love my Arc60, wheww that purple is gorgeous!! Mine is a sort of off white, currently built plateless with L+F+broken in browns (and blacks on the mods). Really need to pick up some of these Machiatto switches!!
Have an arc60 plate less build with stock Zakus. Considering spring swapping to something lighter but figured strengthen my hands is easier than resoldering 😂
@@bren.r hahaha, hey man, I can’t blame you! Desoldering is super tedious / time-consuming unless you have a desoldering gun. I bought a Pro’s Kit SS-331 for about $130 a year or so ago, and it was probably the best money I’ve spent since joining this hobby 4 years ago (specially if you regularly do soldered builds).
Plate fork doubles as a great jig for straight plateless builds.
Everytime i watch one of your videos, i'm tempted to buy a new keyboard. And then i have to spend 10 mins convincing myself i don't need a 6th keyboard.

Are these switches factory lubed? Or did you hand lube them yourself?

I honestly disagree with plateless builds being crooked. It looks crooked because HMX switches absolutely suck for soldering.
Do they? Why is that? 😮
I mean, it depends on switches FOR SURE, but sometimes it's also the PCBs that have different tolerances. There are a lot of variables!
only did two boards with soldered HMX so far but I haven't had problems
A similar issue I had with Clouds too, having to test out different switches say from Gateron for instance has a better fitting.
