He's famously known as the *Lord Of Chords* due to his incredible vocal precision and agility. He has an outstanding vocal range. He started his career in the 90s through pop music mainly known as Indi-pop or Indian pop. You described the essence of the song really well. Ya do listen to his live performance with Salim-Suleman song named " Shukran Allah". He was guest in one private concert and music director + performer ( Salim- Suleman- Indian music director duo of bollywood) literally invited him on the stage suddenly and he sang his own song ( playback song of movie) with them without any audio testing. Sonu nigam is amazing. He can sing without missing a single note at any given time.

Alison, Indian and Pakistani song's lyrics have very deep meanings, even a word to word translation will never ever truly be able to describe what is said in and between the lines. I can translate lyrics word to word but how come I can bring in the depths of emotions ingrained within these lines with mere words. Imagine, at a beautiful night in a lonely place you are with your loved one and the moon is shining and you are sitting next to a lake where you can see the reflection of the moon & you two in that lake, with a light breeze blowing across your faces and you are listening to these sort of songs, understanding not only the meanings but the emotions within each single word, you can easily drown in such emotions in a way, which you never experienced before. Context of the movie :
The hero's father was killed by a gangster, he his mother and young sister survive through financial difficulties... the hero wants to avenge his father's death and gradually as he grows up gets drawn into mafia/gangster wars...his mother dislikes it and banishes him from their home....its been a while and hero is constantly involved in gunfights and life and death stuff for many years.... his sister though tries to search him and finally gets to meet him... at this point of time seeing his sister and remembering his childhood and memories of her this song plays .....the one line that keeps repeating 'Mar jau ya jee loo zara' : meaning the hero is contemplating should I kill myself (meaning should i keep getting involved into these life and death gun fights among various gangs) or do should I live my life a bit (meaning spend my life in taking care and being there for my sister)
