You know what I appreciate about this guy is that he doesn’t spend time with proper construction lingo, sell us on products and just natural when building ( he doesn’t force himself to sound like he’s a pro, despite his incredible work). Thank you for the great content and for allowing my creative side to expand. Much love from Palm Springs Ca
I was going to make some bunk beds a couple weeks ago and saw your preview to this video and specifically waited until this came out! Now I can get to work.
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
The more I watch your channel the more I love your channel. I love your aesthetic but more importantly I love your “let’s learn together” approach. Awesome build!
Awwww... remembering when my twin boys were that age. Now turning 14. 😐 What a great project, and well executed, bro. Lol... you had a good little painter their for a little while! Kids love projects like this and learn a lot too. Dads (AND mom’s), go do something like this with and for your kids. Takes a little time and money, but the memories you will have, and more importantly, the memories they will have, are for a lifetime. Loving your channel, man!
Well done, Sir! I'm thankful that you always include the mishaps and unforseen issues. So glad its not only me, and that folks at your caliber of building go through the same thing!
I love the built in bunk beds! I’m doing a full remodel on my house. I’d love to make some adult versions of these in what is going to be my guest room. I had those faux beams in my dining room originally. Keep it up these are super helpful!
Ahhh freaking love this!! You took what easily could've been a $5-$10k set from some company and made with what, a couple hundred dollars? And it looks better than anything I have ever seen. You put a lot of love and thought into this with incredible results. Thank you for posting!
these vids are always great. love to see a guy providing for his family/home, working with his hands, teaching others, all while in his socks or barefoot. love that natural look so I tune in when the shoes are off 😊. makes it looks so easy with all the tools/equipment. I don’t even own a screwdriver myself but please keep up the good work with the vids.
So awesome, I am so going to build this for my 2 sons. They would love the LED light feature as well. Although my older son is 12, my younger would totally rotate his sleeping options. Great build. Looks durable, professional and amazing! Great job!
Awesome inspiration to have the courage to do my own DIY work around the house. I know the wife is super happy. Guest bathroom done, bathroom 2 next then maybe the kitchen...... see how brave I get hahaha
Those faux beams look great, intact the whole project looks amazing. But those beams really do it justice. 👌🏽 Always good to see the kids interested in helping build things. Awesome build mate 👍🏽
I thought the slow autofocus was hilarious. Reason why it does that is because you have a black shirt that matches the walls and your skin tone is very similar to the wood you are using. Therefore it is taking its time to figure out what it should focus on. The bunk beds came out amazing.
I'm new to your channel and really enjoy watching you build such a beautiful home for your family. You need to be on HGTV, I could watch you all day. Keep up the great work you have a beautiful family.
i love the build, the only thing i would add (based on my old hose experience) is some kind of charging station, in the future they likely gonna have phones, laptop or alarm clock to charge, so be able to charge them on the bed would be nice.
Ay Mr build it, you make me jealous with all these builds you do and the customizations you make to your home, I've been watching your videos all day they're so interesting and all the builds are absolutely brilliant!! Good job man keep up the good work!!
I thought this video would be cool to learn, it is, however it made me realize how many tools I don’t have, and exactly that I know nothing about wood working, or framing 😟
So awesome! When you fix everything I hope you'll sell your house for a major profit and then start on a new one...you are so creative. Your boys obviously loved those bunk beds...zonked!
Hey! If it is hard for you to make the beds, there is this brand called beddys, it is a full on sheet, blanket and cover all in one piece, the way you make the bed is just by zipping it up and it's as easy as that, I don't have one of these because we don't need them, but I've heard they are a really good help for bunk beds!
LED install is very similar to the bed I built for myself a few years ago (have them running behind the headboard). Your drawer install went a lot smoother by the looks than the four I did under mine! xD
Love this!! I show my husband your work all the time. If you can do it, I can do it!! You've definitely given me the courage to tackle projects around the house. Lol. What size is the boy's room?
Alright, I love EVERYTHING about this video, and the tips will be put to good use. 1 things is just fake though. No wallpaper in the history of *forever* comes off that easy. :P Thanks man, this is super useful!
Love this, I will be building one very soon and plan to use 90% of this design. Can you tell me how you made the faux beam from the 4x6 and 2x4 on the face or front of the beds. I can’t figure out how to make one with both being 3.5” without having a lip on one or both sides.
+1 on that alkyd paint, that stuff is awesome.... I have have a dog that scratches the door and almost 2 years later the alkyd paint still looks decent. Standard latex would’ve been terrible first day.
Great build boss!!! I’m sure you get this question however where did you learn to do this or any of your builds did you have formal training? I’m trying to get to that level I’m new to your channel and I believe your the best I’ve seen
Am I the only one here that does not have kids or any intention of building this, but loves watching these videos? :) LOL awesome video!
Same

