We went on this ship last week during Hurricane Milton. There was quite a bit of rain leaving Florida. I heard around from people on deck 2 there were plumbing problems. Toilets not flushing, and water backing up through the tub. Also, many of the public areas like the atrium and the aft part of the ship were very hot. The AC definitely wasn't working well.
We are going to get on Disney Wish very soon so I’ve been watching a lot of Disney cruise related videos. Funny that I found another blogger “Adventures in Millerland” was on the same ship at the same time as you folks. You were at Palo at the same time for brunch and saw the falling chair on deck. What a small world😊 Edit: never mind, you came on the ship together 😅
@@OurZRoll yes, it’s our first cruise as a family. We just came back yesterday. We loved it! One recommendation for parents who have little kids is that you need to utilize the nursery or kids club. We did it once on board and all 3 of my kids didn’t like it so we never did it again. Then the vacation was more like a full time day care program for my husband and me😅
Over 30 years ago, my 'wildman' cousin & his wife went on a Caribbean cruise. They happened to meet 2 of his friends who he hadn't seen since high school with their wives. There was a storm, so the Captain ordered all passengers to stay inside. Well, my 'wildman' cousin and his 2 friends refused to listen. They made their way to the top deck. Since they were the only ones outside, they removed their clothes, and, with their drinks, sat in the jacuzzi. My cousin loved it, with the storm blowing all around them. Suddenly, a big gust blew all their clothes away into the void. The one friend found the employee staircase and the 3 of them made their way back to their decks. (My cousin said the employees ignored them; cruise ship workers probably have seen all kinds of wild things). My cousin's wife thought it was funny, but the one wife locked her husband out of their stateroom. He wound up spending the night with the other couple.
Literally never considered putting my creamer (I use milk) in first before my coffee. Mind blown. Don’t even have to stir it. My life will never be the same.
Love Palo’s! My favorite is the Chicken Parm! It’s so yummy 😊 I don’t if you guys know but you probably do, when you become Platinum you get one free brunch and dinner per cruise. That is ashame that there is a lot of flooding going on around the ship! Disney needs to take the ship in to dry dock and check all of this out! All and all another awesome volg. ❤️
We’re doing our first cruise as Gold Castaway Club members this summer and hoping to finally try Palo Brunch! It looked so good 😍 What a crazy day of storms. I thought of you guys as I saw some of the flooding issues on TikTok in real time. Glad to see on your end that it was mild!
I LOVE Palo brunch. Palo dinner is a lovely experience as well but there’s something about brunch. I miss the “old” version of brunch when it was a buffet as well as a sit down order, but this is still fantastic. My favorites are eggs Benedict and chicken Parmesan. Yummmmm.
Just got off the Wonder for our first ever cruise and managed to get a Palo reservation once we got on board. We somehow ordered everything on the menu between the 2 of us and finished 90% of it. I can’t narrow it down to 1 item, but we go back again, I’m getting the almond croissant, seafood antipasti with extra servings of salmon and ahi, salmon Benedict, celery soup, chicken parm, half spicy Italian sausage-half Gorgonzola pizza, and ALL the desserts 😂
I have never been on a cruise and would love to go on a Disney cruise one day. Yesterday I found and brought some Disney cruise post it notes in a charity shop for 50p.
I’m glad that we didn’t hear about all of the leaks until the next day. That may have caused some anxiety. I think we stayed indoors most of that day and did a lot of shows & trivia.
Your day of food was amazing! So much variety. That rain was crazy. Junie is so good, so are the boys. I've never been on a cruise but I hope to one day. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!!
The storm was CRAZY! I have a 12 year old son who has major anxiety with weather. He was sure the ship was going down, so that was fun! 😢 I did see you guys several times, but I’m kinda shy! Sorry I didn’t come say hi. Haha. It was fun watching this and remembering our day that day. FYI, Cabanas had opened during the day with the food from outside, except the ice cream. I don’t remember what time though.
oh no! Im so sorry! Ya Landen got a little freaked out a couple of times too. Dang! that would have been good to know about Cabanas... we thought room service was the only option then. Good to know if there is a next time but hoping there isn't lol !
I had the almond croissant on our last Palo visit. It is absolutely one of the best things onboard. Lol love it! Looks like Justin got a deep tissue back massage 😂😂😂😂 while Lacey was gone.

We heard they dry docked the ship and did a lot of maintenance after our sailing 👍🏻
