Sal Cruz Jr Great, now I'm picturing Triple H and Hull Coagan getting into a "Wabbit Season! Duck Season!" promo ripping shirts off of him, and after like 4 shirts you see he's wearing in his 1-2-3 Kid tights and his old music hits.

Like someone said on a comment I let. Sting was brought in because he was the last remnant of WCW that Vince had not defeated. Of course Sting did say that he did not want to come in and be a legend version of Super Cena, and that he wanted to help develop younger talent, it is still sad to see how he was treated, and from what I was told it was all Vince. Triple H actually wanted Sting to go over, but Vince wouldn't let it happen. To me it is sad because Vince had a lot of great talent, and angles, and gimmicks when he acquired WCW and ECW, but his ego wouldn't let him use them because he would not promote something that he didn't create or was created under him and his guidance. You see the same thing with his talent now. It seems as though WWE isn't the Mecca it used to be, and it is more of a pit stop now for talent to pad their resume. Sting (5 star rating) Athleticism ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Body ⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ Charisma ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Moveset ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Promos ⭐⭐⭐ Psychology ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Technical ⭐⭐ One of the greatest of all time, although he started out as a body/athletic guy by the time he hit his prime he was one of the best physical storytellers ever. His promos got better as he aged but inside the ring few wrestlers could match the goosebumps he regularly gave crowds.
Smark logic: WCW used WWF stars and got big (Five years later they're out of business) Smark logic II: WWE needs to use WCW guys to get big (15 years later, despite using their own guys, they have a bigger revenue stream than WCW did for all their years COMBINED and runs a profit in nearly every division)
I hated the fact that the WWE always has to kill what they didn't create such as Sting & I will not look at this ever again instead I will remember Sting of old as in from his WCW days & TNA days cuz those were his best years
"I'm really looking forward to reviewing The Authority in the future." I'm from the future and I'm here to tell you that your Authority video is one of my favorite videos of yours. It showed me why my decision to stop watching wrestling as far back as 2010 was justified, the description of events drove me insane just hearing you explain it which means I would have lost my mind entirely if I actually watched it all live and it shows me that I missed out on some pretty good cringe moments as well.

Wrestling With Wregret- I've never played 'Dungeons & Dragons' in my life, but, what you said around 7:28-7:32 was great advice, regardless. I commend you for that.
In hindsight, in 2023, we now have had Sting, Edge, and even Steve Austin wrestle at least one match long after receiving the spinal stenosis diagnosis.

Sting is my all-time wrestler it was a honor to meet this man after waiting over 20 years great guy in real life I did not like what WWE did with him he had a better run with TNA if you ask me but nothing will beat the WCW Legendary Run that he had God I miss WCW
So funny to watch this video in 2024 -Sting returned to wrestling -is about to officially retire -there was a Young Bucks reference in this video which is funny considering Sting is going to face Bucks in his final match -and Brian mentioned Edge and Austin, along with Sting, who all had to retire due to the very same back problems and what is funny is that they came back to wrestle years after this video was posted, not just Sting but all three of them Amazing
Wrestling With Wregret- You pose a good question around 8:26-8:29. To be fair, you could also say that same thing about Shawn Michaels because he, too was in the nWo--technically speaking. Yes, I know it was WWE's incarnation of the nWo that from early-2002 through mid-2002, but, it still counts.
I still never understood why WWE thought it was a great idea to put HHH vs Sting AND have HHH go over. That match itself wasnt a dream match and Sting should have won
I was at that March 16th, 2015 Raw episode. The place went absolutely apeshit when that crow's caw rang through the arena. I went with my brother and two friends and none of us had voices the next day from screaming for Sting.
Appreciate all you do on this channel and Sting is my favorite wrestler as I got hooked big time on the Monday Night wars with Sting taking the Crow gimmick to the NWO. Though WWF in the 80s is what caught my eye at first, it was WCW that really made me a fan.
The title would've looked better with the"W3" (like your channel icon) in yellow and the "Wrestling With Wregret" lettering in white (since in your icon, you are in white front and center). Otherwise it's a nice looking title.
