- Bill Walker demonstrates the Mission Expressionator, a very handy tool for harnessing the real time control of effects processors that have expression pedal inputs. The expressionator allows the user to control up to 3 different effects pedals, rack mount multi effects and keyboards, from 1 expression pedal. Effects can be controlled individually or in any combination, offering new creative options, while freeing up floor space or pedal board real estate. the Expressionator works with any typical expression pedal between 10 and 25 k ohm, and works with any brand including, Eventide, TC Electronic, Neunaber, Strymon. Line 6, Roland, Electro Harmonix and a host of others.
As always, Bill, a superb and inspirational offering...
Thanks Bill. That's a really cool use of the Expressionator with a looper.
Bill, thanks for a great demo!
sweet outro!
hello Bill, thanks for the informative tutorial on the "mission engineering expressionator pedal.
what I would like to know is, what is that midi controller you are using on the demo?
Thats a Gordius Little Giant, made in Belgium, not sure if they are still in production, these days I use a McMillen 12 step and Mobius, but the Grotius is super deep and built like a tank
hi, can I have a question?
does the Expressionator works with pedal, taht requires different ohms?
I have Moogeerfooger, that needs 50k and then another pedal, that requires 10k. Would it work with both of them? thank you
yes it can, its designed to work with a variety of pedals with multiple ranges.
If a guitarist is using midi, could all of this be done via a midi controller? Would the expressionator have any significant advantages that a midi controller would not have? Does the expressionator give more 'tweakabilty' in of each effect in real time?
yes of course a midi controller could do these things on the Eventide and the Line 6 however there are plenty of non midi effects pedals that have an expression pedal port but no midi Like the cool Neunaber Stereo Wet reverb, and there are some expression pedal curves that the expressionator can do that are unique that a typical midi controller won't do
***** Great, Thanks for the help.
What is the looping pedal in the bottom right corner of the video?
thats actually a Gordius little Giant midi foot controller , now out of production. The Looper Im controlling is a rack mounted Looperlative LP-1 which has just gone back in to production
I wish there was a pedal that did exactly the opposite.
+wasabihansen check out Neunaber effects his V2 stereo pedals and exp control allows you to use up to 4 expression pedals to control
the functions
+wasabihansen can you elaborate? I'm curious...
+No Blitz please look at this video, and notice the Neunaber EXP switch has 4 expression pedal ports , one for each knob on the Neunaber seraphim effect pedal and a master port that controls all knob functions at once , I only use the master "preset morph" port ua-cam.com/video/TQ9aIQjXHM8/v-deo.html
+Bill Walker I was more interested in what the OP meant by "exactly the opposite" of this exp pedal switcher
Yaah, the Neunaber comes close, but it doesn't work for what I want a pedal to do "exactly the opposite". The reason what I'd like a pedal to do that is to switch from a traditional expression pedal to the EHX 8-Step Program to a Source Audio Hot Hand.