Lol lamoo
his house is my literal dream home. it's so aesthetically pleasing
I wanna have twins just to try and make something like this! But seriously thanks for all tour videos, they give us a ton of ideas
Oh my goodness me too!!! I'm so jealous of his kids ;D
Nia Travis my name is Nia too!
It Really Is!
OMG ME TOO

You underestimate the power of growing kids.
@@darkopz not really. just take a big demo hammer. Adding the wood glue makes a strong bond. Even stronger than the pocket screws.
In comparison to how this house was before, the resale value is going to be bananas. Love all the projects!
@Andres Leon the bunk bed yea, but the rest of the projects have significantly increased the value of the home
True unless they have kids But all the projects in the house bring the value up
Not to mention the money his making on UA-cam for each video. Smart guy. All these project are pretty much paying themselves with UA-cam
I was going to make some bunk beds a couple weeks ago and saw your preview to this video and specifically waited until this came out! Now I can get to work.
Mech Master Good Luck!
This will be the only time that room is that clean. GREAT BUILD!!!!

As a father of 3 kids under the age of 10, I salute you. Not only did you build something cool, but your being a great dad. Hats off
The more I watch your channel the more I love your channel. I love your aesthetic but more importantly I love your “let’s learn together” approach. Awesome build!
I’m calling it now; this channel will hit one million subscribers in 6 months. Alex is just too talented and entertaining.
Well..... ummmm..... never mind

My husband and I would like to hire this guy to flip our house! This man does his job perfectly!!!
I love the built in bunk beds! I’m doing a full remodel on my house. I’d love to make some adult versions of these in what is going to be my guest room. I had those faux beams in my dining room originally. Keep it up these are super helpful!
I love the way you make things to your kids, they look so happy!

Great now my wife wants this for our son. She’s going to be surprisingly disappointed

Love the way u make your video. Easy to understand, fast. No bs
So awesome, I am so going to build this for my 2 sons. They would love the LED light feature as well. Although my older son is 12, my younger would totally rotate his sleeping options. Great build. Looks durable, professional and amazing! Great job!
I just started doing at home projects when I bought my first house recently. And these are so cool!! Love the channel
I would love to make this for my boys but in full over full . Looks so easy and affordable
Awesome inspiration to have the courage to do my own DIY work around the house. I know the wife is super happy. Guest bathroom done, bathroom 2 next then maybe the kitchen...... see how brave I get hahaha
Best dad award goes to you !
You are an awesome dad! Blessings to you and your family. I’m going to try this.
"What this room is lacking is... Room" 😂
Always amazes me how big the American houses and garages are - great job
Have no idea what he is saying but it’s so satisfying to watch the transition❤️
Those faux beams look great, intact the whole project looks amazing. But those beams really do it justice. 👌🏽
Always good to see the kids interested in helping build things.
Awesome build mate 👍🏽