I feel if Sting never got hurt, he would have been a former WWE Champion. Maybe not that night but eventually.... or maybe HE would have fought Kane? Who knows. He got hurt. Career ended short. He still had a lot left in the tank but UNDERTAKER vs STING just wasn't meant to be.... ... but DANIEL BRYANS return.... gives me hope... & with Undertaker still wrestling.... I can only hold onto that hope. :(
I think it’s clear that if the Taker Sting match happened at Mania, it would’ve been a train wreck. After 2013, it was pretty much proven that Taker needed a younger, more agile person to work with in the ring.
The most disappointing part of Sting's run in the WWE is that because of the fact that he was the only one from WCW and TNA that was never in the WWE until 2014, we had high expectations for what his debut might be. I also expected him to wrestle The Undertaker as soon as he debuted, as Taker also has a dark Gothic morbid gimmick and during the time he was still undefeated at WrestleMania, which would've made Sting's debut a must see and a more memorable one. But instead they had him LOSE TO FUCKING TRIPLE H !!
It’s amazing that Vince would use one of the greatest ever to get a mediocre talent over rather than give everyone the match he deserved against the taker
I never wanted Sting to go there, even when everybody was talking about how badly they wanted to see Sting vs. Taker which wouldn't have been good anyway since both were past their primes by that point. This was one of those "Be careful what you wish for" type of situations. I liked the idea of him being the only major superstar that never worked for Vince but oh well....
The only real problem with Sting's return is that he only got the single win on Raw (well a Double win, because he beat Big Show by DQ, then he and John Cena beat Show & Seth Rollins in a Tag match). Yes, he should've won the WrestleMania match, or with the loss, he and Triple H should've had a rematch at SummerSlam, with Sting getting the victory. And it's a real shame that he got hurt by Rollins at Night of Champions, I still imagine that had he not been hurt, we would've got Sting vs Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 (Shane would've faced someone else). It sucks that we never got Sting vs Taker, or Sting vs John Cena or anyone of the amazing matches that we could've gotten, but life is funny that way. Sting at least wrestled a match at WrestleMania, got a shot at the WWE World Title and entered the WWE Hall of Fame.
Say If Seth Rollins Being Injured For Wrestlemania 32 Being Revenge For Him Injuring Sting, & The Only Top WCW Star To Appear At Wrestle mania 32 Was DDP, In That Andre Battle Royal Where He Couldn''t Have Gotten Buried, Because Shaquille O'Neal Was a Special Guest Competitor & DDP Being Eliminated Could Have Help Elevate A Young Up And Coming Superstar In The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
The Top WWE/WCW Stars During The Monday Night Wars That Appeared At Wrestlemania Were Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, The Rock & DDP. (Sting Was Inducted In The Hall Of Fame)The Top Stars Including Brock Lesnar That Were Already There Were The Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, The Big Show & Richard Flair.
The WWE'S Treatment Of Sting Could've Hurt Their Buyrate Of The Biggest Wrestlemania Attendance In History With Their Current Wrestlers Being Injured, Orton, Cena (Who Returned That Night To Help Out The Rock Against The Wyatt Family) & Seth Rollins.
Survivor Series 2014 was where The Authority storyline should have ended. And I agree with Brian that the worst part of the Sting vs Triple H storyline was that even though Sting had said that he'd come to WWE to stop The Authority abusing their power like The NWO had in WCW the announcers still treated it like a WWE vs WCW feud.
The Sting/HHH was a nostalgia thing for the fans from the 90’s still managing to hold on. Sting should have won obviously, but with the lead up it telegraphed HHH going over. I still was happy seeing Sting in WWE, it should have happened 2 years earlier. 2011/2012 was when he should have came over.
“WCW did not define Sting. Sting defined WCW”. Couldn’t agree more. Sting was the biggest name in wrestling to never work for Vince until 2014.
Who would be the biggest name now? Nick Jackson?
He defined both his businesses with a few other stars like goldberg in wcw and aj styles in tna
@TheAngelic1 He was in WWE's developmental program, Deep South Wrestling, so technically Omega has even worked for them

In my top 5 wrestlers of all time.
Junk Yard Gypsy I think everyone feels that way.
Phil McCrevice You are the only person. I guarantee you did not like the WCW product then.
