Can you or someone here in the comments recommend good books for arabic poetry? With translations for people who learned arabic but are not native speakers (interlinear/word by word translation would be best)

Abū Tammām and the Poetics of the ‘Abbāsid Age
Poetical Works of Behá-ed-Dín Zoheir of Egypt
The Mufaddaliyat; an anthology of ancient Arabian odes according to the recension
I haven't read them tho, but I think they might help

The poetry of the Arabs...ya Salaam 3ala Gamal.
When one hears of poetry like this...one is reminded of why the Quran had to be the miracle that it is; to impress the Arabs and to wake them up from their sleep...(a sleep that many of them have returned to now) SubhanAllah

Most arabs who had the time in their hard lives to listen to the Quran discredited the Quran by accusing it of being "just poetry!"
Because it was and still is wise to not follow poetry.
Someone who makes life choices based on what the poets produce cant be a responsible just person.
Quran is different from poetry. It is not fun to listen to. It is a very serious series of intense messages.
Whoever hears it and understands it is in debt to The God, and his salvation is bound by how well he obeys the commandments.

Truly these poems are beautiful. Truly these poems touch the hearts of the believers. Truly these poets, with there iman, have exceeded all expectations and all worldly desires, who create such eloquent, yet easily relatable masterpieces.
I am from Bangladesh. Bengali language is also known for its rich and beautiful literature, which I have read and recited and boasted about for years, yet when I hear poems such as these my heart yearns for such wisdom.

There is different stories about how he came to be known as almutanabi
The first one says that he claimed to be a prophet when he was young but was captured and repented
The second one is that he can predict when the rain would come so the bidounes called him almutanabi

      Wa alaikumussalam wa rahmtu Allah
      - I read an Arabic explanation for the poem if available, if not I use a traditional dictionary for unknown words to me
      - I read translated poetry to know how frequent words and themes are translated
      - When a word/phrase is used in the Quran or close to a phrase in the Quran I make use of the available Quranic meaning translations
      - The same for the available Hadith translations
      - Otherwise I use al-Maani dict. ( www.almaany.com/ar/dict/ar-en/ ) and simply Google to search unknown words and their synonyms in different contexts and select the most appropriate ones
      - After finishing I make a more concise and easier to read version of the translation to make it suitable for UA-cam subs
