Long time follower and these overhead videos just keep getting better and better! I love how mindful you are about not promoting overspending ☺️ it makes this a wonderful space to be
The chantecaille single shadows live rent free in my brain. Especially the giraffe and elephant shades, they're just so stunning and really exude luxury imo. But $56 for one eyeshadow is just not something I've been able to justify yet
Kiko Milano has some single eyeshadows that give really similar vibes. 12.99 on Ulta’s website! I’ve been holding off on the Chantecaille ones due to the price but they are stunning!
I bought both mentioned shades at Skinstore when they had 25% off on the whole Chantecaille brand. I love the eyeshadows and plan to buy Zebra in the future.
Hannah, when I'm bored I do some stats. i just looked at your view counts and your like counts: 12% (11.89%) of your view counts liked this post. THAT'S A HUGE ENGAGEMENT. congratulations
i swear every time i watch a video of yours you say you love warm bronzey shadows and then you end up using cool taupey shades XD i think you might like cool tones
I'd love to see more fashion content from you 💕 I have a bunch of weddings to go to this year and specifically would love to see what you would wear. Always loved how you go glam and style in a sartorial or editorial way.
I love to watch your videos at my makeup table and swatch out my own tiny tightly edited collection like a happy makeup goblin! No matter what products you are using, I always end up feeling rich and excited to play with my own products and looks. ✨️Thanks for being inspiring ❣️
Everything you make is delicious but I have been CRAVING your fashion and home content. I’m absolutely obsessed with your style and how you think and act around those purchasing decisions. I’m totally in a style rut and would love to see the things you’ve been loving.
I'm in my 40s and have what I believe is a shopping addiction. I am broke most of the time, but when I do get $$, I binge, buying all the things I wanted when I was broke...and then I am broke again. lol Endless cycle. I ran across your channel a while ago but I wanted to hop on and thank you. Thanks for helping me appreciate and find excitement in what I already own. I am consolidating and keeping what makes me truly happy. This has helped SO much. Thank you again.
Love your beauty content! Can we get a closet update? Are you still liking a neutral palette as your wardrobe? Have you added back much of what you took out from your experiment? So many questions 😻
Love seeing what you use regularly - it's like dipping into a friends makeup case - and I'm a nosy person. Would love to see more of these videos every once and a while.
So this week I got a gooseneck tripod thingie for my phone and realized I could do some overhead filming. Thought I would just knock off a reel for instagram about depotting lipstick....let me tell you...the chaos. This is way harder than it looks and Hannah's hands look fantastic on camera. :D
I've had similar impulses because Hannah's overheads are so good they make it look so effortless. Thank you for confirming my suspicion that it's still very hard. 😄🙃
Hannah, I got my hair done on Sunday and my hair is it's own shade a Gone Greige. My hairdresser didn't have what she normally uses and mixed things together and it turned out absolutely Gone Greige vibes. I'm loving it. 🥰
After your recent declutter, I was so curious and excited to see what you would use, what became a favorite, any items you might be missing that you decluttered, in general what you just showed us 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 We need this monthly!
i would love if you did these type of videos every month, they are my favorite!!! also your voice is super comforting to me, a very unrelaxed, high strung person and for that i am forever thankful
I love videos like these. When I’m not in a place to buy something these remind to love and play with what I have, and when I am in a place to replace/try a new product, videos like these tell me a lot about what products stand the test of time!
I love this. It would be cool to see you do regular videos like this. Maybe monthly or seasonally? Maybe come Black Friday I'll splurge on a Chantecaille single or 2. I've always thought they were gorgeous.
I’m always cheering for the rose inc concealer for some reason. I don’t own it but I just love it on you and I’m so glad you repurchased. The first time you put it on I was like “THAT IS YOUR CONCEALER”
If anyone is lusting over the chantecaille singles, the Kiko Milano water eyeshadows might be for you, I have two of them, theyre an absolutely BEAUTIFUL baked formula and blend incredibly. I have one called pearly coffee which is this beautiful nuanced deep cool brown that sheers out more purple-y which mayyy be similar to elephant. Over all they seem to be the exact same type of shadow and the surface also has beautiful dynamic embossing that gives it a feeling much more lux than the price. I recommend checking them out! Xx
I have been using my Chantecaille elephant eyeshadow constantly too! It's just so perfect. I barely touch my palettes these days. Love your channel so much ❤️
Inferring takes work and I want you to quench my curiosity by just showing me your most used and loved products. Also, I love hearing you describe the whys and the details! Thanks, Hannah xo
