Hi TFF are sound masters,it's amazing how it still sounds 40 years latter...head over heels is my fav' too...that magic chorus sends to the stratosphere!...2nd favorite...working hour...that sax always moves me...ev'ry track is great anyway...lucky sam!...This album is rare in pristine condition...played a lot...back in the days...enjoy...happy new year!
That killing joke is so so good! Somehow I ended up with two copies. The stay fanatic books are great. The riff for 80s was ripped off of life goes on by the damned from 82, and supposedly the damned got the riff from speeding up a Bauhaus song
I love your taste and videos! You make me wanna start talking about vinyl on the tubes myself 👀 I think I will give it a ago one day Started following you today on Instagram and big love to your whole collection ❤
I ain't no square with my corkscrew hair. Killing Joke takes me way back. The Electric Flag is mostly knew to me. I was only familiar with their upbeat Chicago Blues variation on the standard "Killing Floor". I hate it when other people's collections are more eclectic than mine, but you have won. This time.
You always provide great reference material for unheard music for me. Gratitude. FYI love that Killing Joke album. Brighter than a Thousand Suns my absolute favorite.
Just came across your channel Telegram Sam: great finds and reviews! I've been taking some time to sit back and listen to my vinyl collection also...but, we always go back for more! Looking forward to checking out your other vids.
Great stuff. I agree with you. Sometimes you need just to sit back and enjoy our albums. The Electric Flag is a fantastic band. Mike Bloomfield is in that band. Enjoyed the video.
Hi Sam ! Heard both Head Over Heels & Do It Again on the classic rock station 📻 the other day & they both sound great & bring back good memories. New album from The Smile is really good. ✌️
DAT WAS MY COLLECTION # WHEN I WERE A TEENAGER, + 3 TURNTABLES, ADVANCED RECEIVER, ALL HOOKED UP 2, 2 GUITAR AMPS THROUGH THE AMP HEAD'S, (MY OLDER BROTHER HOOKED OT ALL UP 4 ME), & WHEN I CRANKED ON THE MUSIC, YOUS COULD LITERALLY HEAR IT 4 BLOCK'S N EACH DIRECTION, MY MOM TOLD ME, "YOU'LL B DEAF B4 YR 21" (NOT) I STILL LISTEN 2 MY MUSIC @ FULL BLAST, I CHOOSE NOT 2 WANNA HEAR ANYTHING OR ANYBODY ELSE. DAT'S JUST ME. AWESOME COLLECTION THOUGH SAM. ( 3 )
Hi Sam night time is a brilliant place to start with killing joke..thats the album of 1985 and first saw them then..we're all mourning geordie still..as killing joke are now over..but you have a wonderful back catalogue to catch up on..gazzthegatherer...🥺
I haven't seen this channel for a long time and here it is again. For some reason there are some brilliant albums none of the collectors ever talks about, however it means a lot to me. These are - Niki and the Dove - Instinct album / Joy again - Piano / Porches -- Ricky Music / Annuals - Time Stamp / The Symposium - S/T 2017 / No Frills - Downqard Dog / Banzai Florist - Yr Dog / Future Islands - On the Water / Midnight Garden - Ruined ..... You should get it Желаю удачи
greenebear says,, i also still looking for Ann Peebles-I Can't Stand the Rain LP, currently i listen on tidal, great video Sam.btw 1000 records to have is awesome, you can listen every day a different record for 3 years.
I found an original Metallic ko a few years ago for 10 bucks. It’s far from perfect but I was very surprised to find it in a nic nac shop with maybe 30 other bad Christmas records. I have no idea how it ended up being there
Hi Sam, It's good to see you back! I'm planning to do what you did last year, slow down on the buying and listen to what I have. I have a feeling there are some albums that need to go. I look forward to your future videos. Take care.
Nice to see you again, Sam. I showed that Ann Peebles LP (UK version) on the vinyl tag. You're right; Bill Evans LPs don't come up much. I bought a couple in Japan last summer in immaculate condition. I sold my reissue copy of that Stooges album about 25 years ago. Silly me. It was quite rude as I recall...
Really cool video and awesome finds last year :) the whole Killing Joke “Eighties” and Nirvana “Come as you are” story actually has another interesting level. In my opinion they both ripped off The Damned and their song “Life goes on” ;)
Listen to the Hurting, and The Tipping Point from TFF, incredible albums, probably better than thier 80,s work, not often you can say that. Back story for the Hurting very poignant
Great vid! Also went through a TFF kick lately. My "bakers dozen" favorite vinyl finds of 2023 were: Autechre - NTS Sessions (individual volumes, not the box set) Billy Cobham - Shabazz Hugo Largo - Mettle Ill Considered - Liminal Space John Coltrane - Blue Train Tone Poet edition (mono and stereo, couldn't pick between the two) Lift to Experience - The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads box set Miles Davis - In a Silent Way - MFSL edition (unopened - for now) Pharoah Sanders - Pharoah box set (Harvest Time) Sonic Youth - The Diamond Sea 12" Spoonfed Hybrid - S/T Springtime - Night Raver test pressing Steely Dan - UHQR box set Various - In The Light Of Time (UK Post-Rock & Leftfield Pop 1992-1998)
Those are some fun albums. Recently I've been getting into Joni Mitchell's Hejira album that has some great Jaco playing. My favorite 2023 release was Gee Tee's "Goodnight Neanderthal".
Jaco was a creative genius. I’m always glad to see him getting love ❤
Wow! The Trip! My parents had this album and of course I had to see what it was about. Glad I found your channel. Just subscribed!
Great mix there Sam, that Killing Joke and TFF are faves of mine.
Nice to hear from you again Sam. You always have interesting things to say about your collection. Thank you. 😊
All exceptional picks🖤. Love when the younger set know their history. Quite eclectic.

Missy Elliott also sampled that Ann Peebles song did a great job on the sample as well
Killing Joke was a solid band. "Eighties" has a good groove.

Bill Evans was a genius, virtually every album is a classic, your one was released again last year.

Hi, Sam, I was looking for Heaven or Las Vegas of Cocteau Twins for a long time and I found it last december!
Pre 'outlaw' Johhny Paycheck is platinum!!
Woooww....Killing Joke is a great post-punk band, l love this band.
Great variety of finds as always. Ann Peebles is a favorite of mine. Do you collect 45s also?
Nice range of genre

I love that Bill Evans record. I picked up a reissue rather than search for an original but no matter the version, its a great record.
If you like Tears For Fears, check out Roland and Curt early band Graduate, Acting My Age album. It is on UA-cam.
Nice variety of music.
Nice job there girl. But please adjust your volume a little bit. You need to boost up the gain a bit

Iggy Pop, jazz, great stuff ..but I prefer tears for fears The Hurting , way less poppy
Listen to the Hurting, and The Tipping Point from TFF, incredible albums, probably better than thier 80,s work, not often you can say that. Back story for the Hurting very poignant
Great vid!

Just got my copy of Hejira on vinyl yesterday. My favorite.
Long time no see, glad you're back
Great video! Vinyl of Ana Frango song electric fish
Night Time by Killing Joke is in my top 5 albums of all time. Solid throughout. No filler. Their best work imo. Take care!!
You're not a T Rex/Marc Bolan fan by any chance?
Nice copy of that Bill Evans record!😮
Speaking of rip-off...Wonder if Metallica got the idea of their name and font from the Iggy pop album?
Vinyly, yep sorry. Puns were made🤦🏼♂
Great video but mic volume really low.
Who gives a crap what your ten favorite albums are
Me gusta como se ve tu cabello, y también me da gusto volverte a ver, apenas veo este video , saludos 🌹
