  • The Texas heat can be a beat down. And lots of plants struggle to keep up. We’ve all seen gardens that thrive in the spring when conditions are glorious. But, come summer the casualties start piling up.
Lucky for us there are a variety of plants that can endure the tough hot and dry conditions we experience during a Texas summer.
So, we thought we’d share a few ideas with you. And show you some plants that can add color to your garden without too much of a spike in your water bill.
These native and adapted plants are Texas tough. And they’re a great fit for our North Texas landscapes.
The Jerusalem Sage is a native to Mediterranean regions but has been naturalized in the United States. Performs best in full sun. Low maintenance and very drought tolerant. Jerusalem Sage will die back with the frost and grow back in the spring.
