This is by far the best travel video I've watched about Tucson. I was really looking forward to where to stay but came across your video and was pleasantly surprised. Thanks. You've got a new subscriber.
Hi deetles98. Thank you for the kind feedback. Actually, we aren’t very fancy eaters so we would be the worst for an eating guide! 😀. We really trend toward local, basic eats if given the choice.
Thank you for the advice! We’re heading to Tucson next week and only have 3 days to explore and see. Now I’m wondering what the housing prices are for a relocation but the wife needs convincing.
I am not from Arizona so all of this information is helpful to better learn the area! I am definitely excited now! Vineyards!!!🙌 Nightlife and music all accompanied by great cultural food. 💯
I must not be reading the weather chart correctly, it says that the average temp in August is 82° maybe you should fly out there next year, 82° is a cool day in January out there. 4 months of the year it doesn’t get below 115° day or night
Hi there Greg, We live in AZ so we are quite familiar with the temperatures and the table for Tucson is correct. The 82F you mention is the average of the average daily high and low. So daily highs in the high 90’s and daily lows in the high 70’s results in daily average of mid-80’s. Aug also tends to bring monsoon season which lowers temps slightly too. Phoenix is a bit hotter overall so maybe you are getting confused w that as well. Anyway, people who don’t live here tend to think it is unbearable but mornings and evenings are decent most of the summer and, overall, AZ is a more pleasant place than most east coast and southern US areas once they get to 95F and high humidity IMHO. Don’t knock it till you try it! So, the comment that “four months out of the year it doesn’t get below 115F day or night ” is wildly and blatantly incorrect. 🙂
@@scottsdaletravelchick I don’t know what part of AZ you are in but it’s not Tucson or anywhere between there and Blythe. My wife grew up in Tucson, my in laws still live there we have spent many weeks over there in the last 30 years. I don’t know how 115° in the shade cooling off to 110° at night gets you an 85° average but I guess if that is what you need to tell yourself to put up with it then good for you. Just don’t lie to people who might visit there or move there with that ridiculous table. And the monsoons are not every day and they only cool it off for a couple of hours they the humidity hits as soon as the sun comes back out. Very irresponsible of you as people need to plan for the right temp when traveling to or thru there. They should have a gallon of water per person and be dressed correctly. That weather is no joke it kills people every year that go through the area unprepared.
Great overview… almost TOO much information. Dining question: how would a vegan do in and around Tucson… do you recall seeing options in most restaurants? Thx.
Good question! There are a ton of restaurants that are cater to vegetarian menu. We always use YELP to check on options. My sons girlfriend is a vegetarian & loves the potato tacos.

@@scottsdaletravelchick I think your temp table might be for the summit of Mt Lemmon.
Your info about Tucson temps is not even close to being accurate! Have you even visited Tucson?
@@gregrasmussen9915I live here and would not have anyone visit between June October. Winter is heaven

One minor correction, and I suspect most Tucsonians will catch this… the name of the mission is properly pronounced as “San Havier”
