It's funny cause it's actually the complete opposite if you look at the numbers. Turrets hit 1 target and do 13 DMG per target maximum. Turret Whip does a 160 DMG in a 2.5 meter radius for 5 ammo. If you didn't take Turret Whip, and used Defender System, that's 13 rounds with Gemini or 11 with MK2 for a single target (across 2 firing bursts). If Turret Whip hits 2 grunts it's the grunts, it's doing the damage equivalent of 29 rounds with the Gemini system. Hit 4 grunts? That's 59 bullets worth of damage in a fraction of the time! Turret Whip may FEEL like you're burning through bullets, but you're actually saving more ammo than you think and significantly boosting your defensive capabilities as an engi

once i didn't know the turret whip actually have friendly fire, so i blasted it when we were swarmed and i got downed instantly, i remember my health being around 75%. It's risky when used upclose, but useful when keeping enemies at bay
I used turret whip for a while, but it's so hard to use sometimes. Like, there will be a massive group of enemies approaching, I have my turrets down, everything is perfect. My turrets start firing into the crowd, but the MILISECOND I shoot my Warthog the turret changes target to a random webspitter on the ceiling and the projectile completely misses. Seriously, turret whip should just empower the next shot a turret takes or something, because the number of times it's not aimed at anything when it fires the projectile ridiculous.
Fatboy: Excuse me? For real though, there is a small delay between when turret whip can be used. Using a laser gun to put a giant slow area for my turrets line of fire works wonders. Shard Diffractor with High-Intensity Heating if you're wondering.
Sadly turret whip projectile is slower than my grandma when she is on sedatives. Most of the time enemy pack will move out of the impact zone before shot reaches them. It perfect scenario when enemies are extremely densely packed and moving towards turret it absolutely shreds but it's usually disappointing.
The majority of those kills was a well placed plasma nade though. In my experience, when you throw that nade it either kills half of every enemy in the cave or does nothing lol

Turret whip is so underrated. I use it all the time. However it burns through ammo when using the 2 turret setup
Mini shells if ammo is a problem I usually only need one refill if even that and I don't even run extra shells
@@MC-ns8gb i think he meant the turret ammo cause each turret whip uses 5 ammo
I would use it but I REALLY don't like the warthog. I don't think it's bad, I just don't like playing with low range weapons

I love both turret whip and the full auto on the warthog, sometimes it’s hard to choose though. Thank Karl for presets

Even better when you don't realise your turret is pointing at you and whip yourself

You've just sold me on trying this
that's some cool wHip man
Turret whip is good for defence missions, but falls off substantially on any other mission type. It also forces you to use the shotgun.
You say that like the warthog is bad, lol.

@@DivineCerinianmyself I HATE the warthog, I don't like the fact that it has a low range.
If you have the magnetic pellet alignment OC and the accuracy mod you can have an sniper shotgun

the exploders got many of the bugs too haha, pretty sure the plasma nade was primarily used as cover for him as he builds the 2nd turret
Turret whip is deadass broken. If you aren't using it on engie you're straight trolling, you never need full auto anyways
Thing is its good only if u set up a defensive peremiter, in mobile mission it falls of as shotgun itself is not that amazing
