I would say it's slightly more inspiring that he/they released possibly the best NIN album of all time last week after being a band for about 30 years.
I like how Trent has evolved from an skinny little dude wearing fishnet arm wraps and lipstick to a buff leader of an dystopian combat unit. And still kicking ass.
@Salvador Diaz del Valle Santana - Outside of like 2 photo shoots (where he was dressed by the photographer), Trent never really wore lipstick. During a bit of the Fragility tour in 2001, we saw a few performances of him with LOTS on his face... mud, sweat, dirt, grime, paint, cornstarch... and sometimes lipstick, but it was never like a “Thing”. On UA-cam go look up Terrible Lie from And All That Could Have Been to see an example. It’s the first song of the show and visible. By the 3rd song, typically everything was sweat off of him.
I was at that show and it was absolutely amazing! I was screaming and jumping around like a madman when they hit the stage! Braches/Bones is a facemelter live!
Trent just defies all boundaries. I mean, how do you begin to write/make music like this? Chaos/disorder/anarchy and yet with the utmost precision, meticulous in execution. True genius, supported by great players.
Trent has endless potential and energy, absolutely unreal what he's accomplished. I don't know what I would do without NIN growing up. Hope you're around another 30 years doing what you do best Trent.. your fans will always come back for more.
DeathlyHall0w Damn where were we when we needed eachother l0l , but yeah same I missed 2013 too and was like come on with it; this shit needs to happen already. But atleast Trent doesn't want to stop, and loves the feel of the stage every now and good then
Haha, I saw Yes live a year ago, Steve Howe looks like if he sneezed he'd just crumble, and he rocked out more than half the bands of my generation! Plus Trent's way too fucking intense to chill!!
I am dyingggg to see NIN live. If you get anywhere near Miami--fuck it, near Florida, even if two states over, I'm buying tickets and hitchhiking a ride with an ex-con or something to see a live show. This video only strengthened my resolve.
Rebeca A. The Lights in the Sky tour was the best live performance I have ever seen, and they never disappointed at the other dates I saw as well. I hope you get to see them one day soon. Miami in 2000 was my first time seeing them, on Trent's birthday no less!
mathaeis NO questions about the LITS Tour! I still say that was the best concert I've ever been to and I highly doubt it'll be topped either! I like what he did with the Tension tour too. It was a big gamble bringing out backup singers but holy hell did it ever pay off!!! I feel like Trent knows that his music needs to be paired with a mesmerizing light show and he's not ashamed of that either. You don't need to be stoned or drunk to enjoy it like some other bands claim you need to be when seeing them live (no need to mention names but we all know who...swim swim) I'm looking forward to the day they come back around with another tour anywhere nearby because seeing them the 4th time would be an added bonus at this point!
seen em 3 times in the past 4 years in Florida.... even drove down to the southern end, Sunshine FL, all the way from north florida once...DO NOT miss another one!
Thank you so much Trent. I know you probably won't read this but I want you to know you are definitely up there on the list of best musicians of all time. Not only that, but how you hold yourself up and stay true to yourself, take care of yourself inside and out is a true inspiration and motivation to us all. Thank you for being the best you and giving so much of you to us.
I was at this one, too! That’s two of these officials videos where I just happened to be there to witness! Growing up in Bakersfield, I never thought they would play here! I believe this was the first time they ever did! When my phone was ringing off the hook that they were playing here I didn’t believe them haha! Fan since 15, this happened when I was 39! Thanks for living up this boring place for one night! Will never forget it!
Hey, I was at this show! I didn't realize this was on UA-cam. Total dumb luck for me being there: I was on a solo road trip to hike in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks and this show got announced shortly before I left. Cut my trip a day short and headed to Bakersfield. It was in a minor league hockey arena, I believe. And they only used half the arena IIRC. It was a bit different than other NIN shows because a good amount of the audience were not hardcore NIN fans so much as Bakersfield residents just happy to have something to do, ha. But it was a killer show, of course! And, UA-cam readers, that's the story of the time I saw NIN in Bakersfield.
