      Thank you Doc for everything.
My school is Universidad national experimental romuro gallegos. Venezuela.
It is recognised for WMD but it does not have sponsor note for my program
      medico integral comunitario.
As it has no sponsor note for my medical program that mean I am not eligible for ECFMG certification.
Do there is another way ? 😭😭😭😭😭 I wish I be able to take the Step , Anyone can Help me please ?
      I live in NYC.

In the state of Georgia, they utilize the California Medical School List as a reference. If your medical school is included on this list, you only have to complete 1 year of postgraduate training to obtain an unrestricted medical license instead of the usual 3 years. This allows you to apply for transitional or preliminary positions to fulfill the one-year postgraduate training requirement. This serves as an excellent safeguard in case you are dismissed from or choose to leave residency. It ensures that you can financially support yourself and continue to see patients, even without board certification.

Awesome content. A litttle correction: Caribbean Medical schools are grouped under IMCs (International Medical Colleges). Therefore, someone who graduates from such Medical colleges is a IMG (International Medical Graduate) and subject to additional certifications and training.
I'd say the only benefit of Caribbean medical schools is that some of them are affiliated to US Medical schools which allows them to send their students over to the US for clinical rotations in their 3rd to 5th semesters of study.

    Hi there
Can you look into how to get board certified in ENT as an IMG. I completed my CCT in UK just few months back and will be doing an advanced head and neck fellowship in London this year. The ENT boards say the alternativr pathway for IMGs requires 7 years of continuous work as an attending physician with teaching requirements. Unfortunately, they don't accept 2 years of fellowship work either. Hence it seems very long and arduous. Are you able to make a video on ENT ?

Since the match is already over, I would go to FREIDA (google for it) > filter for programs that hosts fellowships and sponsor visa > send email to program director and program coordinator of all family medicine fellowships asking for a out of match position. Manik sir, one question !
I gave my step 1 in 2023 and step 2 in 2024.planning to do residency from home country and will then do fellowship after pg from india. I wanted to ask, that the score is valid for 7 years, but i read that to you have to get permanently certifoed from ecfmg within 7 years, and for that to happen, one has to complete at least 1 year of residency. So does that mean that i have to gwt matched within 7 years and complete my first uear of pg within 7 years.
    Can you please explain this??

    1. I wanted to know how i can land non-ACGME fellowships? Where can i get more info on this? Do i have to mail random people or is there a streamlined process?
    2. Where can i get more specific information about the state specific pathway. I have mailed 2 PDs, one of them replied and other one didn't. One PD replied they are not participating in this pathway. Is there any way to know which medical programs are participating in this pathway? I mean there is little to no information about this.

Hi Sir, I am a Canadian citizen who pursued High schooling in India. My end goal is to practice medicine in the US. I have 2 options either to pursue premed in Canada ( as I am considered a domestic student in Canada so BSc fees are very cheap- I got into UofT with a scholarship) and then pursue medical school in the US ( which will be expensive as I will be treated as an international student in US ) or I can study MBBS in India ( in India I am still considered NRI because I have Canadian passport - so its still expensive in India as well ) and then pursue US residency, I am a first gen premed / medical aspirant and have no one to guide me, please help and advise on which path would u recommend in this case for long term ? am writing to seek your guidance regarding my daughter’s career plans in medicine. She is currently a third-year MBBS student and intends to appear for the USMLE exam to pursue her residency in the United States.
While I support her aspirations to gain advanced training abroad, my primary concern is whether she can return to India after completing her residency in the U.S. and practice medicine here. As her parent, I strongly wish for her to settle in India and contribute to the medical field within our country.
Could you please provide clarity on the current requirements or procedures for U.S.-trained doctors to obtain the necessary approvals or licenses to practice in India? Any guidance or resources to help us better understand the process would be greatly appreciated.
