Looks like you got a good one. I've just received mine today and the finish is AA at best plus the trem pocket is wonky. glad someone uploaded a good video to compare to, thanks, will be asking for a swap for mine!
You're right. At first glance the pickup selector catch me, why the hall they palece it on that posistion? Looks uncomfy. Other than that, it's a great guitar. Mahogany body, SD JB and cool rail splittable sounds great! Love the necktrough and neck-head white binding.
Not hot rails and not SH-2. Gibson/Kramer advertise them as coming with cool rails and a JB. Mine came with the cool rails and a TB-4 humbucker. Could not stand the TB-4. It had this mid range honk, anemic and sounded too dark. The tremolo system is ok. Anyway, I changed the TB-4 to a Dimarzio and sounds so much better. Probably will change the cool rails, too, as I am still on the fence about them. The tone and volume knobs are smooth and the the treble bleed circuit is good. Finally, mine did not come with the sticker candy and booklets. That and because the setup was not great makes me dislike Gibson as I bought it from their garage shop in Nashville.
Great question. So after this video was filmed, I did notice that the tuning would be a bit off as compared to my other guitar with a Floyd Rose. It wasn’t by much, but it was enough to sound out of tune. I don’t worry much about it because I think it’s probably an easy fix but out of the box, I did have a little bit of tuning issues. Thanks for bringing that up!
Kramer The SM1 has the most beautiful headstock design in the world of guitars and even since Jackson models
It’s pretty badass!
The bump on the neck is called a Volute. It’s to reinforce the headstock so it has a lower chance of breaking.
Awesome! I never knew that thanks for the comment!

Appreciate your video. Paul guy myself. I want a low low action shredder with a reliable trem bar. Maybe HSH pickups. Still looking...
I think this guitar would actually do you good. Just adjust that Floyd and I bet you’ll like it.
Awesome guitar. I love pickle burst must resist urges...
Haha it is awesome!
Dont like the selector sw under the trem arm area...

Thanks for letting us know what pickups! 🙏🏼glad the dimarzios worked out for you!
Hey mate do you know the difference between the sm-1 and sm-1 figured ?
Unfortunately I do not. Sorry!
Looks like a pretty wide neck. What is the nut width on these?
Don’t know off the top of my head but you can easily search it online 😀
is it possible to remove the whammy bar?
Yes 👍🏼
what about the intonation issues? these indonesian kramers have poor tuning stability unless the bridge is leveled to the body. what do you think?
