will the camera work if i don't have a watch battery to insert in the screen? i just added film but the shutter wont advance from S to 1 do i'm not sure if it works

what we read is just cosmetic differences between non 'super' and 'super'. Dun have both to do a comparison. the 'D' is for the 'date' function.

Can you use the rewind button when the camera glass protector lid is closed?
Nope. The rewind will not start if the lens shield is closed.
@@8storeytree I have this camera but not the super one, i tried it and it is rewinding it. Is that a bug or the older modell can do it with the closed shiled?

Thank you for the video! When I pressed the little clicker didn’t move to show ‘1’ instead it’s somewhere in between even though I’ve now taken two photos. Any idea if this is a problem?
the film counter is really just an indicator.
@@8storeytree hi! what does this mean? i’m so confused. mine started with 1 but when i took a pic, it wound in between of 1 .. 4 (there’s no 2 or 3). did i put the film incorrectly?

Yes. It does wind and trigger flash without the film as well.

My Ricoh keeps ringing whenever I slide the lens cover open, it does not stop ringing and it wont let me take any photos or charge the flash. I tried rewinding and turning rewind off, new batteries. I dont know what to do and there isnt much info on the internet
The film light also stays on while its ringing
@@xitauniverse the date function runs on a separate battery, can check on that, try replacing it. cant really diagnose the camera with limited info. but hope that helps.