Hannah top downs are just 😍 and it’s so refreshing to see what’s living rent free right now. This made me want to break out my moon dusts and play with them. Every time I see the Ami Colé I’m reminded how much I miss having a non-sparkly chocolate brown gloss/balm. I need one in my life again. Majorly. I’ll have all my bases covered then. Berry, corally pink, brown, and clear.
The more you use and love your makeup the more I love and appreciate what I have. my 1 year of no buy has been So easy. I am just not interested. What I have is the best and I am so proud of my choices - that whatever I bought instinctively from PatM or Charlotte or CP or TF or Tarte is the best of what they have ….for Me! Thank you Hannah. And Hautemess Tom is the other one.
i loved this video and would love more like it! the only request/suggestion i’d have is maybe adding in a visual of times you’ve worn a certain product, with overheads even with swatching it can never give a true sense of how something looks on, so i’d definitely really appreciate that. also, longing for the day merit and exa are available in the UK 😫 the exa colour corrector in particular would be perfect for me for the same reasons it is for you
I've been following your channel for about a year now and I have to say that it has become the only makeup content I consume (and I used to be reaaaally into the beauty community on YT). I find your videos so relaxing to watch and I love the concept and mission of your channel! It's so necessary and clever! It makes me appreciate so much the makeup I have and because of your videos I'm free of the anxiety to constantly own new makeup. I've been so mindful with my spending lately and so happy to own less and love what I own. Yesterday I got Space Cowboy in the mail after months of deliberation whether to get it (upon your recommendation) and it's the most special eyeshadow I own! First thing I did today was use it for a 1-shadow look and I looked STUNNING. It's made even more special, because it wasn't an impulse purchase! All this to say, love your videos Hannah, you're so creative with your ideas and eloquent with your presentation!
Seeing that WA lippie in your hands has me hopeful to see a review from you on the line. Ms. Westman really has captured my heart as of late. I await your thoughts!
I absolutely love the Chantecaille Elephant eyeshadow out of all my Chantecaille shadows. I bought the Nana & the Ami Colé & love them both. I haven’t tried the Merit yet. I’ve been able to teach my daughter about the green color corrector bc of u and I love a subtle blush. This video was awesome! I absolutely love your taste in colors. They r always absolutely stunning! Thank u!
started following you recently and honeslty love your work! I've been falling out of love with makeup, but watching your videos makes me fall in love again and want to try out new products/brands! Thank you! Again, amazing work!
I got the Exa green color corrector last week and it, on its own and very blended out, is the best, most long-lasting concealer that I've used. I would have never thought to use it that way if it weren't for your repeated praise of it. Thank you!
i have the Vieve Sunset Blush Balm on order and i am waiting with bated breath to see how this compares to the Chantecaille Cheek Gelée and the Glossier Cloud Paint
I really enjoyed this video! It's kind of the payoff to the setup of a declutter in that it's what happened when you culled your collection down enough to see the things you love and have the opportunity to use them, which is very (for lack of a better word) narratively satisfying. It was also really encouraging to see that a collection of ten items could be the core of a collection; even with your bent towards loving the beautiful things you already own instead of the standard appreciation for newness, someone who works with makeup for a living will never be able to have as few pieces as someone who doesn't can reasonably keep, and this edit of your mainstays is a way to illustrate the idea of that non-professional collection from within a professional one. Thank you for sharing❣
Loved the video. Purchased the Chantecaille mascara, used it a couple of times and put it away. Now I'm using it again and it's so wet and dark and a little gloppy, I'm really loving it. and I think it's what certain Europeans I know would wear.
I know the purpose of this is not to spend money and use what you have but I had some money and bought your recommendation for the skin glass and white mixer from haus labs and those 2 products have allowed me to repurpose foundations that I didn't like and now I love doing my makeup so thank you for your in depth reviews they really help.
First, I just want to say, I came to your channel for the fashion and stayed for the makeup. I am interested in makeup for the first time in my life in no small part because of you. Before I found your channel, I got the 2021 Chantecaille Advent calendar as my Christmas gift to myself and every single item is special. As you know, the makeup is luxurious, but I can't wait until you try their skincare; it's exceptional. The liquid phytoactive exfoliant, the bio lifting serum, the anti aging eye cream, and the gold mask were standouts for me, and I will purchase them again as soon as my budget allows. FYI some of my favorite face creams that you might like are from an Italian boutique company called L'Erbolario. Their products are sold in the US via a shop called The Herbarium. I routinely purchase the Delicalma and Hyaluronic Acid face creams. I am waiting to go to Italy to stock up at the lower euro price but even the imported price is reasonable.