EMFS A lot of people didn’t like WCW...
my brother and i was hyped as hell when sting showed up in wwe. but once they began labeling him "mr.wcw" we both knew he was losing.
wwe just won't let go that they beat wcw when they made it clear he was fighting for wcw (even though he said he wasn't fighting for wcw) sting was on the road to wrestlemaniahhh
Sting (5 star rating)
Athleticism ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Body ⭐⭐ ⭐⭐
Charisma ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Moveset ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Promos ⭐⭐⭐
Psychology ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Technical ⭐⭐
One of the greatest of all time, although he started out as a body/athletic guy by the time he hit his prime he was one of the best physical storytellers ever. His promos got better as he aged but inside the ring few wrestlers could match the goosebumps he regularly gave crowds.
Brian, you are an inspiration
Scott Steiner, Goldberg, Booker T and Sting all buried by Terra Rysing
Fucking wack ass hhh
‘Sting was diagnosed with Cervical Spinal Stenosis , an injury that ended the Careers of Edge and Steve Austin’
Me: *Laughs in 2022*
Sting was used badly in WWE. He really should have came to WWE sooner to be used better.
The same would still happened
they did this to scott steiner and goldberg back in 2004
Baraka take over what? He could just beat hhh and leave. But hhh ego is too big
Gary Turbo yes he would been buried by jobbing to bootista, brock, cena and boreton
Smark logic: WCW used WWF stars and got big
(Five years later they're out of business)
Smark logic II: WWE needs to use WCW guys to get big
(15 years later, despite using their own guys, they have a bigger revenue stream than WCW did for all their years COMBINED and runs a profit in nearly every division)
I hated the fact that the WWE always has to kill what they didn't create such as Sting & I will not look at this ever again instead I will remember Sting of old as in from his WCW days & TNA days cuz those were his best years
"I'm really looking forward to reviewing The Authority in the future."
I'm from the future and I'm here to tell you that your Authority video is one of my favorite videos of yours. It showed me why my decision to stop watching wrestling as far back as 2010 was justified, the description of events drove me insane just hearing you explain it which means I would have lost my mind entirely if I actually watched it all live and it shows me that I missed out on some pretty good cringe moments as well.
After Sting left TNA he should have retired. I knew that if Sting came to WWE they would find some way to ruin him. It was "too little, too late".
a wrestling with wregret theme opening with ocarina of time music and a kickass custom belt.
best intro of 2018 already
Dude your execution in this format...FUCKIN BRILLIANT!!!!! you're script is so witty and funny, but also informative..and you're physical performance, High Level bro...I'm so glad I'm a Subscriber
Wrestling With Wregret- I've never played 'Dungeons & Dragons' in my life, but, what you said around 7:28-7:32 was great advice, regardless.
I commend you for that.
Awesome Video like always and.....DAT BELT!!!!!
MrNTG1990 video was only up two mins when you said this ..
Conor Geraghty I already knew it was going to be awesome when he started talking about Sting.
In hindsight, in 2023, we now have had Sting, Edge, and even Steve Austin wrestle at least one match long after receiving the spinal stenosis diagnosis.
12:19 Are you to staying for dinner?
Sting & Kane: YASSSSS *fistbump*
Me: what?
*rewind*
12:19 Are you to staying for dinner?
Sting & Kane: YASSSSS *fistbump*

12:19 Are you to staying for dinner?
Sting & Kane: YASSSSS *fistbump*
Me: WHATTTTTTTT?
I swear that's my actual reaction.
two*
5:00 That future Authority review was quite interesting.
This isn’t goodbye it’s see you later in AEW
That “isn’t goodbye, see ya later” comment has aged very well!
yup AEW
Sting is my all-time wrestler it was a honor to meet this man after waiting over 20 years great guy in real life I did not like what WWE did with him he had a better run with TNA if you ask me but nothing will beat the WCW Legendary Run that he had God I miss WCW
Fuck wcw
why did i get recommended this the same night Sting debut's on AEW 😂
So funny to watch this video in 2024
-Sting returned to wrestling
-is about to officially retire -there was a Young Bucks reference in this video which is funny considering Sting is going to face Bucks in his final match
-and Brian mentioned Edge and Austin, along with Sting, who all had to retire due to the very same back problems and what is funny is that they came back to wrestle years after this video was posted, not just Sting but all three of them
Amazing
Wrestling With Wregret- You pose a good question around 8:26-8:29.
To be fair, you could also say that same thing about Shawn Michaels because he, too was in the nWo--technically speaking.
Yes, I know it was WWE's incarnation of the nWo that from early-2002 through mid-2002, but, it still counts.
