    Appreciate this review. I started my photographic journey shooting air-to-air refueling photography during my 21yr stint in the Air Force. The camera I started with was a used, Nikon FM, and this line of Fuji cameras takes me back to my roots and I love it. I love the mechanical dials that I can see in a glance. Menus are great for initial setup, but I hate relying on them when shooting. Fuji is on the right track.

      Nice. I started with a Nikon FM10 as well and after years of sticking with Nikon DSLRs I got the X-T3 and finally am just as excited about using a camera as I was when I first got the FM10.

    Thanks for a great look of the camera. Considering switching from high end m43 (have been for some time) but was planning on Panasonic S series or Nikon Z... not so sure anymore. Fuji does seem to give A LOT of value for and image quality. And in combination or pure and real controls. Not to mention decent prices on lenses.

    That’s a very simple solution for People who don’t like certain things about a particular camera that they find in other cameras. Buy the other camera what so hard about that. If you can’t afford the price done buy it,if you want or don’t want image stabilizer don’t buy it .if you don’t like the fact that it resembles a film camera don’t buy the camera. Why he’ll that’s so hard to understand.

    Did they fix the iso stutter when you put it on auto iso? With xt2 the auto iso goes in steps and makes it very abrupt. Did they fix that on xt3?

    Dude the camera is better in lowlight in all ways it’s backlit man...almost an entire stop difference....

    • @devinrogers4885
      @devinrogers4885 5 років тому

      have you even looked at the raw files? They are about half a stop worse on the t3 compared to the t2. The BSI almost makes up for the lowlight performance loss that was a direct result of 1. cramming more (smaller) pixels onto the same size sensor and 2. faster sensor readout. So yes, BSI helps with lowlight, but smaller pixels and faster readout harm lowlight performance drastically. So the BSI almost fixes that issue but not quite.

    The XT2's are now going for 1/2 the price as the XT3; do you think it's worth it?

    • @androios6414
      @androios6414 6 років тому +1

      hi. In my opinion just for photography its not worth it. I tried both X-T2 and X-T3 for 2 weeks and returned both because I still prefer Nikon D7500/D500 for wildlife. But for any other type of photography X-T2 is great. For low light focusing X-T3 is slightly better compared to X-T2 but still struggles against Nikon. Difference between X-T2 and X-T3 in real life is minimal. I don't think you're going to notice any difference between X-T2 and X-T3. For video X-T3 is a clear winner.

    • @adrianphotovisions2308
      @adrianphotovisions2308 6 років тому +2

      I would say the XT3 is a big jump from the XT2 for stills, the autofocusing is much faster (faster sensor), better (whole sensor phase detect AF points) and eye autofocus is very good. Much better low light focusing (-3EV). If these things rock your boat, go for the XT3. I won't mention video as this is on another planet :)

    • @DavenMathies
      @DavenMathies 6 років тому +1

      New X-T2s are still ~$1,100, but even that's a great deal. Whether or not you get a noticeable improvement from the X-T3 depends on what you shoot; the extra dynamic range helps for landscapes and the AF is better for moving subjects and in low light. Also, if you're at all serious about video, the X-T3 certainly has an edge. But otherwise, the X-T2 is still great, and the money save by buying it can be put toward a lens, which could make an even bigger difference in image quality, so it's hard to argue against that :-).

    • @LeeD345
      @LeeD345 6 років тому +1

      Daven Mathies lol I’ve got X-T3 for 1250$ from my local official dealer, I wouldn’t spend more then 700$ for T2 in any condition

    • @DavenMathies
      @DavenMathies 6 років тому

      Are those US dollars? If so, that's definitely a good deal -- but I've got to quote official numbers here ;-).

  • @erikleypoldt8275

    What would you choose between X-T3 or A7III? Is full frame that much better?

    • @Fabio-rg9nv
      @Fabio-rg9nv 6 років тому +17

      Erik Leypoldt It depends on what you prefer and need. And no, the full frame A7III is not that much better. In fact, the X-T3 is better in some areas, especially in video. 4K video quality is very comparable, the Fuji has less rolling shutter which makes it better for fast moving things, and Full HD comes out at way better quality on the Fujifilm (seen it in an in depth image comparison) and even at 120fps the quality remains very impressive. The big advantage of the A7iii is low light ISO performance, meaning less noise in low light situations, but other than that, you can‘t go wrong with either of them. I actually prefer the Fujifilm for almost everything. For the price the Fujifilm X-T3 is unbeatable to be honest. For 1.5k you get more than with some 2k cameras.

      For 500 dollars more I think sony is better with Ibis,better battery life and you get a FF camera.Equivalent lens on sony have better autofocus motors,and lens are cheaper than fuji.i.e 85 1.8f is 200-300 dollars cheaper than xf 56 1.2.
      Fuji has advantages like colours and 4k60p 10 bit.But colours can be fixed on sony if you buy eoshd v4(if you dont wanna pay for it,you can get the instructions of how to do on reddit.)

    • @jed23ify
      @jed23ify 6 років тому +4

      Probably the best thing for you to do would be to rent these cameras and go from there, they are completely different in aesthetics and functionality and you may or may not like Sony’s dull computer like interface. I’ve tried the A7II and the Fuji XT-1 in the past, and they both were so great in there own ways, just try them both.

    • @mrg6424
      @mrg6424 5 років тому

      Fabio Mota makes you wonder what they can do with a $2000 or $2500 camera!!! Can’t wait to find out!

    • @Barrrt
      @Barrrt 5 років тому +1

      I think they're both great. Full frame means more bokeh which might be nice. To me, Sony is the king of face detection and eye focus and a bit less poetic then fuji. Fuji is the king of user experience. I agree with the above comment that you should just try them both. In a way to me it feels like apple vs PC. Fuji (apple) has the beautiful user experience and the good looks, Sony (PC) has technical dominance. But I'm not up to date on the specs so fuji might do better in the technical dominance domain than I think. If you're gonna make art - buy the camera that compels you to create.