That's fucking awesome I was born in Bakersfield Ca! 1992! my parents used to go see NIN and Korn (she actually grew up with those guys and Rob Zombie and Limp Bizkit and Cypress Hill whenever they got the chance! So glad you guys are pumping out the jams again!!!!
I feel really sad, that i missed you when you were in Czech Republic. This is something i really want to be a part of.. to see you live. That would really be a lifetime achievement for me.
I never realized how much creativity you can produce as a single person until my dad told me at the tender age of 14 that "The Nine Inch Nails" I was listening to, was the work of one person. That stuck with me. In a positive manner. I hold Trent and Atticus in high regard for their ability to create art. And Add Violence is great.
Omgoodness I can’t get enough of this!!!! I just got here @NIN !!!! I knew about you fellas in my twenties but I was working hard and Christopher Cornell was in my car... I never laid eyes on Cornell!!! I knew his magical voice!!! The king!!! He died. Reznor? This man just came and said something NICE 👍 he took something back? I looked at the TRENT! A KING 👑 HE IS!!! @treznor you are a Man more than that you have created something and many things.... you will never stop!!!! You are driven!!!! Like him!!!! ALL OF YOU GUYS HERE!!!! KINGS!!!! Can’t get enough! See you in Michigan and Washington! 48 years old appreciating your ART! Sarge!!!!
The first song - I never liked it on the EP, but this live version is AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to catch NIN live again! 3 times and i never thought id be lucky enough to see even one....love Trents beautiful mind
I'm amazed that, when it comes to the musical side of performance, Trent, after all these years, sill has full musical capability and that genuine energy of his. Me likey!
Trent's just old enough to be a grandfather and yet he's still rocking the fuck out. Much respect to this legend. Can't wait to see what else NiN's got.
Branches sounds so good live, I wouldn't say better than the noise of the album, but equally as good, has all the makings of a live staple, I do like it more than 1,000,000 in this regard too
This only makes me wish I was there that much more. You don't sound anything *less than* amazing. I look forward to see what next year brings NIN touring wise. 😍
Always cool to see Robin Fink sharing the stage again with Trent, too. The only musicians that tend to stay alive and in the game for the long haul are the ones that clean up, but even then there are sadly no guarantees. I'm just grateful for all of the amazing artists out there, living and gone, but damn is it cool to see NIN still going all in (heck, even on Twin Peaks).
Nothing more inspiring than seeing an artist doing whatever the fuck he likes to do.
decentradical
TRUE
decentradical
Preferably while jerking off with jam on camera.
I would say it's slightly more inspiring that he/they released possibly the best NIN album of all time last week after being a band for about 30 years.
FEELS LIKE I'VE BEEN HERE BEFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH
NIN but every time Trent says HEY it gets even better
maestrozero117 I really want to mix him and Freddie Mercury saying Hey! Over each other. Queen was after all, a huge influence on Trent.
Thank you Trent for everything
I like how Trent has evolved from an skinny little dude wearing fishnet arm wraps and lipstick to a buff leader of an dystopian combat unit. And still kicking ass.
Gyrbae, you got that right! Year Zero is upon us!!! Time to Add Violence!!!
Best comment ever.
@Salvador Diaz del Valle Santana - Outside of like 2 photo shoots (where he was dressed by the photographer), Trent never really wore lipstick. 1989 Reznor: level one crook
2018 Reznor: level 100 boss
@TLOofMPLS
And Year Zero is getting closer every day.
(....it’s getting closer....it’s getting closer...)
I love how Trent still prowls around the stage after all these years.
NIN is timeless. Trent might actually be the coolest dad in the world, period.
All of these on stage shots are the best concert videos. So awesome
Can't believe Reznor is 52 years old. He looks more like 42.
