The McLaren F1 team have catapulted themselves into the ascendancy in the 2024 Formula One World Championship battle. Since their huge upgrade package at the Miami Grand Prix in early May, which included a critical new ground effect floor, McLaren have been in the fight for race wins at every race. While other teams have fitted upgrades and found them to be massively disappointing, McLaren have continued adding to their car with great success. The rest of the grid have been left scratching their heads wondering what on earth they are doing wrong. Today, I’ll check out the incredible trick that McLaren have used this season to ensure that their upgrades deliver, and why the rest of the grid have to adapt or get left behind.

The other side of the argument as to why Aston Martin ain’t gonna be there if they’ve got a legend in Fernando Alonso and a mediocre driver in Lance stroll.
With McLaren, you have two premium drivers which speaks volumes in my opinion.
I think Oscar is going to overtake Lando before either can catch Max unless he DNF's.
I don’t disagree about McLaren winning the constructors cup, and I don’t mean to undermine the excellent job the whole team have put in. But I honestly think McLaren owes Perez a big thank you. 😂
Red Bull was always a one pilot team in constructors championship (since 2018 Monaco, when they announced that, the whole team will line up behind Verstappen and building directly a car what is in his favor), noone else has that "taste of driving" so doesn't matter who is sitting next to him, only Ricciardo was able to gain more points like Verstappen in the same car, but even Ricciardo lost his "leading" after 2018 Monaco..
So Red Bull is just a one pilot team because of their own decision.. (Perez even had his 0,4s gap to Verstappen in last year, but than the Red Bull still had 0,5s lead to the others, so 0,5-0,4 is still more than zero, that was enough for Perez for the 2nd pos..)

McLaren fan and loving their brilliant rise, but gotta say it’s amazing how well Max had managed recently, in a now clearly inferior car. Love Lando, love Oscar, but recognise and respect Max’s legend status.
McLaren has 2 drivers who do not bitch about the car, and drive according to the car. Piastri said as much. Oscar drives with what he is given, and so does Lando. The team does not work their car around the driver. The driver works around the car. This is why MCL is number 1 and has the 2 best drivers in the paddock atm.
Most teams on the F1 grid seem to spend far too much time focusing on what and how the other teams do things (often crying wolf and demanding restitution) McLaren however, have always been different! They look at other teams only ever in terms of performance. They emulate or out develop where they need to, quietly, confidently and with no concern whatsoever regarding the other teams oppinions (If it's legal, sod the other teams). Mercedes, Red bull and certaintly Ferrari all seem to focus on how they're percieved by the press/public. McLaren focus on the car, track and races in hand. All hail McLaren for always giving thier all to thier car and F1 races with fans always happier to see good racing over lousy media work!
They're also known to look at laptops stolen from other teams. Let's not forget, McLaren are the most notorious cheaters on the grid. There's a hundred million reasons not to trust them playing by the rules (most recent example being their "illegal" rear wing). 😂
Lando can only win in the fastest car. He even lost a few in the fastest car. He shown nothing special like lewis and max (brazil 2016) if he wins the championship it isnt very special then

Bro you gotta understand that its his first season that he has a competitive car, both max (when he got in redbull)and lewis were in a car that had some way of winning from the very beginning, give him some time to understand the situation man

You need a video on How a team's financual backing impacts development in the cost cap era.... MB uses to spend $450 million, now they and everyone else are stuck at $135 million, hence why MB had such a huge staff turn over and sharp decline. Inknow money can be hidden in drivers and key figures salaries, but development money is fixed. RB had to pjt their food budget in to make up for development over costs in 22.... so how does having billions at their disposale matter if theybcab only spend $135 million???
Since red bull had to stop cheating, they have been bad, surprise surprise! It's not that any teams upgrades are better

LoL it can only be cheating AFTER the rule change.... Maclean is technically cheating now too with their flexing rear wing. More importantly, they have been declining since Newey left who had been blocking RB upgrades he didn't agree with AND being the elder engineer on the paddock, HE was able to correlate the ancient wind tunnel data that RB is now struggling with.
Every team cheats. Its who gets caught
