Stevie and I lived in Detroit in the same neighborhood we were children then, before he went to Motown. He lived on Breckinridge Ave. off of 23rd St. Everyone in the neighborhood was happy for him when his career took off. Stevie was friends with John Glover ( songwriter/musician John lived down the street on 25th St. I must mention the name of James Gittens (Motown studio musician & jazz musician) he lived next door to our family. I didn’t start out to write so much, my memories took over. God bless you Steveland, hope and pray you have many more productive years ahead of you.
Stevie you are the most down to earth guy that anyone knows when you were talking about your mum I got chills you could hear the sadness in your voice but one thing is for sure your one of the most down to earth people and you have a great sense of humour and your one of the best artist to come out of Motown love you Stevie and don't change for anyone you are a great artist with a huge heart and a great sense of humour love you Stevie xx
First time I’ve seen this. What a legend, what a man, & credit to Jonathan Ross. As an interviewer host he brought the absolute best out of Stevie here. Great TV.
3:52 That is so unbelievably impressive I almost can’t believe it. That kid has got RHYTHM. Not only is he following the beat but the way his whole body is in sync is just a very big tell he could be a great drummer
The best light I have seen of him, great interview! Fascinating answer, and Im glad Ross touch on it, and I say that because there ought to be a book on his life.
I would buy it for sure! A lovely, funny and inspiring human being first - then an incredible music talent, awesome musician: a perfect man, friend and a true inspiration for us all 😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
One of the greatest of all time. And here, interviewed in a British Television. Not being told what to say or not to say, on American television. Refreshing. Thanks Stevie and thanks a lot to Europe. Cheers!
Those lyrics for "Fear Can't Put Dreams to Sleep".....almost evoked TEARS from Jonathan Ross (@ 14:47 ). So, he had to make a joke about "My Cherie Amour", to stop his tears.
People who were born blind or were blind from very early childhood can adjust to things easier than those who go blind when they’re older. Stevie is just a remarkably talented person, similarly to Ray Charles, who got on with things despite their situations.
How can you be such a musical genius, one of the best ever, and yet, and more, and on top of that, being and even more incredible, intelligent, witty and warm human being? How does he do it? Seriously, HOW???
I met Stevie a few years back. I was standing a ways in front of him and when I saw him I choked up & couldn't move any closer... Stevie looked at me, walked straight up to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "can I give you a hug?". I still don't understand any of that interaction. I swear that man see's with senses none of us have tapped into
@@leftylucy2263I'm an Uber driver and have watched (listened) to several blind people use their phones. They have a system of voice cues that sound off, but really, REALLLLY fast. So fast I couldn't keep up with it. It's frankly incredible how they use phones. If you ever get a chance to watch it, definitely do, it'll amaze you.
I never realised until watching this how funny Stevie Wonder is. _"I know you're a big fan of Ray Charles, they've recently made a movie about him and.."_ _"Yeah, I saw it."_ 😂😂 He legit has great comedic delivery.
I love love sum yes Stevie Wonder I've listen to his amazing gifted talented music for many years God has personally touched & bless this man! stay blessed Stevie💓💓
Stevie liked a comment I made on his facebook page and it was because it was inspired by his music and not about him. He is a truly humble man of love and touches my heart through his music..he wants us to all love each other
I wish I could tell stevie wonder how much I love his musical gifts that he shared the world❤️ his piano melody's and his singing really took you to a heavenly place and his lyrics was like a magic carpet ride ✨️ Thank you 😊
The most loved individual on the planet…. They say Buddhas come in many guises… his soft chilled voice , wisdom and hugely positive outlook is awe inspiring
Seeing his son playing drums got me emotional cuz the only difference is his son has sight. He looks and plays like his father. It’s in the bones. He’s got it!
I lovedlove him so much. Christmas eve, 2023. Now. Presents under the tree for our many great grandchildren. Cookies baked for tomorrow. People....I loved him so much. 1977, Nola. I had booked a room in the hotel across from, connected to the Super Dome. I was going home to Kentucky. I got out of my rented car, walked toward the hotel lobby. I saw a black man get out of his limo, guided by a beautiful young woman. I looked at him. It was him!!!! It was Stevie. I walked across the parking lot toward them. She smiled at me. She said something to Stevie. He shook my hand, she did, too. I told him that I loved him. What else could I say!!!!!! He smiled. It was so wonderful. Stevie wonderful. Actual and real.
yea, I would concur with a previous poster....Stevie is on another level in so many ways. He's just a man of love...pure love. His music is PURE LOVE. And it may mean nothing or it may mean something, but you NEVER, EVER hear an unkind word said about him, from ANYONE...I bumped into this video, as I moved away from his performance of "Uptight" (Outta Sight) at the 1989 Rock 'N Roll HOF performances. And that song is a perfect example of how he goes out of his way to make you feel GREAT.
He makes these kind of jokes himself my brother knows him personally and tells us things he says and he’s got the one liners going on there and that’s just Stevie