32!
nah I'm 46 and he looks older then me. He looks 49, sound good? lol haha
Yes, Trent has a good & high vital energy level.
I was watching this thinking what the fuck, he grows older backwards, he looks better now than he did a decade ago on beside you in time! :D
The secret is simple: he lifts and doesn't pump his body full of shit.
Trent has endless potential and energy, absolutely unreal what he's accomplished. I don't know what I would do without NIN growing up. Hope you're around another 30 years doing what you do best Trent.. your fans will always come back for more.
You have not lived unless you have seen NIN live!!!!
Must see before my time is up! The best band in the world
DeathlyHall0w Damn where were we when we needed eachother l0l , but yeah same I missed 2013 too and was like come on with it; this shit needs to happen already. But atleast Trent doesn't want to stop, and loves the feel of the stage every now and good then
I simply missed Tension '13 because they didn't come to Chicago... or anything relatively close
Good to see some folks from the '90s era can still bring energy to the stage.
Haha, I saw Yes live a year ago, Steve Howe looks like if he sneezed he'd just crumble, and he rocked out more than half the bands of my generation! Plus Trent's way too fucking intense to chill!!
Please stay alive, please stay alive... please!
*The* Nine Inch Nails. I'm sticking with it.
MH80 No.
MH80 Yes
MH80 Maybe
yes.
Perhaps
Welcome back Trent - carry the flag, stay alive, Bowie's watching from above.
Jesus, finally, this is the spirit and the sound that Ive been waiting for since Year Zero tour and lineup. Amazing.
I am dyingggg to see NIN live. If you get anywhere near Miami--fuck it, near Florida, even if two states over, I'm buying tickets and hitchhiking a ride with an ex-con or something to see a live show. This video only strengthened my resolve.
Rebeca A. You won't regret it. I've seen them live 4 times, and each time was absolutely amazing. One of the best live bands ever.

I've seen them in Atlanta 3 times, got to get close up. I actually saw them at the very small Tabernacle show they played with Dresden Dolls
Thank you so much Trent. I know you probably won't read this but I want you to know you are definitely up there on the list of best musicians of all time. Not only that, but how you hold yourself up and stay true to yourself, take care of yourself inside and out is a true inspiration and motivation to us all. Happy ADD VIOLENCE day
ironically the day Chester died lol
this is beautiful
Trent is always in the mode with every performance... he's a true artist and is always 110%.
There's a 52 year old man with more energy and stage presence than the majority of his 20 year old counterparts. fucking inspiring.
BEST BAND EVER!!!
but the Beatles tho
nopp NIN will always be the best
Glad your still around, Trent...
It was a great show! Thanks guys. And the sound was on point!
Reznor is truly quite defying in his longevity.
Happy to see these guys back
Awesome video.. Christ I want to see NIN live so bad
He has been one of my biggest musical influences for the past 21 years. A true inspiration.
I was at this one, too! That’s two of these officials videos where I just happened to be there to witness! Growing up in Bakersfield, I never thought they would play here! I swear, ever NIN song has my favorite guitar tones ever.
Hey, I was at this show! I didn't realize this was on UA-cam.

Awesome. Welcome back even though you haven't left. The music still sounds fresh and new.
Excellent work by director Brook Linder. She knew exactly where to be at all the right moments during those two songs.
Trent always kills it in live shows. Hope he comes to DC or Baltimore
They sound amazing! Trent sounds better than ever
I feel really sad, that i missed you when you were in Czech Republic. This is something i really want to be a part of.. to see you live. That would really be a lifetime achievement for me.
This is so perfect! One of the best lineups ever with Atticus and Alessandro Cortini! And Ilan Rubin is just fantastic as always!
Trent and Atticus are the best duo ever !!!!
Atticus is literally the worst thing that has ever happened to Trent's musical career. He's the Etty Farrell of Nine Inch Nails.
An Oscar says different.
