I tossed this one in with some other IEMs I ordered, and I must say that I am surprised. Had not seen any graphs and hooked it up to my Colorfly CDA M1 on which you get a very pleasant experience with these. Less so on the Apple dongle, and even less on an integrated sound card on a laptop, so I can vouch for your source sensitivity. If you want to try something V-ish that's still clean sounding with a good soundstage and won't break your budget, don't be afraid to get these. I think they are great value for money.

Yeah its not bad for the price, just outclassed by too many other sets at the same price.

I bought more of these that arrived a week ago. When doing A/B with the new and my used ones, the used ones definitely sounded better. Now, a week later I can hardly tell them apart. If you still have your set, can you give it a listen again and comment on how it sounds now?

@@Roenbaeck I have the 2 DD version and they are amazing, not boomy, they are warm but not basshead at all. They have detail much more than KZs EDA.

Budget-fi is still really obsessed with generic V-shape for some reason
I'd love to see KZ, CCA, BGVP or any of the other generic v-shape gang members make a budget version of the Fatfreq Maestro MIni.

This is 100% true, why mess around, commit to doing a real basshead set.

I always go to the KBEAR Rosefinch when I want Bass on bass on bass! Thick, rich, deep, textured rumble for days and yeah, the mids are recessed but an easy mod helps bring them out. But even stock, it is still so satisfying to this Florida '80s basshead who loves the 808s!! I haven't tried Juzear Clear yet, but 1 year and 20 great budget sets in, for bass quality and quantity, none come even close to the RF. The driver is great so it also EQs beautifully if you want to explore. I've learned to love a lot of different sound profiles, but my heart is still all about that bass 😅

Part of it is time lag. Sets like that a year ago would sell well. At the end of 2022 after so many nice budget sets, they need to do more than a crazy mid-bass set.