I bought the exa green color corrector because I am very neutral so anytime you mention a grayish complexation product I am listening. I would like to get the Rose inc concealer too but it's unfortunate you can't swatch it in stores.
I would love love love some tips on the rose inc concealer. I have the shade LX 020 and I could use some application tips. I recently saw a tutorial suggesting mixing a primer oil with concealer before applying. I tried it once so far but not with this concealer yet.
I don't know if you'd want to but I found popping space cowboy out of its packaging super easy. I bought it on your recommendation and absolutely love it but I struggle to reach for singles. It's had a lot more use since I've incorporated into palettes I've built of singles.
I know you have three mascaras but you need the rose inc one haha. It is a serum formula, doesn't budge while remaining soft, gives long lashes. It is every bit holy grail as the concealer.
I saw the same "Kackie disses Chantecaille" video. She was a little taken aback by the price of single eyeshadows, but I think most of her rant was about the color grouping. Something about clowns running away from the circus...?
Recently, I’ve become interested in hearing your though on Blend Bunny’s Trove quad, especially as someone who appreciates multi chromes but doesn’t go for as colorful looks as most of the people I’ve seen before. I don’t think they would ever make it on trend mood but it could kinda fit into the “new release” content if you didn’t want to do a full review.
Any update on the possibility of reviewing the ELF green color corrector? I’m so curious about it! And maybe even the blue one? It can be mixed with really yellow base products to potentially create a green/olive undertone.
I watch hauls and favorites videos, and part of my process is to click the links and “add-to-cart” all of the things that spark interest, although I’ve been really conscientious about not buying. Most items just stay in the cart forever until they get deleted. But this… this delicious little decadent sampler of exquisite beautiful things has really hit me. It’s a strange dichotomy, to have the Queen of the No-Buy trigger such intense shopping lust. Between the eyeshadows and all 3 lip products, I’m gone! Time to put the phone down and step away…
I can tell you're a dancer based on your hand work. Alaska recently went on Delta's podcast/show & remarked upon how Delta has the most mesmerizing & beautiful hand work. I feel that way about you. It's like your casting spells or using mudras to keep us all pacified. Just lovely. 🤗💜
@@zerbirae4224 right? A lot of times when I watch an overhead vid even from fav content creators, their movements feel forced? Or awkward? Hannah has this beautiful movement that keeps me entranced 👀🕺✨
Hannah I'd be so curious- when you first think of "bronze" do you think of the colour of polished bronze or of bronze statuary? I always think of the deep, green leaning brown bronze of statues - which i can see would look amazing on olive skin - but I think everyone else thinks of bronze as modern highly polished "bronze medal" bronze, which makes more sense that so frequently they lean copper.
Okay so space cowboy always has so much fall out on me 5:34 and I can never get the base shade to show. Can you show your tips and tricks in getting it to look the most “wet”?
I would LOVE it if you would search for a dupe for Elephant for all of us who love it but cannot justify the price. 😊 I drool over Elephant EVERY time you wear it, but I won’t spend that much money on an eyeshadow when I have higher priorities
Hannah, you convinced me with your praise for the Ami Colé lip oil in their brown shade and I'm obsssssessed, so thank you! I know it may not be your type of shade, but did you see on Sephora they released a limited edition bright pink shade? I feel like you, debating with myself like do I *really* need another shade that I may not even love as much as my original purchase? 😄
Fluffy vs spidery…. I love how descriptive you are, @Hannah! Is there a video I can see to get an idea of what you mean? Can anyone else explain it to me please? I rarely use mascara and when I do I apply it with a wand a bit, but also with a brush and a lash comb, too…
the fact that space cowboy is discontinued makes me so sad. i've been trying to hunt it down for roughly a year to no avail. the fact that I'm in Europe doesn't help either.
I use the milani highly rated gloss as a lip treatment/prep almost daily, more than I wear it as a gloss. If that drugstore gloss is nourishing, why would anyone make one that isnt? 😆
Long time follower and these overhead videos just keep getting better and better! I love how mindful you are about not promoting overspending ☺️ it makes this a wonderful space to be
I totally agree
The chantecaille single shadows live rent free in my brain. Especially the giraffe and elephant shades, they're just so stunning and really exude luxury imo. But $56 for one eyeshadow is just not something I've been able to justify yet
Rhino is like elephant but even more magnificent if you end up getting!!! But yes the cost is rather a lot!
They are not all that! Way overpriced and i’m someone that loves high end/luxury makeup
I’m with you. I can barely justify $60 for the entire palette (although I have when I really love it, but yeah).
Hannah, when I'm bored I do some stats. i just looked at your view counts and your like counts: 12% (11.89%) of your view counts liked this post. THAT'S A HUGE ENGAGEMENT. congratulations

