I know how you feel listening to his music. I was at this Aloha concert that was broadcasted around the world and seen by 1.5 Billion people i was in 3rd row center n could not take my eyes off of him. I was 21 n went crazy n yes im old now but Elvis music keeps me young wish I had been able to go to more of his concerts. If he was alive today he would be 86 yes old. Elvis is in Heaven n singing to God n the Angels n oneday we will see him there. You do the best reactions n I cry listening to his music also

This concert done live back in 1973 in Hawaii was the first satellite hookup worldwide. Over a billion people saw this concert on television including myself. I was 19 years old back then. And now that I am 66 years old. This song and this moment still resonates deep in my soul. And this concert in Hawaii has stood the test of time.

Elvis did give cues to the band, but he also was a consummate gospel singer from his early years and he could make you emotional just the way he performed - then add that AMAZING VOICE that was so deep smooth and powerful, and as he got older his voice just got deeper and more powerful -- im a straight guy 61 years old but his performance of this song tears me up every single time and im not ashamed to say it.

His funeral was like a presidents....people fainted...even died...there were thousands lining the route...police saluted his car as it passed and many were openly crying....even tho they were police they couldnt help themselves sobbing. Elvis was very special. In ur spare time u should look up his funeral....the man behind the voice...he LOVED books & was an avid reader of EVERYTHING....He sesrched for spiritual meaning throughout his life...a very complex soul who died giving his all to his fans....i cry when i hear many of his songs EVERY time an dont know why!! Its crazy...he will always be remembeted & loved 💞

Elvis had an ability to GRAB any ounce of pain or sadness or anger inside you and RELEASE IT. Even if it did not directly relate to the song... but close enough. There are just not many singers/performers that can do that that stood the test of time. Elvis was that rare cult of personality who possessed the inert talent to move humanity through music and artform.

Sometimes on some of his songs I get really emotional as well, but I’m not really sure why; so I’ve decided that Elvis had such an impact that sometimes maybe i got a bit of what he was feeling, which is why it’s so confusing. That’s why he is still with us and having such an impact on so many people who knew little about him. He accomplished so much more while he was on Earth than he knew he did with his spirit of love, caring, & passion. He was afraid he wouldn’t be remembered long after he was gone.

That performance combined three songs that obviously met something to Elvis and to the American people. Dixie, the battle hymn of the republic and glory glory hallelujah. This song is especially poignant in this day and age and living in America because this song obviously has to do with America’s Civil War! it was a terrible terrible time in America‘s history that people living here today feeling evil elements trying to tear people apart in order to hold power. The truth is that Prayer he’s actually the greatest defense against evil. Elvis is praying and when one sings, one prays twice! 😊🙏🏽.

Yes his style changed a little towards the end of his life.He wore several gold necklaces n rings. This performance you can see the 3 large gold rings on his right hand n 1 very large diamond ring on left hand( this one could have bought a house) And yes the jewelry was real. His man gave most of his millions of dollars away. He said money didn't mean much to him. He just wanted to give it away to see people happy. His rings were $40,000 n up. I really love your reaction.
