Dr. Jon, I love your videos, and understand how sleeping flat is best, however I need to sleep on an incline. I have a lung condition where sleeping inclined is best for me. I purchased a 10” wedge pillow and sleep much better, but I want to make sure my neck is in the correct position. Can you show me via photo or drawing how to use pillows to give me the correct alignment for my spin and neck? Thank you!

Hi. I am a back and side sleeper with L5S1 spine & disc damage from left to right instead of from back to front which is a permanent condition with sciaticac-shaped curvature spine, and a neck out of alignment while sleeping what is the best way to protect the neck, spine, and sciatica pain relief while sleeping with what you suggested in order for the neck and spine to feel better?

@@drjonsaunders I tried out a lot of beds yesterday, and I think I found one that is both firm and comfortable. Do you have any thoughts on these new-fangled adjustable bases? Can the ability to elevate my body or my knees (or both) be helpful for sciatica?

I have bulging dislocated disk lower back. I can't even get into a sitting position in bed. Like I forgot how to sit up cause every time I do. A very very sharp pain in my lower back tail bone prevents me from getting out of bed and it sucks.

I trained myself to sleep on my left side years ago when I learned it helps digestive system , it truly did , however as you show it appears my hip is being overly stretched which is causing pain as soon as I wake up and throughout the day . On top of that , oddly enough , it forces my left eye to go into my pillow and wake up super dry . Because even though my eye is closed the pillow is soaking up the moisture my eye produces lol eww

    -Sacralization of l5 vertebra
    -Loss of normal lumbar lordosis
    -Modic type 2 changes
    -Perineural cyst
-Dessication and diffuse disc bulge noted at l4 and l5
