I love the Chinese concept of the bun with the lamb soup!! That's very similar to the roti we tear up and mix in our lamb tongue soup in Hyderabad, India. We call it Nahari and have it for breakfast :)

As much as you like spicy food that is special, go to Louisiana. The seafood is wonderful, and if you want to try the turtle and alagator they really add flavor. And no broccoli. The spicy corn on the cob is addictive.

On several occasions I have eaten rather nice aeroplane food but it is not something I ever rely on. Mostly, I just eat on aeroplanes to ensure that I don't faint in transit!

Might be a tourist question but how do you actually read the menu if you dont know the language, like do they have an english menu or how do you know what u get especially if you go to authentic and really popular local places
I personally don't like the texture of rice noodles, but looking at that egg and potato dish on the plane, I'd rather have the rice noodle dish. We have Nexus too, (Global Entry), it's great. The line-up for Nexus crossing into the States via the Border is a shorter wait time than the normal crossing. 😀
That Mongolian cheese wonton looked really good but everything else didn’t sound like it was that good other than the potato dish he said he liked and I like sour foods also so I think I could eat that if it wasn’t too spicy.
I have never asked why the Chinese spoons have that distinctive funky shape. So I am asking you. My best guess is tradition from originally being shaped from bamboo but I have no real idea. Can you enlighten me?
Eric Valor because we eat everything with chopsticks so spoon is only supposed to be used for soup. That shape enable it to contain more soup vs a western spoon.