The bunk beds came out amazing.
my grandpa is making bunk beds for me and my little sister and i think i will do what you did and put led lights on it it looks so cool!
Luca Geatti that’s dangerous.
@@anneramsey6403why should it be? plus he already put a wireless charger on the toilet paper holder i don't see why not near the bed
Luca Geatti in uk we have had cases of phones catching light in beds where people have them plugged in and on their beds. X
@@anneramsey6403 that's why you create a charge station and put it on a shelf or similar
Anne Ramsey not really I have one by my bed so does most people
What a great, amazing dad you are!! 🤩😁 Keep up the good work.
Ay Mr build it, you make me jealous with all these builds you do and the customizations you make to your home, I've been watching your videos all day they're so interesting and all the builds are absolutely brilliant!! Good job man keep up the good work!!
They were so happy! I really love this build!
Amazing Bunk bed! So much room for activities!!!
You should see about getting a second controller module for the LEDs, so that each bunk has it's own lights. That way the kids won't fight over it :)
This is the best bunk bed build I've seen yet! I Love it!
Awesome. The beds turn out wonderfully. You're one handy guy. 👍👍
I thought this video would be cool to learn, it is, however it made me realize how many tools I don’t have, and exactly that I know nothing about wood working, or framing 😟
You are my main inspiration for building things for my bedroom. I love your channel and content.
I love my husband very much, but I wish he was as handy as this man.
The boys are having so much fun I know it!! The forts they can make now !!! Cool built
Hmmmmm
This is almost perfect! For me atleast... everything is square except for the round trim... still an amazing project!!
This is perfect. I am going to add curtains to give my children privacy thank you for the video.
this project is defiantly on my to do list as i have twin girls that share a small room.
I'm attempting to build this tomorrow, it won't be as good as this 1 though. but I'll try lol
So awesome! When you fix everything I hope you'll sell your house for a major profit and then start on a new one...you are so creative. Your boys obviously loved those bunk beds...zonked!
Love this channel, surely a 18 yr old doesnt have an idea of how to use a cutting machine, l still love to see the transformations.

Beautiful craftsmanship
Omg I love it 😍 I am definately telling my husband to make this for our kids 😄
That came out awesome you did a great job on the bunkbeds
such a great dad!!!!!
I really enjoyed this build Alex. Great audience engagement.
Are the build plans available? That would make it much easier to go shopping for the wood. Thanks!
great work. I like how he makes it easy to build yourself. (Just like the floating shelfs) Thank you. Indio, CA
You are a great dad, man. 👍🏻
Watched while holding my son from Australia. Keep up the great videos :)
Wow u have such good imagination i wish my dad was creative like you
Good job dude! Re the mattress size, I made the exact same mistake! And the exact same solution! Great minds eh!
This guy is so underrated bro
love love love the bunk beds, but can I ask why they aren't evenly spaced?
Looks beautiful
Wonderful. The detailing is so nice and really makes the final result. Such great work :-)

Such a clean build!!!! Looks awesome
Awesome video! Helpful info! Making memories with the kiddos is also a huge plus, I bet. Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed watching this video. Thumbs up for the great work.
Work of art!
Will Ferrell and John C Reilly could have used you when they tried to make their own bunk beds
Super genial gebaut
Alright, I love EVERYTHING about this video, and the tips will be put to good use. 1 things is just fake though. No wallpaper in the history of *forever* comes off that easy. :P Thanks man, this is super useful!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Grayson Dolan saw this video already, he wants to be a dad so badly 😭🤍
omg grayson would probably build it on an island 😭💀💀
Woow this is awsome i might ask my dad if he can do it!! I love this :)
Awesome bunks.
Nice! I love the video of them sleeping at the end!

+1 on that alkyd paint, that stuff is awesome....
I have have a dog that scratches the door and almost 2 years later the alkyd paint still looks decent. Standard latex would’ve been terrible first day.
Great build! That milwaukee heated vest!!🔥🔥😎NICE!!
I got half way through and had to stop to rewind to see if you had the mustache at the beginning. Great project man!
great video, beautiful family.
That garage is bada$$! Lpp, I cant wait to set up my workshop like that 😁
Way to go, man! Love it 👍
