished. Seriously, stop sensationalizing the titles to get views.
probably never seen them take a law that was past the statue of limitations, get it passed to extend it and upgrade it to a felony for just one person. Which made the rest of the big money look at NY as a last option when investing and building. We wont.even discuss the other laws the judge and prosecutor broke in the case but there were plenty.

Check with your insurance carrier and make sure they will cover loss for the BillyGoat attached to the truck (along with all the custom aluminum you did for the side panels.) We lost a firetruck a few years ago and they would allow us to take the flashlights, but not the charging bases because they were screwed on and considered part of the truck. Same went for the $50k generator and a few other items. We found that insurance allows you to take stuff off your vehicle as long as it is not "permanently" mounted using bolts or screws. It would be a shame if you had say front end damage and you were not allowed to take all that custom work off for a replacement truck.

14:40 "Not all HOA people are jerks."
MOST ARE.
Haven't met a nice HOA yet...
I’ve lived in 3 neighborhoods with HOAs, spanning about 23 years. Never had a problem.
HOA'S are a total joke!! I don't recommend anyone ever live in one. If I own my property I will do what I want
Tried IT ONCE. Lived there 2 years and couldn't sell fast enough.

And that, ladies and gentlemen is why I like my pine trees.
Haha
I have Pine trees and the needles drive me nuts, and plugs up my gutters. Plus after the last wind storm, we picked up 188 pine cones.
Pines are horrible to cleanup after. At least the ones in northern Michigan are. The needles just get stuck in the turf and make life miserable.
I did not know back in 1982 when I planted all my pine trees that I was actually cursing myself in the future.
Well done. That sure as heck beats the tail off picking up all those leaves by hand.
OOPS there goed Charlotte " up the tube."
👍👍👍💯💯🇩🇪🇩🇪
Very nice work
I like how the green truck light shows the leaves getting sucked in. Looks like a hurricane inside the tube.
I wanna wade through leaves like that - with a dog that loves them too! 😂😂

Hoa can do anything about parking your trucks. You're on the public right of way (unless it's a gated entrance)
What do you do with the leaves and do they complain if you drive on their grass I'm just curious
the hoa has no authority to tell you to get off the road.
private road in a hoa
Other than putting a rut in there lawn it looks good
Does your vac system shred the leaves as well!
Yes 12 to 1 reduction

Hello
Seems a little odd to deliberately remove all the leaves off the site. If they were put into a compost heap there would be a lot of nutrients for the garden and lawn.
HOA’s are the devil 😂😂
I wouldn’t back the truck in to the pile of leaves HOT exhaust = Fire
👍🏻
I think what was meant was "back " following Sean, not the other way round. Not to actually back up into the leaves.
I meant don’t park the truck in the pile of leaves, it could start a fire with the hot exhaust.
Now THAT'S a blower.
Love that truck setup!

I could see where that hose gives you a workout. Stay safe Team Spencer.
It does for sure
Would it be easier or harder to just lay the hose down and have two people rake them into the hose. Adjust the truck here and there.
