Thanks guys I have the exact same issue. Dealer couldn't fix it. Going to try this now Just went and did this. Went to the limit each way and everything in between. Can't get 'P' to show. Must be a bad transmission?!
What is it about the one under the seat that makes it not adjustable, and the one under the dash is adjustable, they both look like jam nuts on a fork to me, I’m not sure of the difference.
There’s a nut on both sides. Depending on what way it needs adjusted, it needs to shift towards or away from the position it’s in and then both nuts tightened to hold it in place
Mine won’t come out of gear just like the cforce 600 I had but the 1000 is harder to rock back and forth and won’t read low or park sometimes as well. Ended up ripping on the lever a few times now when nothing else worked. Great machine otherwise
No kidding. You missed the point. You didn’t show the procedure of the adjustment. That would be helpful if your showing a tutorial on shift linkage adjustment
@ you loosen or tighten the nuts. That’s all you do. That itself makes the adjustment. If someone needs a tutorial on how to use a wrench, they probably should just take it somewhere. Lol
I agree. If someone can’t turn a wrench, they shouldn’t be working on it. I think your video shows people how to use a wrench because literally that’s all you did did was loosen to nuts using a wrench. You should rename your video how to use a wrench to loosen two nuts.
Thanks for the shout out Gary!! You the man!!
Dealer here in Ga sold the machine I had already did the paper work on. Then nobody had another one like it. I Understand the frustration .
Ridiculous
Tell Gary we appreciate to great comments about Msc. Hope y'all can come ride with us soon.

Thank you, brother!
Hey bro, how do you take these shocks apart on the rear of the XL 1000s is it left-hand thread or standard? I can’t get it to screw off.

Great video
Thank you, sir!

My brand new 2024 has the same issue.
Was it also struggling to shift in an out on an incline? If so, did this help? Almost impossible to get ours out of gear on any kind of incline
It was. I’ll have to ask if it helped that
Just bought a 23, mine does this intermittently. Been back to the dealer 2x now.
Give this a try. I bet it fixes it. Not sure why the dealer can’t figure that out. Lol
Is all you are doing is losoing it up a little bit?

Did this fix the hard to shift on any incline?
Ever get an answer on this?

You shouldn't be using park in these anyway.Ever!! Cheap stamped steel parking pawl will eventually break. No fun fixing it!
All you did was show us how to loosing the nuts. Nothing on the actual adjustment
@@corykroeger2231 that’s what adjusts it…lol