Same. I keep begging because I just don’t love instagram.

Id call the Elephant shade a warm pewter like a beautiful piece of old vintage metal wares
YES warm pewter is so accurate
Love your beauty content! Can we get a closet update? Are you still liking a neutral palette as your wardrobe? Have you added back much of what you took out from your experiment? So many questions 😻
Your end of year declutter lives rent free in my head. I love how thoughtful you are about each individual item!
I’ve been sick in bed all week and just have to say THANK YOU for uploading so much this week. What a serendipitous treat!
Love seeing what you use regularly - it's like dipping into a friends makeup case - and I'm a nosy person. Would love to see more of these videos every once and a while.

It's ridiculous how pretty her hands are. Lol
It's the rotating mani for me😌💅
I also love the way she wears her rings.

Fluertacious is LIFE. This is my favorite kind of video as an aspiring makeup minimalist. Fab
I love this. It would be cool to see you do regular videos like this. Maybe monthly or seasonally? Maybe come Black Friday I'll splurge on a Chantecaille single or 2. I've always thought they were gorgeous.
Would love a video of you applying this look all together!

The new palette building video and now this! Overhead content is just so good!
I also have and love Chantecaille Elephant. Just stunning.
Hi ❤ you’ve really helped me be mindful with my spending habits! Your content makes such an impact!
I love the content here, especially the overhead presentation!

Desert orchid by Pat McGrath is absolute favorite blush, even over my creams. Be sure to swatch if you venture in store
i loved this video and would love more like it! the only request/suggestion i’d have is maybe adding in a visual of times you’ve worn a certain product, with overheads even with swatching it can never give a true sense of how something looks on, so i’d definitely really appreciate that.
also, longing for the day merit and exa are available in the UK 😫 the exa colour corrector in particular would be perfect for me for the same reasons it is for you
I did really enjoy this style of video , it shows a reality and honesty that we don’t always get to see on UA-cam. Thank you
These are intriguing products. Thanks for sharing.
Ahh I needed my HLP sensory fix 🥰