Sting's first wwe appearance: oh wow, this building has fans in it.
Ikr
And we did see Sting later...in AEW
I still never understood why WWE thought it was a great idea to put HHH vs Sting AND have HHH go over. That match itself wasnt a dream match and Sting should have won
I was at that March 16th, 2015 Raw episode. The place went absolutely apeshit when that crow's caw rang through the arena. I went with my brother and two friends and none of us had voices the next day from screaming for Sting.
My favourite wrestler of the 90s. Sting was just an absolute pro and decent guy.
I was there for Sting’s match vs Triple H. The crowd was so hyped but was completely dead after he lost
5:45 Hey Hey, it’s Conrad!
I’ve probably watched this vid at least half a dozen times now. Your content is just so rewatchable.
Wait when Brian defeat Lugeyps3 for UA-cam Championship ?
And he changed the design too?
Anyway that title is a beauty
That belt looks fantastic bro
Fun fact: That fake Sting was actually Heath Slater.
Appreciate all you do on this channel and Sting is my favorite wrestler as I got hooked big time on the Monday Night wars with Sting taking the Crow gimmick to the NWO. Though WWF in the 80s is what caught my eye at first, it was WCW that really made me a fan.
Is Ocarina of Time a favorite of yours?
He didnt ask you...
Link to the past and botw are not even in the top 5
James Howard Maybe not BOTW but Link To The Past definitely
Mike Bushnell hahahahaha bullshit
2:31
You really got me there Brian 🤣😂
I would've loved to have seen a Sting WWE title run.
Seeing him lose and getting permantely injured pissed me off so much I stop watching wrestling after that
I want the “I used to be over” hat. It kinda pertains to my life
The title would've looked better with the"W3" (like your channel icon) in yellow and the "Wrestling With Wregret" lettering in white (since in your icon, you are in white front and center). Otherwise it's a nice looking title.
can I get a background on it? how did he win it, when?
5:36 - fun fact, that Sting was actually played by Heath Slater!
He was over 50 i don't see it . He did fight kane before on wcw
I feel like the "ridiculous at this point" line was something said by vince backstage just the way sting said it
Sting in WWE.. blink and you missed it.
Sting losing to Taker would have been WAY better than losing to Shittle H
THAT BELT IS AMAZING
I think it’s clear that if the Taker Sting match happened at Mania, it would’ve been a train wreck. After 2013, it was pretty much proven that Taker needed a younger, more agile person to work with in the ring.
I wish Sting never went to WWE. Ruined him completely.
But instead they had him LOSE TO FUCKING TRIPLE H !!
and then he got injured by Rollins and forced to retire at that point I gave up on wrestling
Grim might challenge you for that Brian
I would love to see that
Grim is a fat turd who treats his friends like garbage.
I've watched this video before, but I have to say I love your usage of the Ocarina Of Time/Majora's Mask house theme at the beginning of your video.
Very glad this turned out NOT to be Sting's final run in wrestling. 62 years old and the man may have lost a step or two but he can still go.
Sting's TNA run is solid and underrated, much like the rest of TNA during the aughts.
Agreed
100x YES! for the outro music. Had that in my head the whole time after you made the "Drinking-in-front-of-a-mirror Sting" joke.
5:50 Conrad Thompson
“A man with a sense of justice but not quite a hound” 😂 oh my god that really got me, i’m such a wrestling nerd!
Hey atleast Sting won a match
Holy low expectations!
is this the mandela effect on meth at work with some selective nostalgia trying to rationalize what happened.
Two matches
I think Gillberg may have won more matches in WWE than Sting did which is sad
OLE SammyOLE go watch flat earth videos
Survivor Series 2014 was where The Authority storyline should have ended. And I agree with Brian that the worst part of the Sting vs Triple H storyline was that even though Sting had said that he'd come to WWE to stop The Authority abusing their power like The NWO had in WCW the announcers still treated it like a WWE vs WCW feud.
OoT Music…Dope lol
It's funnier when you get the reference
The Sting/HHH was a nostalgia thing for the fans from the 90’s still managing to hold on. Sting should have won obviously, but with the lead up it telegraphed HHH going over. I still was happy seeing Sting in WWE, it should have happened 2 years earlier. 2011/2012 was when he should have came over.
