This is really brave of you! #LoveWins! I don't have anything against transgender, I know what it is but I just don't understand it! But, I'm really pleased for you!! Congrats and good luck! ☺️
Thank you for your support:) I understand it's difficult to grasp but thank you for taking the time to attempt to understand a little more. There should be more people in this world like you!
I'm a trans guy named Matthew as well, haha. It seems to be rather popular among both trans and cis men. I'm going to come out to my parents soon and your video has been an inspiration to me. The experiences you described line up a lot with mine... it's all a process of connecting the dots and realizing what they mean.
I know quite a few Matthews of a certain age:) But still what are the odds of you falling down the UA-cam rabbit hole to find me! I wish you the best of luck in coming out to your parents, just make sure you're in a safe enough place to do so and have a support network elsewhere should you need help. Thank you for your kind words, every trans* persons experiences are different but I'm glad you were able to connect to mine in some way!
very proud of you I don't even know you and this is the first video I've ever watched from you. I can tell that you were extra nervous about this and your hesitation on the word transgender still. I believe in you and good luck with life
Thank you so much, I can feel how genuine a place your comment came from:) We're all slowly evolving right? It'll take a little more time is all! Wish you all the best x
My first thought was "what a shame, you're such a pretty woman", but immediately after I reaised how offensive and inappropriate it would be to tell you so. So all I can say is good for you, good luck for your future Matt, and I'm sure that pretty face will transition wonderfully to a vey handsome man! :) Also I'm glad you have people suppoting you, I know a M to F trans who basically had to choose between her family and her true self because they woudn't accept her for who she was :(
You're not the first who's voiced that opinion and I'm sure you won't be the last; whilst I consider my feminine face to be unfortunate I thank you for the compliment. Thank you for the support you've shown as well. I know I'm lucky to have the support network that I do. I have friends which are not as fortunate. But I hope to continue to make videos throughout my transition and help anyone I can through similar experiences. Have a lovely day x
Hey I really need some advice. I'm thinking of coming out as transgender (ftm) to my parents but the thing is i go to an all girls six form. When I do come out, i'm planning to start my transition as soon as possible. But I dont know what to do about my school.
Hi. I can't pretend to understand your struggle but seriously I hope you're feeling more confident since coming out to yourself. Coming out to yourself can sometimes be the hardest part! My suggestion would be to talk to your parents and hopefully with their support arrange a meeting with your principal/headteacher to talk through your options. Nothing is going to be easy from this point on but I believe everyone is capable of great things regardless of their own personal barriers. Good luck!
When I first discovered the word transgender I must have spent hours watching coming out videos and talking anonymously to whoever I could find online; not the safest method! I'd suggest starting with Childline: www.childline.org.uk/Explore/sexual-identity/Pages/Transgender.aspx The chat rooms are very good there. It's important to remember that you are in no way defined by your gender or any one part of your personality. Lots of people have gender worries and feel unable to express them. If you have supportive people in your life who you can talk through these issues with then I'd encourage you to voice your feelings. Trans* is a wide umbrella but regardless of whether or not you feel you 'fit' one gender, two, none or several, it's not anyone else's job to force you into stereotypes. I encourage you to explore your feelings surrounding gender privately first off perhaps through clothes, pronouns, make up or trans* products. Personally I never had family support so ended up mainly interacting through the comment sections of some of my favourite trans* UA-camrs: Chase (FTM): ua-cam.com/users/uppercaseCHASE1 Skylarkeleven (FTM): ua-cam.com/users/skylarkeleven Alex Bertie (FTM): ua-cam.com/users/TheRealJazzBertie Kat (MTF): ua-cam.com/users/TransDIYer Chandler (agender): ua-cam.com/users/MissPancake52
I wish you the best in your transition :)
Thanks so much Cindy:) Your support as always is much appreciated!