Yes Hannah. It WAS a fun video. You are so articulate with your comments and the products are made tempting by them.
I love Space cowboy. Somehow I used one up and am on the second one.
started following you recently and honeslty love your work!
I've been falling out of love with makeup, but watching your videos makes me fall in love again and want to try out new products/brands! Thank you! Again, amazing work!
YES! Love this idea!!
So glad I found your channel
Would love more videos like this periodically
I loved this style of video!
Helpful. More, please 🌸🐝
I would love to see you ude the Blunder Cover again!
I did enjoy this! It's interesting to learn how things have actually shook out!
I can’t wait to try make beauty! I have been needing a new mascara. I’m almost out of my L’Oréal lash paradise.
Loved the video. Purchased the Chantecaille mascara, used it a couple of times and put it away. Now I'm using it again and it's so wet and dark and a little gloppy, I'm really loving it. and I think it's what certain Europeans I know would wear.
Loved this! Would love to see it monthly or quarterly ish
I know the purpose of this is not to spend money and use what you have but I had some money and bought your recommendation for the skin glass and white mixer from haus labs and those 2 products have allowed me to repurpose foundations that I didn't like and now I love doing my makeup so thank you for your in depth reviews they really help.
I'm so happy to hear this, Robin! I think that judicious purchases are an important part of building a life in which you love & use what you own
I love Chantecaille Happy - such mixed reviews online but I love it and it loves me
I loved this video and would love to see you report back monthly to see what changes or stays the same. ❤

I love your overhead videos ☺️ since you did your single eyeshadow declutter, do you plan on acquiring the odens eye singles for review?
I'm loving all of these video uploads!
L♥️ved this content! Thank you!
I bought the exa green color corrector because I am very neutral so anytime you mention a grayish complexation product I am listening. I would like to get the Rose inc concealer too but it's unfortunate you can't swatch it in stores.

This was so fun to watch! Just came from a scathing Kackie Chantecaille video and here you are loving some things. I love hearing everyone’s thoughts.
I saw the same "Kackie disses Chantecaille" video. She was a little taken aback by the price of single eyeshadows, but I think most of her rant was about the color grouping. Something about clowns running away from the circus...?
Makes me more interested in the products that I have not already tried.
Also not trying to push for unnecessary purchases but I think Chantecaille's Rhino would be STUNNING on you 🥰

Definitely helpful.
I would love to know what you use for sunscreen under your makeup.
Very helpful thank you
Keep doing your thing Hannah. Loving all your content!
Okay so space cowboy always has so much fall out on me 5:34 and I can never get the base shade to show. Can you show your tips and tricks in getting it to look the most “wet”?
Marakesh is so beautiful
I would LOVE it if you would search for a dupe for Elephant for all of us who love it but cannot justify the price. 😊 I drool over Elephant EVERY time you wear it, but I won’t spend that much money on an eyeshadow when I have higher priorities
Love it.
I saw the pink but luckily it's not for me! I feel like nothing could possibly outshine the brown :)
@@HannahLouisePoston agreed!
The chantecaille elephant looks like Dior beige mitzah eyeshadow in my opinion. Do you think so too?
Fluffy vs spidery…. I love how descriptive you are, @Hannah! Is there a video I can see to get an idea of what you mean?
Can anyone else explain it to me please? I rarely use mascara and when I do I apply it with a wand a bit, but also with a brush and a lash comb, too…
Curious on your thoughts on merit lip oil in falcon vs the ami cole excellence brown shade?
I hope for MAKE to release a waterproof version. Wp is the only thing that keeps a curl on my stick straight lashes
Yayy 🥰
How does the chanticaille elephant compare to dior beige mitzah, I wonder? From you swatch, they look like close cousins.... 💚👁💚
Even after you made that beautiful edited palette?
I filmed that palette-building video and this video on the same day :)
the fact that space cowboy is discontinued makes me so sad. i've been trying to hunt it down for roughly a year to no avail. the fact that I'm in Europe doesn't help either.
I use the milani highly rated gloss as a lip treatment/prep almost daily, more than I wear it as a gloss. If that drugstore gloss is nourishing, why would anyone make one that isnt? 😆
Thanks for the behind the scenes..not a UA-camr, would there be a less expensive version of this...most of these are " luxury" brands.
