'll say one thing Jerry...that is one of the finest repairs I have ever seen.. I don't believe theres anyone that would have even wanted to try repairing it .... Yup you knocked it out of the park on this one......That should have scared the Trolls away.......

Amazing repair. Your scarf joint looks like part of the original neck/head stock design. When the owner gets his instrument back he is not going to believe it doesn’t have an entirely new neck on it.

A doctor, with your patience, common sense, attention to detail, and experience, would charge a gazillion dollars for this much reconstructive surgery and you weren't assisted by a staff of trained professionals, the healing properties of the body and Creator, a film crew, or even that third hand. I realize that you have gone overboard with fixing this thing but it came out fantastic. Well done
This was a monumental amount of work for the $500.00 amount mentioned in the part 1 video. That soft part in your heart sure came to the forefront in this video. I sure pray the owner of that instrument has a deep appreciation for all your efforts, and one day in the future he will feel the need to pay it forward to another deserving individual. Gorgeous. I love bare wood necks and I sand all of my necks. My guitar buddy in Venice was horrified when I sanded (followed by linseed rubdown) the neck of my new Epi SG. Call me crazy, I like the feeling of wood in my hands and fingers on nylon and metal strings which is why I don't use a pick (which I did for 41 years) so varnish, whatev. Jerry actually used the trussrod right away to correct the underbow so yes, he totally made that call. My favorite part is when he is sculpting the new neck. I was literally in tears (I am a "maker") as the neck morphed into a thing of beauty. I can't wait for part 2 of the Rosa Guitar Build. Much love from the Big Boss Basin (L.A.).

I watched this video 3x to learn how to fix a les Paul head stock break. I have fixed them in the past but I want to do as good of a job as you did. I’m so impressed with the technique and will be a UA-cam apprentice of yours for years to come

Your customer will be absolutely 'over the moon' when you return his instrument. Well, he should be. What a fantastic job you have done.
It is an amazing repair. I knew you wouldn't give up and when I saw your drawing I thought you would have to make a complete new arm in the end. Well, ou did an absolutely astonishing repair job. I think you should sign it. I would prefer this mandolin to a brand new Gibson one. You ought to have signed it saying : "Rebuilt to better than mew status by Rosa String Works!"!

Jerry, I'm flabbergasted with your unbelievable repair on this otherwise pretty much destroyed mandolin. You really do underestimate your considerable skills at realizing your vision of the finished instrument. I doubt that according to the law of diminishing returns if anyone could have done a nicer job, even doubling the budget.
This video in particular is why I'm so impressed and have been subbed for quite some time now.

Wow great job Jerry! That was an amazing blending of wood and finish. As my Dad say if a pie looks good but tastes bad, who wants to eat it. If a pie isn’t pretty but tastes delicious, it will be gone before anyone notices how it looks. If an instrument is pretty but you can’t play it, then it can not fulfill it’s purpose. It becomes static wall art. This mandolin may not be perfect but it looks good and makes beautiful music 🎶. Purpose fulfilled, living art creating joy for the player and listeners.

Well done Jerry...you took on a job that most would have refused and you made it work and work well. When I do a repair, sometimes it's not about the money it's a feeling down deep that says I've got to make this work regardless whether it's a personal challenge or otherwise. Two thumbs way up you deserve it!!! In this world of greed you've proven you have a heart and your customer is very happy because of it.

I say the same thing, don't look at something for what you see, close your eyes and imagine that in mint condition. Some people can't see that due to the lack of ability or never dedicating themselves to being a tradesmen, it's a major form of art and many people underestimate their abilities. We are incredible creators if we only allow and believe in ourselves, but it takes time to learn certain techniques, critical thought exercises our brain, it allows us to become snappy and the answers of complicated issues flow from our mouths. Everyone ask me what my favorite go to tool is, common sense.
