From interview to interview, even up to the present day, Stevie never fails to show his gratitude for his Gift. What a gracious, humble genius. A rare bird, indeed. Respect.
8:55 "Music doesn't belong to any one particular person. It's a form of expression that we are given the ability to use to express our feelings and to feed off each other." So sayeth Stevie. Amen to that.
Aren't there any more interesting questions to ask this amazing human being OTHER THAN the issue BLINDNESS??? That's so shallow and counter productive while in the presence of this legend.
wm young You are so right 🙄. Songs in the key of life was just released roughly a year before this interview. Not one mention of IMO the greatest album ever written and recorded. Really?? We all are fully aware of his blindness. Smh
Omg I can not stand that interviewer, PLEASE stop for Gods sake fixating on Stevie's blindness. Stevie was there as a musician/professional, to talk about music and his work, and not as the spokesman for the blind community. Even though this was 40 years ago it's still makes me so angry when people are ignorant against people with disabilities. And it still happens to this day.

I love his mid Atlantic accent
Just his speaking voice was so melodic.

Love the fact that at this time he was introduced as a "rockstar" :)

+Syl Ander Exactly. I certainly believe that album was the best piece of music ever distributed on the international stage.
Stevie was patient with him
The Greatest Lyricist To Ever Write Music PERIOD!!!!
Bach wrote lyrics too. just saying. Beethoven wrote a handful as well and not just poetry from schiller.
I love stevie
greatness.
I wonder if there was a point when he told interviewers not to ask any “how does it feel to be blind” questions
he had time to talk with Stevie wonder and all he has to talk about is that he's blind??
Ayesha Curry people always asking him bout his mo town days and his blindness every interview I wish they could ask him something else fr
Most talk show hosts and entertainment reporters are so predictable.
