This video is three years old but that's not going to stop me from explaining HOMESTUCK FAMILY TREES!!! If we're in the alpha timeline then Jane and jake are not related! They're only related in the beta kids timeline because they were both adopted by )(er imperious condescension!
Well, technically they are, because of when John was making the ectobabies earlier on, Jake and Jane where from the slime combined from John and Jade, and vise versa for John and Jade, from Jake and Jane.
@@thebiolibrary5572 yes, but they where created when John tried to appearing the younger versions of him, jade, Dave, and rose, the slime versions of them combined into two seperate machines, John and jade in one, and Dave and rose in the other, they combined and decided to make the echo babies of Jake, Jane, roxy,and dirk. The process also created the alpha kids, though vice versa.

That almost certainly accounts for where the book comes from, but it doesn't in any way discredit the likelyhood of ectobiology that is a constant in every session. Until we have seen evidence to suggest otherwise, there's no reason to assume differently.

For some reason, this video makes me wonder who Jane/Nanna's husband was in the pre-scratched univers (Since Dad Egbert was not ectobiologically made, Jane/Nanna must have had to marry someone in order to have him) and then there's that fact on John's/Poppop's wife in the post-scratched universe (Same rules, Dad is his son, which means he's had to have a wife). Whatever, this comment has no relationship to the video in no particular way.
