- The most commonly asked question on my channel - Can I pursue Actuarial science if I didn't study Maths?
The answer is:
There is no mandatory requirement from IAI/IFoA to have Maths as a subject for getting into this career.
But there definitely is involvement of Maths in the Actuarial Syllabus.
Maths is crucial for actuarial science, but it is not everything.
Actuarial Science is much more than just Maths.
So, if any non-Math student has interest in this profession, they can pursue it, just need to put a little bit of efforts in the initial exams. Later exams are more theoretical.

Hey, yes you can take membership from IAI or IFoA. Even I being a citizen of India took membership and qualified as Actuary from UK institute.

There is no set criteria. Main thing that recruiters see is what subjects you have studied in your graduation and which actuarial exams you have passed.

Hi, rechecking usually doesn’t change the result unless you are very sure that there is a mistake in checking or calculating your marks.
Hope you have reviewed your exam script report which tells where you have lost your marks. It’s available within your login where you see your exam results.
You can also compare your answers with the examiners report to see where you went wrong.

mam i m a CA finalist but i dint opt maths in 12th ...so can i do actuarial science if i become CA?
Since you are almost done with CA, you can do Master of Financial Mathematics and still find more or less the same opportunities as actuaries. That route is much easier than finding the actuarial job, working and writing 13 extremely hard exams.
