Midsummer Magic’s gay moments really need more attention: Like Moomintroll doesn’t bat an eye when Sniff is entranced by the Hobgoblin’s magic and the food. Annoyed, yes, and an issue he’ll need to resolve, but nothing too out of the ordinary from Sniff. But the moment *Snufkin* falls under the spell’s influence, does Moomintroll really get angy and fed up.
Anyone else feel like children's programming is really stepping up their game? Comparing this to the 90s Moomin (which yes, had tons of charm) there is a ridiculous amount of attention made towards character development for both Moomin and Snufkin.

Finally watched all three seasons and was wondering, does anyone else notice how much moominmomma definitely knows something we don’t. I mean at the beginning of season 3 when snorkmaiden is hugging moomintroll on the dock. he’s just not having it and his mom cuts in and they share a knowing look. I have a feeling that if snufmin becomes fully a thing moominmamma won’t be surprised at all. This isn’t the only moment I’ve noticed by the way.
I was a fan of The Moomins series some 30 years ago but I love this new version just as much and I can't wait for Season 3 to be available in France! Thanks for making the wait less excruciating with these vids! 🙂 It's always been Moomintroll longing for Snufkin or clinging to him so I find it refreshing to show the other way round. I love how desperate and lost Snufkin seems to be whenever Moomintroll gets mad at him. "Moomintroll, wait!"... Even if he's upset, he runs after Moomintroll in the Lonely Mountains when the latter leaves saying he doesn't need Snufkin in his life to be happy and he also runs after Moomintroll after he tells him "the only happiness you care about is your own!". Moomintroll has always been understanding with Snufkin's need to be alone and to leave in winter but now he's not afraid to let him know how it really makes him feel ("It might feel great when you've chosen to be alone, but it's not the same when you haven't!") or to point out how selfish Snufkin can be. On the other hand, Snufkin stops pretending he's better off alone and doesn't need anyone: he actually needs Moomintroll as much as Moomintroll needs him and I was so shocked (in a good way) when he admitted he missed Moomintroll too during winter and thought about him all the time... this is such a giant step for him! Aww... our boys are growing up and I love them so much! ❤