@Six7Six7 - that's debatable, honestly
I'm so grateful to have been there.
Amazing I'd love to see a whole set list performance. I like this direction you're going Trent, the ep has been on non stop this week.
Oliver Murphy they had a ton of cameras at this show. I'm assuming they plan to put out a documentary and live dvd after tour.
Omgoodness I can’t get enough of this!!!! I just got here @NIN !!!! I knew about you fellas in my twenties but I was working hard and Christopher Cornell was in my car... We've still got Trent! Keep making music, forever!!
holy FUCK branches/bones is incredible live.
i was there!!!! thank you TRENT and NIN!!!!
変わらずにパワフルなステージが頼もしい。これはシーンへの完全復活といって良さそうですね♪アルバムが楽しみになります。
A whole concert filmed like this would be awesome
I was at this show and it was amazeballs. I cannot wait for them to tour again. Well worth braving the grapevine and 115 Degree heat.
OMG.
I have "live goosebumps" listening/watching this.
NIN has saved me more times than I can remember.
The GOAT of Industrial Music!!!
This concert melted my face off.
I'm amazed that, when it comes to the musical side of performance, Trent, after all these years, sill has full musical capability and that genuine energy of his. Me likey!
NIN never gets old
Alican Chains and all that could have been tho
THIS IS WHAT WE ALL NEED.
Welcome back, old friend.
The most recent release ADD VIOLENCE is fucking excellent. Love the new tracks, Trent.
Hope NIN does a tour. Take my money.
OMG!!! I love him
so glad to see these guys on stage again
They're so epic live. I wish I could afford to see them live again.
I was right in the front here! Kick ass performance and my first concert ever.
How lucky to see NIN for a first one !
Reznor is so good at marketing. Awesome shooting.
I'm ready for another tour. Never enough NIN!
@ 5:16 Trent was like ok it's time to smash all these keywords and drums and suddenly he realised it's not 90s anymore!
A Timeless band. The best of most.
Can't wait for Panorama Sunday night!
Tha k you for uploading that. Everyone looks and sounds great. Hopefully we all get a tour soon. The new EP is awesome
I'm really happy that Trent met Atticus :)
I was at this Concert, it was AWESOME!
5:16 Trent's making sure the boyz didn't lose their live chops
What a fantastic band.
Home alone yet i still wanna applaud for this performance !!
Ladies and gentlemens the genius is back on stage!
Trent if you read this, please come to Hungary. We need a kickass NIN show here!
Trent's just old enough to be a grandfather and yet he's still rocking the fuck out. Much respect to this legend. Can't wait to see what else NiN's got.
I can't believe NIN came to Bakersfield and I missed it!! 😩😩😩😩
NIN!!! Been waiting for some new stuff! 🤘🏻
Thank God
i got to admire that he is still going strong with his passion with a few exciting songs coming out
Dude this is bad ass , NIN for life . Still down since Halo 1 🤘🤘🤘
Trent's still got it even after all these years. Looking forward to a full scale US tour!
Branches sounds so good live, I wouldn't say better than the noise of the album, but equally as good, has all the makings of a live staple, I do like it more than 1,000,000 in this regard too
Let's hear it for Nine Inch Nails. Woo! They're good!
he's back, and sounds REAL GOOD.
I REALLY hope I get to see you guys this time! Been a HUGE fan for 20 years.
please stay alive, I don't think I can handle another legend to die
Welcome back. You've been missed.
This only makes me wish I was there that much more. You don't sound anything *less than* amazing. I look forward to see what next year brings NIN touring wise. 😍
Just amazing. See you on Sunday at FYF Fest!!
Holy shit how many people playing synth now.. I love this!!! Can't wait to see you in NYC and Chicago!!!!
I'm so excited to see ya'll next weekend!
I can't wait until I get the opportunity to see them live for the first time
Really hope NIN plays a show in Toronto some time soon!
