Into High Country Episode 7 Season 12 Jason hosts a hunt much like in the old days where there are plenty of tags in camp and friends gather around the meat pole after a fun deer camp.
Howdy Jason. There's something about the new addition of El Wencho that makes you videos rise to another level!!!!! It is like a making and eating a stew that has wonderful flavor and color. Yet with El Wencho, you've turned your great stew into a masterpiece of awesome flavor and color! It just seems to fit so well. Thank you!!!!! This hunting camp was a lot of fun for all there. You could just tell. 🙂 Later on Jason.....
I appreciate the background music being calm and pleasant. Rock is not the sound of the hunt. Great video as always Jason. I miss the deer camp of my youth so I purchased my own this year.
They don’t call Montana the land of opportunity for nothing. It was fun doing something similar in Idaho back in 2019 before the crazy Over the Internet wait in line lottery system on December 1st that came out the next year. I sadly didn’t have a tag 🏷 but it was fun to tag 🏷 along with my youngest brother, my Dad and 4 of their buddies for a mule deer 🦌 rifle hunt. Not near as successful, but my brother got a 3x3 and two others got young bucks. It was an interesting experience going 28 hours west and then helping my Dad and my brother. I got to hike 2 miles back and 1400 ft of vertical to retrieve my brother’s buck late in the evening. I also contributed by getting some grouse for some table fare. 😋🍗 Fantastic story and great follow up to your Mule Deer 🦌 and the Meat 🥩 Pole film. I hope to get a NR big game combination license someday. I know that I should focus on one species, but as soon as I only have a deer 🦌 tag 🏷 I will see a nice elk and vice versa.
Nothing like Deer camp with family and friends, but that is a tradition that is slowly fading away. We just don't have access to the lands so kids get disappointed and don't care to go TV hasn't helped that.
I helped a farmer in South Dakota in 2007, I have been pheasant hunting his land since. I am surprised that MT has their general deer hunt during the rut though.

Thank you for the reminder of the true purpose of hunting with Family and friends. Makes every hunt special when you can share the experience.

Jason sounds like he’s reading while following his finger
Haha! I just talk from the memory of the hunt. I must be a slow talker. 👍🏻
