So sorry to see Dawn leaving but she's staying within the horse community which is fabulous. Looks like the retreat was well received and lots of fun was had.
It is concerning that once again several valuable employees are leaving. Sad that they can't seem to get stability but only with a few. I love this rescue and what they do, prayers you can find the right people to hire and they come quickly.
Are you aware of how non profits are structured? It’s tough to work for low pay and minimal benefits in an emotionally challenging work environment for the long term. People need to move on. Dawn was with them many years. She helped grow the organization. She needs to keep growing too as she has a lot to give. Negativity seems a waste here when they manage to keep up a strong and qualified staff allowing new talent to rotate in as needed.
@@Groundedsquirrel ❤ I’m not feeling any negativity.🤷♀️ but we do come to love “the Team” And when someone moves on, for personal reasons, we all want them to know they are loved and will be missed. ❤🥰🤗🌸
It's what happens when a shelter can't keep up with the pay that other places can provide. Why work hard for less money when I can work hard and get more money? Kory has a family to provide for now. That's just life. People move on from jobs every day. Nothing that only horseplus experiences. A lot of these shelters switch out people.
What's bizarre is that y'all think the inner-workings of an organization you are only affiliated with via UA-cam is any of your fucking business 🤔 Let me be MORE blunt: NO one from this organization owes you or anyone any explanation as to why they made the career choices they did and the organization does not owe you an explanation of their wages unless you are going through their hiring process. Give your love and attention to the animals here that need it and stop worrying about other people's lives.

It would be great to focus on current staff, changes and introduction from Tawney to creative team and hands on workers. Who they are and what they do. Thank you for allowing a suggestion for an episode.
You need to follow the 20 percent rule. Rider and tack should be no more than 20 percent of horses wright several horses with larger rider showed lameness in hocks and weakness. This could be because you failed to follow the 20 percent rule.
Educating other rescue professionals, law enforcement, members of the community, probably staff and volunteers, and probably more. They would be able to tell you better than I can, this is just what I remember. Yes, it was a riding ring, I believe they used it strictly for desensitizing with the use of obstacles. They generally train in the round pen. Though I’m sure there is other training we don’t see - like navigating gates, standing tied, etc. Last I saw in a video, Korey was helping with an outdoor obstacle course.
Chiropractic works wonders for horses. The 2 mare with hock issues would benefit greatly from chiropractic care. Issues may be in the spine, hips, or even go all the way from the poll. Really wish you would consider chiropractic care for alot of these horses.

I am shocked you let Hailey start riding horses in the round pen. She hit a brand new intake that had its eye removed, on his blind side, with a flag, and I caught her wacking a brand new surrender on the wither and back area after a horse turned back towards where it's friends were, instead of towards the intake chute. She should be fired for abusing both horses. I'm all for second chances but she did it again in the round pen. Flags should never be used to his a horse, just to speed up the horses and saving time on intake. Use natural horsemanship you claim to use, be kind! You are causing trauma to the horses. Hailey must not work with horses on your property ever again.
They are in a part of the country where there are not humane shelters or maybe even animal control in some of the counties. There is a real excess of homeless animals. That is why They chose the location. They hope to get to the root of the problem instead of always just treating the resulting abuse and neglect. So they need to educate. Also they offer education to law enforcement on safe handling of animals, such as in seizure. Finally, like someone else mentioned, the donation may have been specifically earmarked for that cause.
To : Tawny, Hey so hopefully with all the work you've done to stop this so called big lick sport and I'll leave it at that I mean we all know it's abuse but there's another community of horse people out there abusing horses in much the same way...charro dancing I'm sure you've seen this Mexican dancing charro horse's but to train the horses to do this ridiculous dance they abuse them in much the same way that big lick trainers do so I was wondering if that would be next on your list of equestrian abusive people? Because whenever biglick is over you'll need something to fill any extra time you may have lol just kidding but really not because someone needs to address this abuse for real and you have done so well at stopping biglick I was hoping you would also take this on...thank you
I hear you talk about stacks and chains regularly but don't mention what this does to the rest of their bodies, especially their hind ends, you can see how this must hurt their backs and hips. For people that don't know I feel this should be mentioned more. Thank you for all that you do, Love you all so much for this.
That has happened to me on other channels. But I subscribe to hundreds as I want to help new UA-cam channels. I found that if I deleted some after I was no longer in the first 100 subscribers, I was eventually able to resubscribe to some of my favorite ones. But with Spirit Horse Equestrian, it took probably a month of hitting the subscribe button each and every time I watched her channel before it really "took" so that I'm really subscribed again. Hope this helps.

They chose the location.
I have been unsubscribed to your channel and I can not get it to resubscribe.
@@alycewich4472 Here's how I got it to work. I unsubscribed, gave it a second or two and resubscribed, worked like a charm.
