Yes, Zerg can use Neural Parasite to build another faction's units. Protoss is easy since the Nexus builds itself, but it can be done with Terran via repeat Neural uses. Once the Nexus is finished, the Zerg can make their own Probes & related Protoss units!
11-second mind control? Actavision/Blizzard are a bunch of cowards. The Dark Archon used to permanently control units. Was that too "op"? Interesting. Aren't there still SC1 tourniemnets in Korea and/or Japan to this day? Those ALPHA CHADS don't play with this BS 11-second mind control limit. Their units PERMINANTLY get mind controlled. Not only does the opponant deal with it, but they will also ask for more because they're real men! They used to walk 10 miles to school. In the snow. Uphill. Both ways!
VERY helpful. I have some huge blindspots with this game apparently. I have been playing since SC1 came out in 98. and SC2 has been tough to keep up with competitively.
I'm glad that it was helpful! No shame in having blind spots. Even playing consistently, I feel like I'm always learning something or trying to practice a different strategy / approach. Both SC1 & SC2 are truly magnificent.
I thought I had long since gotten over the gross aspect of Zerg. Infestors though, yikes that mind control tether is nasty. I keep meaning to cast my vote for lurker use and counters!
I am inclined to agree with you there... the Neural Parasite is nightmarish. Don't worry about the Lurker request, they have already been voted for & are on my list. Thanks!
At my admittedly low league, constant baneling bust + ling flood waves are the best counter. A low void ray count is pathetic at killing zerglings as they wreck havoc, and my opponents rarely put the two braincells to build HTs to kill the banes lol That being said, I always rush out infestors + neural parasite against terrans who are BC rushing
That would be quite fun! As far as I know though, Infestors can't even target a dropship that has units inside. An error occurs: "Can't do that while occupied".
@@IndigosGaming They both kinda have the same problem. The Infestor's fungal and shroud abilities are nerfed defiler abilities, plague and swarm. And the viper is just an airborne version of the infestor, essentially, with its cloud and bomb abilities. Only abduct, and neural are actually new.
Defilers never get nerfed. The first year of WOL was a nightmare because of: Instant fungal that stuns enemies, an unlimited parasite as long as is in range of the infestor and the overpowered Infested Marine (that was Improve later). Do you think that's not as good as a Plague or Dark swarm? Well... that because these things can actually walk stairs and can be controled by more than 12 units 😑 Bring an infestor to Starcraft 1 mechanics and JUST THEN we will have a discution.
this video is the best explanation i've found so far. thank you
Haven't played SC2 in years, many things have changed; mucho apprecianados friendomigo.
There have been a lot of changes over the years. I'm glad that I could help!
2024 and this helped me a lot, thanks
Imagine playing with a Zerg player, then they just start building a nexus. The question is, can you then build the entire protos units?

I know this is late, but I believe there's an achievement for doing this.

@@IndigosGamingI miss the dark archon mind control

Great Video, Just what I was looking for. Thank you very much!!!!
No problem! I'm glad that it was helpful!
I love your style. Greetings from Lebanon ^^

Only 555 views? That makes no sense. This is an informative, entertaining, well done video.
Thank you so much!

Immediate thumbs up upon hearing the word "bulbous". The rest of the video was good, too!
Ha, I'm happy to have earned that thumbs up. Thanks, glad that you enjoyed!
The power of YOINK.
Never underestimate the yoink!
this is good to encounter massive carrier and void.
You are absolutely right. Infestor spells can be supremely helpful vs Carriers & Voids!
At my admittedly low league, constant baneling bust + ling flood waves are the best counter. A low void ray count is pathetic at killing zerglings as they wreck havoc, and my opponents rarely put the two braincells to build HTs to kill the banes lol

At first I didn't read how to use them and thought they were strong melee units
I too have known the pain of watching my Infestors walk into melee. The joy of discovering they could move while burrowed though!
Can they still do the infested terrain?
I'm new to starcraft
Sadly no. Infested Terrans were removed some time ago!
If you steal a dropship with units inside can you take the units out and keep them
That would be quite fun! As far as I know though, Infestors can't even target a dropship that has units inside. An error occurs: "Can't do that while occupied".
Which abilities can the infestor perform whilst burrowed?
Neural Parasite is the only spell that the Infestor can cast while burrowed.
So, basically a not quite as good Defiler, with a new ability?
Hmm. Comparing to the Defiler.. the Infestor is definitely not as good. I might rank the Viper more towards that level of importance.
