One of the main reasons I loved this film so much as a kid (and still do) is because of the epic score by James Horner. They just don't do music like this any more.
This score, in my opinion, is remarkably similar to Horner's scores to Star Trek 2 and 3. His use of repetitive string lines and the use of double and triple tonging in the brass, give the overall sound in many places an immediate reminder to me of those scores. And when I played back the Star Trek scores, especially the main titles, there it is. I personally don't mind the connection as I love anything with James Horner's name on it. I just find it interesting.
A film that is an inspiration... A score that never fails to lift us out of our own time and place and transport us to a different world, an ancient civilization - one of valorous deeds and royal chivalry: KRULL!
Bad? This movie is awesome. Maybe some of the visual effects are flawed and outdated but who cares? This movie is fun and the fact that it's sincere about what it's doing rather than trying to be ironically self aware and winking at the audience makes it all the more refreshing in this day and age.
Colwyn and Lyssa were supposed to have a son who would rule the galaxy. Sounds like a sequel to me. Too bad it'll never happen. And if they did they'd balls it up with bad CGI. :(

what is there to remake? putting some badass cgi, some wannabe actors, some even more darker atmosphere along with some shitty end editing? no thanks - also the soundtrack
Such a talented composer, he scored so many of my childhood favourites. RIP James Horner
one of his best scores he has ever written
Timeless masterpiece that serves as the epitome for cinematic fantasy macabre exemplified in the most finest of works!!! Superior Soundtrack by far!
A Great One is gone. Thanks for that magical and mystical music. Godspeed James Horner.

Great movie with great score!
An esoteric cinema gem with an adroitly genius soundtrack ............ the 80's a legendary time that shall never be paralleled.

Oh my god! I love it
If they ever do a remake they must keep the original soundtrack.
Too true, loved the music, the story...great movie...there needs to be more like it these days.
This is - hands down - one of the best film scores he ever wrote, along with the Zorro score and Avatar.

Everybody wanted a Glaive when they were a kid!
Not me...I wanted one of the double firing laser guns from 'The Black Hole'...;)
This film is crying out for a remake.
Dedicado a mí esposo. Raúl.♥️🙏🏻👼🐱🐶🐈🐕🌲🌼🌟😘😘😘😘😘
I must ask the Uploader...what software did you use for this? It's really well done!
I used the "Windows Movie Maker". It´s simple... but highly effective! :D
Can you download this soundtrack on iTunes? I like this suite.....
