- Audi TT mk1 225 - cranks but won't start.
Driving home and the power started to reduce, felt sluggish as though fuel was cutting out. Got home with car just about to rolling. Since then it won't start.
Changed:
- battery (replaced as it was due)
- spark plugs (replaced)
- coil packs (all 4)
- camshaft sensor
- fuel pump (changed but I don't think orig was faulty)
- checked fuses and swapped to confirm they are working
Should I:
- replace fuel filter? About a year ago car cut out while driving. Fuel line from filter to engine came loose and wasn't delivering fuel to engine. Noticed smell of fuel at roadside, pushed cable back onto filter and it worked ever since.
- replace starter motor? It wasn't the best at cranking over previously, could it be a faulty starter motor?
Kind a stuck, any advice would be appreciated.
Maybe Crankshaft Position Sensor Or Camshaft Position sensor, because your Rpm’s aren’t moving.
Fuel pump. When you turn the key to ON position you should be able to clearly hear the fuel pump
Having the same issue with mine, my last point of diagnosis is water in the fuel tank, as I noticed sluggish performance during acceleration after the storm. Draining my tank today
cual fue el problema?lo has podido solucionar?
Possibly the Camshaft sensor
My 2001 audi tt is having tge same issue on the side of the highway. I leave it for an hour and then it will start anyone know?
Do you have what it was? I have the same problem
After replacing relays, fuel pump, crank position sensor and it still wouldn't start. I finally found the issue in a fit of rage, blown fuse! I literally took out each fuse one by one until I found the culprit and when I checked the diagram it was related to the fuel pump I think.
Did you find out what this was? Bad fuel pump? Dirty Maf sensor?
Injectors?
OK
I just replaced the cramshaft sensor, spark plugs, new battery fuel pump is good and still not turning on and doing the samething and i just put a new turbo 🤷🏻♂️ any suggestions?
Check your ecu at that point
Starter motor ?
Easy, crankshaft sensor
Just basic principle : check for fault codes . If it’s impossible : do we have gas ? Yes / no - do we have spark yes no . With gas and spark 90 % of the cars will run . I only hear here people who are good for parts turnover .
There could be a sensor stopping it though
@@XPSFrsty Yes : the sensor stopped what ? From getting gas or spark ?
Where did you get the battery & what kind is it?
Battery - Bosch S5 005
@@sajymundo fixed?
I just replacr my fuel pump and have the same problem
So it wasn’t the fuel pump ?
after checking fuses, replace a put new ones, for the pump, replace fuel pump relay 167 I think is the number, put a new harnes wiring for the coils, car start again!! Now I am working a Hight temperature maybe fan, maybe fan control module, or maybe just the the thermal switch@@brianzuluaga984
