It really seems like on your channel you have the high end scanners being put to real use. It would be great to see you do comparisons to some of the Revo point models like the new range versus the $7-10k models you have currently to show the functional difference between them.

Interesting product. definitely got some pre-production bugs but a nice tool to the arsenal.

Nice review, have one of these on order. Curious to hear your feedback after a few weeks use. I hope to receive mine in the coming days.

our initial thought is that its a fantastic piece of hardware that needs refinement on the software side of things - luckily the software side is the easier side to update and fix!

Do you guys make custom LED head and tail lights people can design/request and you all build and sell?

I think it's hilarious you say it feels like the artec stuff.. considering there was a suit about the software ripping off artec LOL
also one of the things its "supposed" to do is scan black and smooth surfaces without spray

will touch on this in a later video, but that definitely was a thought we had, considering our artec background. We hope with future developments they deviate and build an identity of their own!

Nice video. I have one os these scanners and got it on a super early bird special for under $800 and for that price is absolutely amazing scanner. NOT for $7500. It does not do shiny black objects well at all without spray. It is great for scanning sculptures or casts of sculptures. I did not get it for that reason so I will have to keep playing with it to see how it goes. I have experience with an Artec Spider (or Space Spider) and they are very very very far worlds apart in accuracy from just a week of using it. Again I have more tests to do but, I don't think I'll ever get a 0.1mm let alone .05mm of accuracy as they advertise for the Whale. The software needs a lot of documentation which there is very little of and it needs to get more robust and with a lot more detail control and maybe some sort of calibration process. Anyhow either way it's great for $800 not for 7K plus.

Being that its a new product, we're going to continue to use it and give it a while before we make any final judgement on all your points - but we definitely see where you're coming from.

They were offering these on Facebook for $900 🤔
    It's $7500 now.
His complaints about the tripod are very silly. Yes give me less features and accessories, lol.

its a valid argument - our use case for having the tripod is next to none. There is no real situation for us where we'd actually use it.

There is currently zero utility for low-mid quality 3D Scanners. Luma AI just blows them out the water for free.
